Chapter XIV - Seven Days

Mirah finally agreed to my condition. My request is to spend seven days with her and Oliver. And of course, under her own condition that I have to immediately approve the divorce papers she’s submitted. For quite a long time, I’ve thought about not meeting them at all and still make Mirah as my wife than to see her with other men. However, I realized that it’d be like these past 10 months, the difference is it be like that indefinitely, and those 10 months were a real ordeal for me.

I think whatever was served on the plate, nothing can change Mirah and her strong determination to pursue a divorce. All the paths that she sees only lead to nothing but permanent separation. So, it was better to separate but still have the opportunity to spend time and make memories together rather than not having any memories at all about Oliver and Mirah.
