22 Ch. 21. Tears and smiles

Liliana's pov :

Fiona was sobbing so hard, she was badly hurt by that devil's impulsive action. I still couldn't understand why she stopped me from saying or doing anything.

I immediately called my driver to pick us up because I won't let everyone see her tears, she is my best friend.

She was not alone, now. I was with her, in the morning also I couldn't talk to her about that devil, and when I got time, she asked me to talk to Jason about tomorrow's hang out.

How excited she was about Jason and me!

When we entered the cafeteria, Fee noticed Jason and Emma standing so close to each other. I was dumbstruck to see Jason holding her face so close to him.

I was about to break down, my heart started aching seeing them so close, and I just turned my face to the opposite side to hide my shining teary eyes but Fee pushed me to face Jason and Emma.

We were standing quite far, so he couldn't see us. And when he threw her face like trash, Fee told me that we should never see half scenes, and if we are watching something which we don't like, we should stand there until the end to understand everything clearly, it's how we can save ourselves from creating misunderstandings.

I was so delighted to see how he treated Emma, maybe I was acting like a bitch but I couldn't resist the smile which appeared on my face when I saw her outraged face.

Fee and I laughed and after enjoying the full drama, we marched to the boys.

And then, rare is the history. George is such a jerk, he didn't even look at her after thrusting her to the ground. I wanted to punch on his face but at the same time, Fee needed me.

So, I chose to stand by her rather than beating that asshole.

"Fee, please, stop crying! I'll kill him soon…" I stroked her hands.

"No...you...won't…" she spoke between her sobs, "I...don't...want...you to...come between us," she took a deep breath after finishing her words.

I was pissed off, "Fee, are you mad? He tried to approach you for a one-night stand, and then, he kept messing with you. At last, he pushed you and embarrassed you in front of everyone."

I couldn't control myself, "I didn't say anything because you halted me from doing so. I heard you because I thought you wouldn't like me coming between when you can handle this by yourself but you got hurt," I lowered my voice.

Fee looked at me with teary eyes, "has someone told you that you are so wild?" She finally smiled while controlling her sobs.

I wiped her tears with my fingers, "you look so pretty when you smile but you look so spooky when you cry, has someone told you this or not?" I grinned, too.

She hugged me so tightly, and I felt so good. Someone was hugging me for the first time, no one hugged me before, maybe I missed so many things in my life because I had no friends.

But I was smiling from my heart. Finally, I got one friend who is so kind and loyal.

Since I met her, so many things have happened in my life for the very first time. I'm grateful for her sincerity and love for me, she takes care of me like a mother takes care of her child.

"You know, it's my first hug," I mumbled while hugging her with closed eyes.

"What the fuck! Why didn't you tell me before? I would have given this opportunity to Jason," she pulled me out from the hug and winked.

"Girl, you were fucking crying just some seconds ago, and now, you are teasing me, and I won't be friends with Jason. That asshole hurt you, and you still supposed me to be with him, you are unbelievable," I just rolled my eyes, "ugh."

Fee fluttered her eyes, "can you just forget what happened with me? It hurts me when you mention what George did with me…," she paused, "um, what if George wouldn't be Jason's friend? Would you like Jason the way you liked him before?"

Her questions make my head swirl sometimes because this girl thinks too far and she is always right, "yes," I uttered after thinking for a minute.

"Then, why are you giving so much importance to George? He and I don't matter in your relationship with Jason, you should give everything proper space. Jason is not wrong, what's his fault if his friend is an asshole?"

"But you matter to me a lot, Fee. I can't ignore what his friend did with you…oh, sorry! I won't mention it again but uh..."

"I know, you are confused but you have to ignore this. You saw that even when his friend left, he stood there with me, he didn't go to console his friend, everyone was there for me," and tears rolled down her cheeks.

Her face and ears got so red due to her crying, her eyes were also red. I couldn't see her like that, "please, stop crying! I will do as you say, okay?" I wiped her face.

"It's so overwhelming for me to see everyone standing there for me. Yeah, I felt embarrassed, too but somewhere it was also my mistake to be stubborn with him when he was enraged," she pressed her lips.

I knew that Fee was wrong at that time but when I saw her lying on the floor, every other thought evaporated from my mind, and I just wanted to kill that bastard.

"We will discuss it later, let's go home, now! I've already called the driver," I patted her shoulders.

She grinned, "you are so caring, Lia. I love you, bitch!"

Friendship means a lot of swearing in every situation, even if you are outraged or you are happy.

We chuckled, "I love you, too, my cute bitch!" I pulled her arm into a hug and started walking like a kid.

The driver was astonished to see us because I've never called him to pick me up before, I always used the bus and after school, I go to my job, not to home.

I texted Mrs. Fennimore that I won't be able to come today, we sat in the car, and my phone rang.

The name over my display made me smile.

"Hey, Lia! Are you alright, dear? You never take leave from work, what has happened to you?" Mrs. Fennimore called me and she was worried about me.

"Hello, Mrs. Fennimore! I love you a lot, muah! My friend needs me, today. I'm all good and fit, what will happen to me? I eat daily and do exercises daily," I giggled.

"Thank God! You are okay, I was so anxious when I read your text. Take good care of your friend, sweetheart!" She sounded relieved.

"Sure! Bye, Mrs. Fennimore!"

"Bye, dear!" And she disconnected the call.

Fee didn't ask me who Mrs. Fennimore was but I saw the curiosity in her eyes, so I told her that she is the owner of the restaurant where I work.

She wasn't startled to hear that the daughter of a billionaire was working at a restaurant, that's why I always feel that she understands me better than anybody else.

And a message popped up on my phone. I heard the notification but just ignored it because my best friend needs me more.
