##Chapter 12 Unable to Resist

"Rest assured. Dad is bad-tempered, and mom is going through menopause. I won't tell them if I get married. That's asking for trouble."

Rachel then sat beside Ansel, staring at him silently. It looked like she was admiring a masterpiece. A nifty girl turned into silence in an instant. That was quite lovely.

"Yup, Rachel. If anything happens to Sharon after they know about it, you know what I'll do."

Nathan's tone sounded plain, but there was a threat in his words. Sharon thought about their family. Maybe Nathan and Rachel were just unfavoured by their parents like her. And that could be the reason why she didn't have to meet their parents.

"You are quite good-looking. My brother doesn't really like girls staying by his side, and now, look at him."

"You too. Nathan is lucky to have you as his sister."

Sharon pushed a plate of delicacy in front of Rachel. She could see that Rachel was straightforward and decided to talk to her. They were families, after all.

"Thanks. Actually, we are not that close. Not as close as you are. You are a couple now."

When Rachel said it, she turned to look at Ansel with a smile, "Am I right?"

Ansel coughed and said, "How do I know about it?"

"How come you don't know? Will you be close to my brother or me in the future?"

Rachel looked at Ansel with a sly smile. Ansel seemed overwhelmed. He forced a smile and said, "Maybe you two should get close to each other. You have blood relation."

Sharon and Nathan exchanged a sly look. Obviously, Rachel adored Ansel. She said to him straightforward, but he responded in a different way.

"Yep, Nathan and I have a blood relation. What about you and me?"

Sharon was kind of shocked by Rachel. A young lady wooed her love in such a frank manner. Sharon herself came from a respectable family. She thought she was frank enough, but Rachel surprised her.

And Rachel was the younger sister of Nathan.

Would he be that straightforward?

"You want something from me?"

Sharon looked at Nathan with surprise as if he was the one who was wooing his love. Of course, he noticed it.

"Okay, that's enough. Start eating."

Nathan's words quietened Rachel. It was a lively meal, and the liveliness dispelled the gloom in Sharon's heart momentarily. She smiled sincerely.

"I'm so tired today. I walked all day."

"All day? What did you do?"

"Just hanging around. I'm trying to find some clues."

Sharon massaged her legs, looked tired on her face.

"We're home. Rest yourself tonight. Don't do that by yourself. I'll be your driver tomorrow."

They walked into the villa.

Sharon thought, "What is going on here? What happened during dinner time?"

She checked the layout in the living room and then looked at Nathan.

"What happened? Where's the sofa?"

The sofa was her "bed." However, no more sofa, it was replaced by a classic mahogany tea table and several garden stools. How could she sleep on the tea table?

Nathan chuckled. He told Glenn to replace the sofa with something that couldn't be lain on. And Glenn did a great job.

"Maybe the owner sold it out? I don't know. This one looks good. He has good taste."

Nathan looked like an onlooker and checked the new layout.

"I thought you said the owner was your friend? He said nothing to you?"

Sharon felt something was wrong, but what Nathan said was reasonable.

"He said something... today at the company. I just forgot it. It's his house anyway."

Sharon sighed hopelessly, "Then, where should I sleep tonight? He replaced the sofa with a tea table. He's quite interesting." Sharon showed a dejected appearance. She kicked the new stool to release her emotion. However, she used no strength in case she needed to pay for it.

"All right. You've been tired all day long. Go to have a bath. I'll bring you pillow upstairs,"

Nathan said calmly and then turned around. He didn't want her to see the happiness on his face.

Sharon looked around and found no place to sleep. She walked to the bathroom upstairs with a dejected appearance.

Seeing she gave in, Nathan laughed out.

Nathan looked around and stopped laughing. He walked upstairs in dead earnest.

Sharon bathed and was still unhappy about what happened. She thought, "Nathan is weird, and so is his friend. I have to find a place to live. I'm kind of in a tight spot here. How to sleep tonight is a serious question."

"Mrs. Harris, are you done?"

Nathan sat there, watching TV.

Sharon's heart jolted when hearing what he said. Sharon wondered, "What's going on with me? I have decided to talk to him already."

She always slept alone, and suddenly, there was a man on her bed. No one could keep a peaceful mind.

Sharon was stunned there. She didn't know how to react.

Nathan couldn't imagine the girl in front of him had something to do with those nasty things. It was clear that she was framed.

"You... are still awake."

It was embarrassing. She had no idea what she said.

"How can I fall asleep without you... falling asleep first? I'm a decent man."

"Decent? How dare you?

You want to sleep with a girl you just met. And you are not ashamed at all. You call it decent, huh?" she wondered.

"Please. After you," Sharon said.

She wore a smile on her face and knew it clearly. They were married. Even if something happened, it was lawful.

Also, she was unable to resist him.

Some sweet talk might be helpful.

"No, it should be me after you. Or maybe, together? Come here. I'll turn the light off."
