Miranda

Somewhere in the milky way galaxy, amidst the stars and wonders of the universe, there existed a parallel dimension. A small planet surrounded by water. Here, the supernatural ruled the natural, man and gods communicated, deities were born amongst men and demons lurked in the shadows. Waiting…..drawing their life essence from the wickedness of man. Every greedy act, lustful intentions, envious deed, jealous heart, bloodlust, gluttonous behavior and the pure raw pain hidden in the hearts of men serves as their nourishment. Till finally they were powerful enough to take possession of the corrupted heart, pervert the soul and possess the being. They wanted total control over the humans and reign over the deities. Ultimate power. And they could, if the balance between good and bad was stolen and tipped off, then the hearts of men will become uncharacteristically corrupt. To prevent such calamities, the deities divided the people into two. The people of the sun and the people of the moon, they couldn’t coexist during normal times except during the divine eclipse where they would gather to celebrate. They also put people amongst the two kingdoms who could relay their messages to the people. Everything went fine till betrayal occurred among the gods themselves….. To prevent total chaos the deities sent their children, the sun goddess Kyrr sent her daughter and the moon god Seba sent his son. All in hopes to maintain the harmony of the humans, while they took care of the problem amongst them. This is the story of Miranda.

Maidservant? (part one)

"Hey Mira" Miranda's sparring partner James walked into the sparring tent, noticing her wearing standard sparring gear, her back to him, he greeted to catch her attention. Among their class they were the two best martial arts students so they were matched by the class head as sparring pair.

"Heard from the guys you were scolded for leaving palace grounds without supervision" he continued a smirk coming to settle on his face.

"How was it?" He looked at her conspirationally, his brows moving up and down in rapid motion.

After not getting the answer he was expecting for at least ten seconds he turned to check Miranda only to find her staring into space.

"Hey" he waved in front of her face to get her attention but it seemed she was day dreaming. Putting his hands on her shoulders he was about shaking her awake when she suddenly moved pulling said hand and turning it to an awkward angle.

"Aah-aah-aah-aaaah it's me…James!" he screamed with a twisted face finally catching her attention.

She hurriedly released his hands, an apologetic smile resting on her face.

"sorry…"

"fuuuccckkkk! what is wrong with you?!"

"My father would hear about this" he walked away mumbling.

Coming back to the present Miranda looked around. She couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching her. She hurriedly rounded up dressing and went to the fields that were more crowded.

At exactly the same moment Rode was back in the little house in the cave.

He appeared on his knees in the same room where his master was.

"I don't have much time left" Amon said not lifting his head from his seated position. "The council of deities would soon be holding court. If this part of my soul is not back to the dungeons, they would know what I'm planning".

"I would get all that you need master." Rode answered deepening his bow. As if on cue Amon's body or temporal body began to disappear. Before he completely vanished Rode looked up wanting to catch a glimpse of his master's departing robe.

He clenched his fist when he realized his master was already gone. His already firm resolve solidified. He would help his master gather all the things he needed to come to this world to exact his revenge, starting with the tear of the sun goddess.

"How old is princess Miranda?" queen El asked her primary maidservant who was standing at the corner of the room in other not to disturb her grace during tea time. They were in her private courtyard, in the tea room. They were the only ones present after the queen had dismissed everyone…or so they thought.

Little princess Elvira who was playing in her mother's courtyard ventured to the back garden of the tea room in search of her toy that had bounced away.

"She is fourteen your grace" the trusted maidservant of the queen answered.

"Oh" Queen El answered.

"How time flies…my little Elvira is seven"

"Has that girl been assigned a primary maidservant yet?" the queen continued to enquire in a calm and peaceful tone.

"Not yet your grace"

"If that is the case then tell Sebastian I would be assigning one of my finest girls to be her primary maidservant"

"Yes, your grace"

"Good. You know what to do", the maidservant bowed and left the queens presence. She knew what she had to do. She had to choose a maidservant that could control that princess reject, best to have her in the palms of their hands, she smirked.
