Chapter 5

1 years later

"Uriah eat slowly!" I said Uriah looked at me and frowned "but mamaa you said since it's my birthday I can eat till my Tummy's full?" He said I looked down at the food I sighed "I know but if you don't calm down you'll choke and you'll leave mommy all alone in this world." I said Uriah looked down he sighed then looked back up "fine mommy but then after can I go outside?" I looked at his face he had a fever previously I sighed as i couldn't see any sign of sickness.

"Yeah sure honey just.... if you see any sign of rain run home immediately and if you see stranger-" I said I got cut off by Uriah quickly filled in the blanks "I know mommy don't talk with strangers." He said I looked at him and smiled I quickly patted his head "he kinda reminds me of a younger version of me" Uriah ran out of the house smiling I looked at a nearby mirror briefly I thought I saw something reaching out I quickly rubbed my eyes and saw that it was nothing.

I looked down at the table Uriah had barely touched his food like last time the food had been a green giant slug like thing the taste wasn't much better then the look I grabbed the plate and threw it out I looked at my hand there had been soars from previous fights on it.

Occasionally bandits had found their way to my home so I had to deal with them one thing I learned is that magic exist and some people can use it.

I looked at the door it had passed a hour and still no return from Uriah not even a small letter he usually sends that is delivered by one of his pet mouses he carries I looked over at a small knife I began to touch it then "momma!" I jumped I turned around it had been Uriah with a injured soldier and a few non injured I looked at them shocked "Uriah who are these people?" I said he looked at me a bit worried.

"Mommy you have to help them I found them trying to take their friend to the nearest village but it's far from here." Uriah said I looked at his face he had looked like he was about to cry then I noticed the bruises around his face, arms and legs "w-what happened to you?!" I said grabbing his face and examining his bruises "why do you have bruises everywhere?!" He looked at me a bit embarrassed "I fell down a few times while trying to find my way home." He said.

I looked at him "and this is why you don't go far you'll lose your way." Uriah rolled his eyes he looked at the injured man "mommy can you please help him he may die?!" I rolled my eyes back "fine!" I looked over at my bed "he could rest on my bed I'll help him." I said the men nodded they tossed their friend on the bed he whimpered in pain I walked closer to him I examined the wound I covered my hand on it a bright light appeared blood began to spurt out less and less until he was fully healed.

I sighed "alright since he's healed all he'll need is a good rest." I said the soldiers smiled "thank you my lady but may I ask of you why are you living in a cave and not in a town I would assume life for your son is pretty boring?" He said I looked down at my hands the light began to fade I sighed still looking down "I may be human but my son isn't..." everyone looked at me a bit grossed but still fascinated.

A taller soldier that had been covered in a full suit of armor walked fourth "If you don't mind me asking what creature have you jumped the sack with?" He said I looked at my hand a scar he had noticed the small markings and scars I quickly hid it I looked at him "one of the less civilized dragons the none.... serpent ones." I said everyone looked at me in pity "miss Emily you are one of the lucky ones to survive such a horrific event."

I nodded at them smiling I began to think "the dragon told me that they didn't have time to make Uriah's body so that had to kill him and impregnate me again but unlike last time which he was a serpent dragon this time he's more like a western dragon Michael told me that my new body died giving birth to him cause of how much blood I lost I was only came back seconds later because of their magic and other stuff" I looked at the man I sighed "what's dangerous about having a child like him?" I said he looked at me I couldn't tell what his expression was but I knew he was upset "You probably choose to ignore your sons Heritage but you can't forever the dangerous part about having them is that from birth some of their body parts are covered a bit in scales it's more common around the waist area but basically your son could have literally cut you up from the inside do to the scales being as sharp and strong as diamonds or even strong or sharp more."

I nodded the man looked at me examining my body "it's a surprise the dragon didn't kill you after it's done what it wanted dragons are usually known for their malice." He said I nodded he looked at Uriah who had been playing with a few of his mouses "if you want I could slay him?" I looked at him shocked everyone looked at him the way I did "what the hell Alex!" One of the knights said "we don't harm children!" He said Emily looked at the man angered the knight sighed "he's not a child when he awakens which will most likely will be soon he'll be like any other dragon a monster." He said Emily got up she immediately smacked the knight as hard as she could but it only brought her pain "I would never hurt my son so screw you!"

Emily said she grabbed her hand and, immediately silently screamed in pain. Someone tapped her leg she flinched a bit but looked behind her to see who it was it had been Uriah he had a face of uncomfortableness "mommy I'm hungry?" Her son said Emily looked at him nodded she walked over to the pre medieval looking kitchen and started cooking. Emily looked behind herself and back at her son "Uriah why don't you take a bath the food will be done by the time you finish?" Emily said he looked at Emily frowning "mommy you know I can't reach it right and my hands hurt because of how much the bucket weighs especially filled with water."

He looked at Emily frowning Emily sighed she looked at the stuff she was going to use to cook they hadn't been used yet so she had time she quickly walked over to Uriah "alright fine."
