2 Chapter 2 Eye of the Creator

The Divine Enthronement battle after ten years of the game's operation, all other classes had divine positions, only the Hunter didn't.

Back then, Li Yao, after playing Hunter for eight years since giving up on the Thief occupation, had practiced his bow and arrow skills hard, however, wasted two years playing Thief at the beginning of the game. There are two types of treasure chests in The Ancient God World, one is the random chest. They randomly regenerate on the regional map and randomly drop items of corresponding regional levels. These chests will respawn after a certain time once opened.

The second type is called the unique chest. These chests are unique. The respawn locations are fixed, and the items they drop are also fixed. Plus, they won't respawn after once opened.

Such as the chest that Li Yao was opening. After Li Yao opens it, all the chests in the High Elf's Newbie Mirror Map would disappear.

In his previous life, the Eye of the Creator was discovered by a Japanese player despised by everyone two years after the game started. The man was of a terrible character.

His favorite activity was to kill Chinese low-level characters. Killing a few low-level characters once or twice was acceptable, but what was unbearable was how he persisted in killing Chinese low-level characters over the years.

He was once placed on the most-wanted list by countless Chinese guilds. In a desperate escape, he stumbled here and discovered the Eye of the Creator.

The second effect, as long as he learns Engineering, even if he doesn't have blueprints, he can still craft items he conceives. This is recognized by the system rules. As for the quality of the items crafted, it depends on the skills of the maker and the quality of the materials used.

The third effect, as the Titans created all beings, naturally, they can see through the strengths and weaknesses of all beings and fabricate camouflage. The so-called camouflage is almost like a second identity, with plenty of benefits.

For example, in the early stages, if he didn't want to attract attention but had strong capabilities, things like first kills in raids or boss announcements could be claimed under the identity created by the Eye of the Creator. He could play the role of an unseen expert while secretly amassing broader wealth under his own identity.

"This is the perfect spot for level 2 and 3 elite raptor respawns. Taking down these elite raptors should help speed up my progress," Li Yao checked his skills panel.

Each class, when starting at level 0, could learn one of three initial skills. Subsequent basic skills would require learning from a skill trainer, and advanced skills would require skill books.

The three skills for the Hunter class were Charged Arrow, Concussive Shot, and Arcane Shot.

Charged Arrow: The greater the power accumulated, the more potent the arrow, with first level charge doing 125% damage, second level 150%, third level 175%, and fourth level 200%.

Arcane Shot: Fires an arrow imbued with arcane energy, causing 150% damage. Cooldown time is 10 seconds.

Concussive Shot: Fires an arrow that does 50% damage and slows the target for 4 seconds. Cooldown time is 8 seconds.

All three skills were great and necessary for gameplay. However, since Li Yao was leveling solo, he needed to learn Charged Arrow.

In free mode, the charged arrow could potentially knock back or even knock down a target if successful.

However, Li Yao's current weapon was just a white-ranked Novice Bow, only capable of achieving a level one charge. A green-ranked bow would enable a level two charge, and so forth. Higher bow quality allowed for higher charge levels, but achieving a charge level above four also meant meeting certain player attribute requirements.

The High Elves' eyes turned green due to their Sunwell being corrupted by the Scourge, but by equipping the Eye of The Creator, Li Yao's eyes reverted back to their pure sky-blue color.

After equipping the Eye of the Creator, Li Yao gained a different perspective of the elite raptors.

"The blood-colored hue on its head signifies a breakable spot. Red dots appear when it runs, marking weak spots or knockdown points. The special effects of Eye of the Creator are incredible."

Thrilled, Li Yao surveyed the terrain and skillfully nocked his arrow. The moment the bow shimmered with a golden light, the arrow was let loose.

The arrow fired with deadly precision, finding its mark on the small crest atop a nearby raptor's head.

Hitting a weak spot added bonus damage, resulting in 12 points of damage. If the shot landed on a hard-fleshed part, the level 0 Li Yao would only deal a forced -1 damage effect on an elite raptor.

Another function of the Eye of the Creator was to provide monster data without the need for appraisal skills.

Given Li Yao's current health of just over a hundred points, he would nearly be instantly killed if attacked by a raptor.

Under free mode conditions, if the damage or force was sufficient, it could knock down or knock back monsters.

Monsters charging at you would increase their attack, but conversely, they were also more susceptible to being knocked down.

Facing the charge of an elite raptor from dozens of yards away, Li Yao had no intention of evading. He remained rooted where he stood, his bow drawn with an arrow ready.

With ten years of experience, Li Yao naturally knew to target the raptor's hind legs. As raptors relied on these hind legs for running, sufficiently damaging them would cause the raptor to fall. The Eye of the Creator was able to directly reveal these knockdown points, allowing Li Yao to down the raptor with just two arrows instead of the usual five or six.

While he pondered, Li Yao smoothly continued to draw his bow and shoot his arrows. Simply pulling back the bow counted as first level charge, and each arrow accurately struck the raptor's crown.

When the raptor elite finally managed to stand, it leapt high into the air and pounced towards Li Yao like an arrow leaving a bow. Its two front claws glistened faintly with blood.

The speed of the Leap Claw Attack was so quick that dodging, like before, would be impossible.

Li Yao's pupils contracted slightly, his heart pounding hard. As he let go of his fingers, a golden arrow burrowed into the raptor's eye with a soft sound, blood spewing wildly.

The raptor's health bar sharply decreased.

The intense pain caused the raptor to momentarily lose its sight, and it writhed around in agony. Its pre-attack move diverted slightly, allowing Li Yao to dodge the Leap Claw Attack in the nick of time with yet another side-step.

The precise grasp of the situation – the excellent archery, explosive power, and agility – made the difference between life and death. His current armor would hardly protect him from an elite monster's skill attack.

Typically, an elite's skill had a cooldown of about two minutes. By the time Li Yao managed to once again avoid the Leap Claw Attack using the same tactic, the raptor was near death.

After roughly another minute, the raptor elite's health finally depleted, and it collapsed onto the ground...
