The Multiverse
A young man that looked to be around 17 could be seen running with all of his might in an empty hallway. looking up to look at the classroom number he stopped right in front of an open door struggling to control his breath.
going in he looks in the direction of the blackboard seeing that no one is there he let out a relieved sigh and hastily walked to his seat. his seat was the seat just right next to the seat next to the windows. still a little short of breath, he shakily pulled his chair and set his bag right behind it as he sat on it.
"Wow, you're not late this time? What a good boy you are, Rein." Said a girl with long brown hair with a teasing smile on her face.
"Shut up, Liza. Why are you here this early anyway? did something happen?" The young man, now known as Rein said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
"Yeah, about that. you know, I was reading the manga you recommended yesterday just before bedtime and planned to read a few chapters. But it was so good that it was already 6 am when I realized. so I just decided to come to school early."
"Is that so, Well, did you do the homework the math teacher assigned to us yesterday?"
"There was an assignment!?" said Liza as she dramatically turned to look at Rein looking shocked.
"Oh boy, guess you're in trouble. I won't help you with that, good luck," said Rein snorting at his friend's fate.
"You traitor! Come on, aren't we best buds? can't you at least help a buddy out with her assignment?" said Liza as she dramatically shakes Rein's shoulder.
"Alright, kids, pipe down. it's homeroom time."
said a tall man wearing a teacher's uniform.
seeing that the teacher is there, the students immediately stopped talking and waits for the teacher to continue.
"Alright, now that you're all quiet. I'll take the attendance. Just say present when your name is called" the teacher said in a serious tone.

----------- Lunch Time, Rein's POV
Man, it's finally lunchtime, my brain hurts because of my lack of sleep I couldn't even focus on the lecture.
"Yo, Rein. I'm going to the rooftop, you coming with me?" asked Liza as she taps me on the back
"Yeah, did you bring food with you today?" I asked as I was reaching for my lunch box inside my bag.
"Yup, I had the time to bring it with me this time." Liza answers while walking outside the classroom.
Opening the door of the rooftop, a gentle breeze could be felt as we walked outside, reaching the rooftop.

"What the fuck?" a surprised voice left my mouth as I look at the screen? in front of me.

A white light filled my vision as I lost my consciousness.

[Welcome to the Waiting Space, Agent]
A hologram welcomed me as I found myself in a white space that looks as if it is endless.
"Man, what the hell is this? This is too ridiculous to be a joke or maybe I'm just dreaming?"
[The Agent is not dreaming. Welcome to the Waiting Space, A place made by the Multiverse for the agent to rest and relax]
"The Multiverse? what's this? a world-hopping novel? also, chosen by the Multiverse?"
[Yes, You have been chosen as an Agent by the Multiverse]
"What does that even mean? Do I have to go to other worlds? What does an agent even do?"
[You will be sent to other Worlds by the will of the Multiverse. The agent has to become powerful enough to protect the Worlds that are in danger]
"Why would other Worlds be in danger? Don't they have their protagonist that will protect them?"
[The Multiversal Worlds are currently in danger as Gods, More particularly, the Evil Gods, are trying to take over it for their own gains]
"What do I gain from this? Will you give me skills like the ones in those novels I read?"
[The Agent would be able to learn skills from the World they visit and use them to protect the World from the Evil Gods]
"I see, maybe life wouldn't be that boring anymore. So, what do I do for now?"
[The Agent will be sent to a tutorial world to get the basic skills needed to save a World. Would you like to go to the Tutorial World now?]
"No, not yet. bring me back to the rooftop"

I look around and see the familiar scenery of the rooftop.
'So, It really wasn't a dream, huh.'
I walk to the railings and sat down on the wall beside it and began unpacking my lunch.
"It's lunchtime already but the rooftop is as empty as always huh." Says Liza as she sat down beside me and began unpacking her lunch.
"Hmph, Enough about that just eat." I say as I immediately stuff my face with my lunch.
After finishing lunch there was still some time until lunch break was over so I decided to read some novels on my phone while Liza decided to take a quick nap.
"Hey, come out" I silently mumbled
[Yes, Agent?]
"Nothing, just making sure" saying that, I stood up and woke up Liza.
"Hey, wake up." I whispered.
"Hmm...? is lunch break over?" Liza groggily mumbled while standing up.
"Yeah, it's almost over. Let's go." I answered her while holding her wrist and guiding her down the stairs.
----------- On the way home, Rein's POV
"Man, you're really annoying. Why do I have to carry you home?" I ask the girl I was piggybacking.
"I'm really sleepy you know... I didn't have much sleep after all."
"If you can't pull an all-nighter then don't do it."
I say as I climb up the stairs of our apartment.
"Hey, we're in front of your room get down already." I open the door and set her down at the entrance.
"Aunt Leah, I'm gonna leave Liza here, okay?" leaving those words I closed the door of their apartment and opened mine.
"Mom, I'm home."
"Welcome home, Rein. how was school?" a voice coming from the kitchen said.
"Same as always. I'm going to my room now okay?"
I enter my room and sat down on my bed after putting my bag down near the door.
"Alright, Let's start."
