162 Sunshine In His Dark Youth.

Ford also remembered that day. The girl shrugged her shoulders and turned around with tears, which shone under the dim yellow door lamp.

She seemed to have noticed his gaze and wiped away her tears shyly. Her movements were clumsy yet exceptionally adorable.

The youth's usually aloof expression changed for a moment.

"So, it was you?" Julia asked the same question again, which was obviously important to her.

"Why did you do that?" The answer was already clear. She only wanted to hear it from him. Why had he been keeping her album?

Ford looked at her slightly wooden expression and curled his lips, "What do you think?"

In an instant, everything changed. She began to question herself. The look in her eyes became complicated, and her head ached from all the mysteries.

"Give me more time, okay?" The man's voice was magnetic, hoarse, and bewitching.

He stared at the girl in front of him. The morning light outside the window dyed the room with a warm glow.

It was like that many years ago, when the little girl in a washed—out white shirt was bathed in the same morning light. She hesitated for a long time before mustering her courage, reaching out her tender and fair hand and grabbing a corner of his shirt, "Hi...."

Ford tilted his head to take a look. The girl's palm was thin. Her fingers were as slender as shallots. Her fingernails were neat and had pink crescents.

So cute!

"Ah!" The girl panicked. What was she doing? She stopped him like a fool, but didn't say a word. Closing her eyes, she braced herself, "Do you have a girlfriend?"

Ford pursed his lips and deliberately paused before answering, "No."

"Yes!" Julia jumped a little with joy, but then she regained her composure, "That's good."

He looked at her lively expression and asked with a smile in his eyes, "Hmm, does it's sound good?"

"Yes, it's good." The girl smiled, revealing two temples. Her thick eyelashes trembled under the morning light, very beautiful.

He had never told anyone that that smile was the sunshine in his dark youth.

....

Julia was frightened and sighed, "Is your brain broken?"

Why did he need more time?

The only thing she was worrying about right now was whether her ex—husband still had the ability to earn money. Would he still be able to pay her alimony?

"Although you are my ex—husband and we are still tied together by money, I hope that today's episode will never happen again!"

"It will be highly inappropriate for you to disturb me and my future boyfriend in the morning."

"We are strangers right now. Don't stand in my way of getting laid!"

Tied together by money? Future boyfriend? Strangers?

Every word hit Ford in the face. His handsome face wrinkled.

When Julia thought of that dream, she was not happy that she had been disturbed too early.

She didn't warn him last night because he was running a fever. Now was the right time.

Moreover, it was time to think of her so-called sister. Don't ask her for missing limbs.

She was not an organ supplier. She still needed them to survive.

Fortunately, Julia would pay back those who had helped her. Moreover, Ford had indeed helped her retrieve the suitcase.

But she was uncomfortable about owing him a favor. Therefore, she was being polite.

"What do you want?" She glared at him.

Ford felt a pain in his brain. This girl in front of him wasn't stupid, but she didn't understand romance.

In the end, he blamed himself for being obsessed with formalities, wishing to start over and teach her how to be a woman as her husband again.

But there was no but.... Right now, he could only endure it. Ford sized her up with a subtle gaze.

"What are you looking at?" Julia was shy and covered her body with a threatening expression.

Unexpectedly, Ford let out a mocking laugh, "This is your problem."

Julia was puzzled and angry. What was he laughing at?

His indirect answer was even more annoying, as if he was saying, 'What to look at?'

Sigh! Even though her boobs weren't enormous, she still got a curvy figure. If she hadn't been a beneficiary, she would have given this man a hard time.

"If I know, why would I ask you?" Julia glared at him.

He was good at shifting the focus.

It looked like compulsory education did not teach him well, and he didn't know about being generous.

"No need to rush," Ford said with a faint smile, "You have plenty of time to figure it out."

"What are you talking about?" Julia was impatient, itching to pinch his arm, "Why?"

Ford was actually ready to leave. He turned around and Julia landed on nothing. Tripped by her own trousers, she nearly fell.

Then, under Ford's indifferent gaze, she threw herself into his embrace.

Silence.

Time seemed to have paused.

What a coincidence.

She had been avoiding Ford and trying to prove that they were just neighbors. But now, all her efforts were ruined.

"Boss, Yana is...." Two men at the door suddenly paused.

Julia and Ford looked at each other awkwardly for a few seconds and took a step back.

"We were not...." Julia failed to finish her sentence.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry...." Marvin reacted first and ran away closing the door.

The door was shut with a "bang", and Julia was unhappy and embarrassed. "What were their looks just now?"

She looked at Ford and said in horror, "Were they thinking that we ... we...?"

Looking at Julia's constantly changing expressions, Ford smiled.

He said, "What else could it be?"

She was unable to reply.

This damn Marvin.

The longest distance in the world was not between life and death, but was refusing to listen to explanations when the person was right in front of you.
