33 Shadow Cat. Rooting out A Problem

Nina opened her eyes on Arlan's bed while Arlan came out of the capsule as they logged out because of an emergency.

"What's the matter?" Arlan got up and asked as he turned to Nina, but he was taken aback looking at her red and teary eyes.

"What happened?"

Nina took a deep breath while closing her eyes before looking at Arlan, her eyes filled with resolve and coldness. "Arlan, I have a request."

"Speak."

"Kill Hein Blaze, please," Nina said, her eyes icy and fists clenched. "You are the only one I know who can kill him, and I will do anything as long as you fulfill this request."

Arlan raised his eyebrows. "Anything?"

Nina's eyes didn't even change a tiny bit as she replied, "Anything."

"Eh, I don't want anything for this, so I'll do it for free," Arlan grinned. "But rather than killing him, I would like to use your father for my experiment. To fiddle with his source of astral power."

"He is not my father. You can do anything to him, kill, burn, or feed him to the dogs; I don't care. Just make him disappear, please."

"My mother and Lumian can't take it anymore." At last, her lips trembled when she mentioned her closest kin. "Lumina called me while crying how that bastard beat my mother when she refused to call me and had Lumian call me to return to the clan."

"I had accepted my fate before meeting you, but now that I see the chance, I am unwilling to live with shackles."

Arlan sat on a chair and leaned back before asking, "How do you want to conclude this? Do you want Blaze clan under your control or just cut off all ties with them while living somewhere here with your mother and Lumian?"

"I don't want to have anything to do with Blaze clan. I want to live away from them with my mother and Lumian after you make Hein disappear."

"Okay. Do you have anything on you that's your mother's or brother's?" Arlan asked.

Although confused, Nina got off the bed, unchained a thin pale gold necklace with a tiny deep blue gemstone from her neck, and gave it to Arlan.

"This is what my mother gave me. She had been wearing this before she gave it to me."

Arlan nodded. "This will work."

'Meily. Can you find the previous owner of this necklace and make a shadow link to that owner's shadow?'

Meily was in Neela's shadow, and Neela was sleeping in the gaming capsule in her room, so Meily quickly popped out from Arlan's shadow.

"On it, Master."

Neela, Tami, and Bayur had entered the game just half an hour since they returned from their short outing. The gaming capsules also arrived after they returned, so they readily entered the game and went through the early phase.

"I found the location, Master."

Nina was startled. "You can even do something like that?"

"Yep, but that's nothing," Arlan grinned. "Meily, create a shadow door to that location."

"Nya! Done," Meily said after creating a shadow door while something happened in a certain room of the Blaze Clan.

Nina's mother was sleeping in her room with medicine pasted on her injuries, and suddenly a shadow door manifested in the room as Arlan and Nina stepped out of it.

"Mother…" Nina's eyes trembled as she saw her mother's injured face and burn marks on her limbs, neck, and many other parts of her body that were pasted with medicines and gauze.

"N-Nina?" Malisa weakly spoke as she opened her eyes.

Nina quickly closed to her mother while suppressing her sobbing.

Seeing her daughter's face, Malisa's eyes showed relief, but they quickly filled up with worry as she said, "Nina, run away. Hein's condition is getting worse. He is more violent than ever and wi-will bring the clan to downfall."

"Condition?" Arlan repeated in doubt. "You make it sound like he is sick."

"Mum, he is Arlan. My…friend," Nina said with a short pause.

She had called Arankar her life partner to Renold and Hein but didn't wish to lie to her mother.

Arlan smiled at Malisa and said, "Hi, I am justice man. Here to solve your daughter's and your trouble."

"Mother, he can take us away from here and punish Hein Blaze."

Malisa gave a kind smile and caressed Nina's cheeks. "Live your life in your way. I don't want you to become like me. Nina, and this young man, you two should leave…

"Wait, how did you two come here?"

Malisa was stunned as she realized the situation. They were in her room. 'I am not dreaming, am I?'

"More importantly, can you elaborate on that so-called condition?" Arlan asked.

"That… Hein was violent from the start and only cared about his sons and clan, but after he modified the Astral Blazing Acacia some years ago to improvise it, he started turning more violent and self-centered. He was about to kill me today since I refused his demand to call Nina back because he forcefully wants to send Nina to Renold."

"I see," Arlan nodded as he rubbed his chin and called Meily.

'Meily, capture the strongest aura in my proximity and send him to your shadow space before dropping him in this room. Do it silently but quickly.'

*knock knock*

Arlan walked towards the door to open it, and before Nina could say something, he told her, "Lumian is outside. I recognize his soul presence since I saw him in the game."

After Arlan opened the door, he smiled at Lumian, who had a messy face because of too much crying.

"Come in, kid."

*thud…*

Suddenly, a black shadow fell from a horizontal shadow portal with only his face visible.

"Father?" Lumian's eyes caught his father's face, and he was shocked to see him like that.

"Come inside and say the last words to your father."

Nina was surprised at how quickly Arlan finished the matter, but Malisa was shocked. She couldn't see if it was Hein, but based on Lumina's voice and what Arlan said, she readily guessed what just fell on the floor.

Hein's mouth was shadow bound, and so was his whole body. The only thing he could do was move his neck, look at others, and hear voices.
