27 Guild Battle

As the leader and vice leader of Overlord's Throne guild, Nina and Arlan received official notification about the bet in the Guild Battle from UmbraFall guild.

And Luna also privately messaged Arlan.

[ Luna: Put that parchment as the bet, and we'll accept the challenge. ]

[ Arlan: Then you should also know what I want.]

[ Luna: of course. I've already put the compass as our betting item. ]

On the other hand, Kengi arrived outside, saw Arlan and Nina, and approached them.

"Are you the ones from Overlord's Throne who challenged us? Heh, not that impressive," Kengi asked as she crossed her arms over her undeveloped chest. She was also 5'1 in height, making her look younger than her age.

However, her level was 199, and she saw that Arlan's level was 100 while Nina's was 138.

But she could only see their levels and not their stats.

'Sister Luna said he is more powerful than her and even Dad… How? He looks young,' Kengi was internally surprised and confused regarding Arlan.

"Kengi Blackwood. A lass at 7th rank in Young Stars List," Nina said plainly.

"Nina Blaze. A washed-off fake genius, haha." Kengi chuckled and said, "So you are behind Overlord's Throne? Who gave you the guts to go against our Blackwood clan?"

Saying that Kengi turned to Arlan and confidently grinned. "I don't know who you are, but you will regret taking that parchment from us."

Arlan amusedly smiled and started walking towards Kengi since she had left the mansion yard.

'Why is he approaching me?' Kengi was startled but then internally snorted. 'Humph, whatever. It's not like he will attack me in the city.'

The men and women of the Blackwood Clan in the mansion yard quickly rushed out as they glared at Arlan. Their expressions told that if he tried anything funny with their young miss, they would pounce on him.

However, Arlan continued with an unbothered smiley expression.

Arriving before her, Arlan looked down to see Kengi looking up at him, her expression still calm and confident, with her arms crossed.

Alas, his following words caused Kengi's face to turn livid as he treated her in a way she hated the most.

"Who are you, child?" Arlan asked with a smile as he patted her head. "Want a chocolate?"

"Or are you lost?"

"Y-You!"

"Don't cry. I'll find your parents soon. Hey, do you know about this little girl?" Arlan called out to the bunch of UmbraFall members. "I think she is lost."

*Crackle!*

Kengi's eyes flickered with black lightning as she flung away Arlan's hand from her head while a black lighting spear conjured behind her and shot towards Arlan.

But a white mist instantly appeared around Arlan and devoured the black lightning spear.

'Black lightning? Is it a mix of darkness and lightning element?' Arlan raised his eyebrows.

"Humph, just wait for the guild battle to start," Kengi said with a cold snort before turning around and returning to the mansion.

[World Announcement! The Guild Battle between Overlord's Throne and UmbraFall will start in an hour! The battlefield will be Mist Bloom Forest!]

[World Announcement! Mist Bloom Forest will be locked until the Guild Battle is over! Unrelated players will be kicked out once the Guild Battle starts!]

"Damn, so Guild Battles are like this?! Looks so much fun!"

"Hehe, I created a guild and have seventeen members. Maybe I will challenge a guild close to my guild's strength."

"Where are the pro players of other games? Most of the leaderboards are filled with unknown people."

"I also don't see any familiar Esport guilds in top rankings."

"It's batshit crazy how we have people over level 100 already."

"I saw one over level 200… but he was an old guy, and he flew away. What the fuck."

The world chat channels were rowdy, with players chattings as the guild battle made a buzz.

"Although we challenged them for the Guild Battle, the chances of winning depend on you and how serious they take us," Nina said with narrowed eyes as they walked away from UmbraFall guild's manor.

"I made sure to suppress my soul presence the entire time," Arlan faintly smiled. "Who would have thought I would recovery my soul force like this, haha."

"Then there's no way that Luna would disturb Grand elders for this battle," Nina said with a jolly laugh. "Slaughter them in the battle, and players will automatically flood our guild."

"It will also be a good exercise for me, so I hope they bring me some challenge and give me a hard time," Arlan grinned. "Easily winning is boring, after all."

Arlan arrived at the Mist Bloom Forest with Nina.

Captain Fred and the other three also arrived, even though they didn't need to.

"Hello, guild master, Nice to finally meet you."

An unfamiliar player arrived: a young man with short blue hair and pale light brown eyes, seemingly looking in his late teens.

"BlueMango," Arlan said in surprise. "Are you sure you want to join this battle?"

"It's fine," BlueMango grinned. "I won't lose anything even if I die in the battle. More importantly, I want to see you battle."

"Are you blind?" Arlan suddenly asked.

BlueMango's eyes shone in surprise. "How did you know?! Haha, yessir, you are right. I am blind in real life, but I can see in the game, and I saw you flying on your bone wings, and it was so cool; that's why I joined your guild."

Captain F laughed and patted BlueMango's shoulder. "Since you are here, then enjoy! You might eventually get your eyes back in real life by playing this game."

"Eh? Really?" BlueMango was startled at the statement and turned to Arlan. "Is that true?"

"If he is saying that, it's true," Arlan said with a smile.

"Damn! I've heard about magical things regarding this game, but I couldn't believe it then! I am excited, alright!"

[ Arlan: Admit this kid to the Magic Star Academy opening tomorrow. He got potential and has two affinities, Water and Earth. ]

[ Nina: The slots are limited, but I'll try. ]

"By the way, what do we get for winning the guild battle, and what do we lose upon losing?" Rance asked as he read the Guild Battle rules and found out that people who died in Guild Battle wouldn't drop any loot or get penalized.

"We'll get the thing we need most right now," Lisa said with a smile. "Contribution points. Half of the enemy guild's contribution points."

"Wait, are you planning to win this?" BlueMango was shocked. He just joined because he wanted to see the battle.

After getting the Guild Battle notification, the remaining players had already left, so Overlord's Throne only had present people as members.

"Of course-" Nado said with a nod before wryly smiling as he glanced at Arlan, "-although our participant doesn't really matter that much because winning is up to our guild leader."

"I'll try," Arlan shrugged before turning to the forest. "We still have an hour, and this area has many things. Scatter and collect any plants, flowers, or alchemy usable material you encounter as long as they are uncommon-grade and above."

Nina quickly added, "And directly put those items in Guild Storage because if you get killed by any monster while carrying materials, it will be effort wasted."

Everyone scattered in pairs, but due to their party being in odd numbers, BlueMago joined Captain Fred and Rance.

Arlan and Nina flew deeper while others slowly moved to collect everything they encountered.

[Time until Guild Battle: 52 min.]
