As soon as Glitch logged out, everything became dark around him. For a moment, he found himself back floating in the dark space, and the next second, he was lying inside the gaming pod.

This disconnection with the game world was surreal. He still found it fascinating how a vivid world disappeared into darkness within an instant.

He tugged on his elbow to press the red button to open the game pod lid. This time around, he was careful. First, he made sure that no one was standing next to his gaming pod and then moved out slowly.

As he walked out of the gaming pod, a few people in the hall glanced at him and then went back to talking among themselves.

He looked around and saw that around ten people were still in the gaming pods. While most pods were empty.

Well, it was the same as in his last life. Most of the people here either had no interest in the game or were grinding too hard without doing proper research.

He sighed, remembering how he used to be in the second group, spending every minute in the game, hoping to change his situation.

He shook his head and walked out of the gaming hall. While moving around, he heard many groups talking about Boss Bruno and Vice Leader Yusif.

It looked like while he was in the game, more trouble happened between those two.

Well, he did not inquire more. He knew, being one of the B-rank members in their eyes, they would surely approach him soon.

Besides this rising tension among those two, many were also talking about their spawn positions in the game world.

A few were happy to spawn near the meeting location, while others were sad about being teleported quite far from the meeting place.

Now, he was not sure how long these people who spawned near the meeting point could maintain their smiles.

Whether there were any hidden quests for the group ruler present on the planet or not, one thing was clear: All of them were nothing but slaves in the guild's eyes.

So anyone who walked to the meeting place from the start would have to slave more than those who joined later.

Jules clicked his tongue at this and walked to his room. There was no one else in the room. He looked at Mark's bed, and his tablet and mobile phone were missing.

Mark must be roaming somewhere. Not caring much, he just grabbed his new cardboard-thin mobile phone and walked out of the room toward the canteen.

While walking, he examined the latest cardboard-thin, semi-transparent, unbreakable glass phone. Without opening the phone, it was like he was holding a small piece of see-through glass in his hand.

He moved his fingers around the side edges of the glass, and this lit up the front screen. It also created a hue on the back side, making it opaque from the back.

Even though it was the first time he ever held a phone in his hand, his finger danced on the smooth glass screen as he initiated the bio configurations.

A red light emitted from the front of the mobile screen as he placed it in front of his face. Just holding his phone for a few seconds enabled basic face recognition along with an advanced retina scan.

Then a green light emitted all around his phone, and he held it with both hands, allowing the fingerprint scanner.

All of this was a basic security configuration; still, it took him days in his past life.

Not that he had never seen a phone. Most of the senior members carried them, but they never allowed recruits and expendables to use these phones.

As an orphan, he did not have the luxury of using these expensive gadgets in his childhood. While he joined the group very early, these phones always remained things he could see, but he never used them for the past 16 years.

In his last life, his unfamiliarity with these gadgets was also a big reason he was dumb in his first few attempts at the game.

In Universal Online, there was a famous saying that those who won outside would mostly win inside.

Unlike inside grinding, outside grinding was about gathering information and executing it before others.

This time, he had no plan to lose in the outside war. Done with all the basic configurations, he downloaded the Universal Online app on the mobile app.

This app allowed access to multiple Universal Online forums along with tutorial videos for the game.

Opening the forum search, he entered the planet Nex coordinates, and hundreds of different forums appeared on the screen.

First, he joined the recommended forum at the top of the list. This was the basic forum that connected most of the players in the region. Other forums were player-made, mostly made by a couple of players for nonsense like finding aliens and cursing politicians. 

The government and the big guilds controlled these forums, which were not officially linked to the game.

They were a haven for new players to learn about the stuff going on around the game world. This app also had a V-Tube section where players could upload their gameplay to earn followers and money.

After joining the forum, he entered the planet Nex coordinates in V-Tube and found around ten channels. Many of them were lifestyle player channels with three news streamers and one storyteller.

All these people were those who gave up the ruler class and joined other classes in prior rounds. Most of the channels were months old, but none were older than a year.

The biggest of them was this storyteller with an explorer class. After a quick scan of the videos, it looked like this guy moved around different regions, telling detailed background stories about all the kingdoms on the planet.

But it seemed like this guy had already left the planet. Most of his recent content involved the region in space around the planet Nex.

He still marked this channel and subscribed to three reporters' channels.

Unlike the streamers, who focused on either exploring stuff or showing unique experiences on the planets, The news reporters were those who covered the rulers and the ongoing wars between them.

Many of the big gaming channels had these reporters spread around different planets. However, these three do not seem to be part of any channel for now.

Well, he expected that, as covering all the other planets in all galaxies was close to impossible. The big guy controlled the center area while the small guys tried their luck in the outer area.

There was no new channel right now, but he was expecting a couple more channels in the upcoming days with this new cycle.
