505 Jane At The Smith's Mansion

Jane didn't wait long in the sitting room before the owner of the house came to join her.

Mrs Smith sat on the couch opposite Jane. After the exchange of pleasantries, Mrs Smith turned to face one of her maids.

"Get us some tea," Mrs Smith ordered. She brought back her attention to the lady in front of her.

They began talking about trivia things. There was a little awkwardness as they talked and this was a result of their last meeting.

After about thirty minutes of Jane's presence there, Jane changed the topic of their discussion.

"Auntie, have you been in contact with Jack recently?" Jane asked. Her expression was neutral making it impossible for anyone to guess what on Earth was running through her mind.

"No. After the last incident that I made them withdraw their charges against you I haven't been able to set my eyes on him," Mrs Smith said. Apart from her fallen expression, there was sadness in her voice as she talked.
