Alpheon

Arlan had many questions but knew he wouldn't get answers immediately.

After hearing a bunch of notifications upon starting Eidos Sync, a strange being appeared in his soul sea.

It was a slightly transparent blue wisp with two big eyes and a mouth.

"So, you are THE GrimCore?" Arlan asked in his soul avatar form, as this was his soul sea.

"Hehe, yes. I like this name that the natives of this world gave me. But I would prefer it if you called me Alpheon."

"I wanted to see you, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon," Arlan said, his curiosity increasing.

"I've been observing you because of your unique soul, and since you started Eidos Sync, I thought I might as well visit you," Alpheon said. Its voice was slightly childish, resembling a young boy.

Afterward, Alpheon suddenly glowed, and a screen appeared that showed destruction everywhere on a gigantic planet. The destruction was not natural but started by powerful beings that resembled humans and could use magic and other powers.

They only resembled humans and were not humans because they had various types of black horns on their heads with unique patterns of different colors.

"The people who are destroying the world come from a powerful race known as Leins. They destroyed that planet to obtain me since I was integrating with that planet even though I was just born," Alpheon said, pouting with anger.

Arlan had questions, but he didn't interrupt Alpheon.

"So, I escaped from that planet and arrived far away in this desolate corner of the universe in fear. But I am afraid Leins will come here in search of me, so I planned to make the natives of this world more powerful by using my powers."

"Couldn't you could fight back or defend yourself if you are powerful enough to affect reality?" Arlan asked in doubt.

Alpheon revealed a disappointed expression in its big eyes and sighed.

"Apparently, I am a special existence. I have powers but can't use them willy-nilly, and most importantly, I can't use them for myself. So I can't defend myself or attack someone personally. However, I can run, I mean teleport away, so that's a plus."

"But, I almost got caught at that time because there's someone very scary in Leins. That person would've trapped me if I hadn't escaped in time."

The wisp trembled in fear upon remembering its past encounter.

"Hmm, unexpected. So, did you look at my memories?" Arlan asked.

"I did," Alpheon said with a grin. "That's why I appeared like this before you and talked. I've never done that to anyone before. I only showed them the scene of destruction in slightly more detail and told them via their devices that this world will be targeted soon, so they must prepare and had them make this game with my help."

"If you saw my memories, tell me how strong I was at my peak compared to those Leins?" Arlan asked with narrowed eyes.

"Eh… You were certainly very strong compared to many Leins at your peak but still very weak compared to top powerhouses of Leins."

'Tsk, although I know there are beings stronger than me, if those Leins arrived here anytime soon, won't they destroy this world? I'll be helpless against them with my current strength and won't be able to use that Reincarnation spell again.'

"Do you have any idea how long it will take for Leins to arrive here?"

"No idea. But I have tried my best to go as far as possible and obscured this planet, so I feel like I have enough time to make this world stronger," Alpheon said with a prideful grin.

"I see. Well then, I am sure you can heal my soul to its peak, right?" Arlan asked with a smile. "If I get strong enough, I'll help you fight against the Leins. They seem interesting, so I want to experiment with them and learn their power."

Alpheon started flying around Arlan. "Do you think it was so easy to create this game? I had to find so many power sources of different dimensions and realms to make it."

"So, I don't have enough power to recover you to your peak, and most of my focus is on GrimWorld. But the game I created can allow you to surpass your peak and grant you enough power to fight off the disaster, those evil Leins.

"Sadly, people have to progress on their own and gradually acquire power," Alpheon said, its face showing dismay. "If only I could give powers to anyone I want and make them strong, I wouldn't have to go through so much trouble..."

"Alright, I understand. So, how much can you recover my power?"

"I'll recover it as much as I can after healing your deep soul wounds, so you can recover your power naturally at a faster rate."

"Phew, alright. I am grateful for that."

"Humu," Alpheon pridefully smiled and nodded. "Although if you used that spell correctly, and not when that person attacked your soul, it wouldn't have lost so much power and got such deep injuries."

Arlan rolled his eyes. "I was not prepared since it was my first use."

"Hehe, I know. Now, go and slumber. I'll recover your soul."

"Okay."
