Mira's Passion

"Sierraaaaa… oh sieerrrraaa… where are you??? Enough of your hide and seek already. You should come out so we will play my favorite game." I heard that masculine voice again and I froze into my place. I looked at the girl who had saved me. She was shivering with fear. "No, he is here. We need to hide. If he sought us, he would play his games again. We need to hide." She whispered and jumped inside the tree. The log of the tree was very big. And with the big hole, Sierra was able to hide inside its log. I also jumped into the tree and hid myself from that devil. His voice was more scary than the demons. I have not seen his face ever. But I could imagine his demonic face with the scary voice he had. "Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you.

CHAPTER 10

MARSHA'S POV:-

"Took you long enough, sister. But I am glad that you are here now. Tell me, you are here to save me." I heard that voice and I felt myself glued to the ground.

"What's wrong, Marsha? Are you not here to save me? You promised me." She said and I turned around. My eyes widened in horror as I saw her standing right in front of me. I actually thought that I was just delusioning when I had seen her in front of me in the morning. But I was proven wrong.

"Sierra? Is that really you?" I asked her as if I was a fool. She smiled cheekily and nodded her head. She came running towards me and pulled me in a sisterly hug. I just could not believe it. I was hugging a ghost. And felt like she was alive. I could feel her arms wrapped around me.

"Bloody hell! How am I hugging a ghost? Am I crazy?" I asked myself and she broke the hug.

"It is because you and I are connected. Otherwise, I would be nothing for you as well like the other people from around." She replied and grabbed my hand tightly. I almost forgot everything I had seen as I stepped into the basement of that horrific house.

"What happened here? What is this all?" I asked her and she also looked around. Her grin faded away and her eyes filled with tears.

"I have told you. He is a monster. He does that. He captures these pure souls wherever he goes. Then he brings them here. He tortures them and in the end, he sacrifices them. He says it makes him more powerful. And it also allows him to look more human than a monster. Maybe that is why you still can not recognize him." She said and I frowned. I was not sure what she was talking about. I was about to ask her what she meant but we started hearing those horrific sounds again. We both covered our ears as the sound was getting louder very fast.

"Demons came back. They are here. They are singing their songs so we would be scared of them. You have to get out of here, Marsha. You are my last hope. Angels never came for me. They went to you. They protected you. You have to go so you can save me. If demons got you, you will also be trapped like I am." She said and pushed me towards the stairs.

"No! I can not leave you here. You are a ghost, why don't you just come with me?" I asked her as she was pushing me.

"I can't. He controls me. I am just a puppet for him. You have to free me. Until then, I will wait for you. I know you will help me." She said and pushed me again. I climbed up the stairs. She was about to turn off the lights when I turned around and looked at her poor soul one last time. She forced a small smile on her face and nodded her head. She then turned off the lights and I stepped into the kitchen.

I then ran towards the door but someone grabbed me by my waist from behind. I screamed loudly and tried to free myself. I lowered my head and pushed it backwards with the full force. I head budded whoever was holding me. They groaned in pain and let go of me. I looked at his face. It looked like a demon.

It tried to grab my wrist but I pulled my gun out and shot it's head. It fell on the floor with a loud thud. I sighed in relief as I saw it lying on the floor lifelessly. It started laughing hysterically and started standing up again. I shot it again but this time nothing happened.

It grabbed me by my neck and slammed me with the wall near. "No! Let her go. She did not do anything. Let her go." Sierra came from behind and started hitting that demon. Even though she was the one who was held captive there. She was still trying her best to save me. But it was almost impossible for her.

It was choking me. I started gasping for air as my lungs started burning for oxygen. "Let her go, bloody demon." I heard a masculine voice. Before that demon would have said anything, something hit him very hard. I fell on the ground and suddenly I saw a bright light. There were flames of a burning fire. The painful screams of the demon filled the whole house as it burned right in front of my eyes. I had never seen anything like that ever before.

I looked at the man who had hit that thing. It was him. I recognized him. He was the one who was caressing my cheek on my dream. My eyes widened as I stared at him with wide eyes and mouth agape. "Please take her away. I beg you. You need to save her. If he came here, he would never let her go. Please, take her away and keep her far away from her. I don't want her to die." Sierra begged that man who had somehow burned that demon right in front of my eyes. I was too stunned to move or do anything. I was not even able to utter a word. My brain literally shut down seeing everything with my own eyes.

"We will be back for you, Sierra. Stay strong and don't give up. I promise we will not take long." He replied to her in a confident tone. Sierra nodded her head with teary eyes. Before I would have said anything, he pulled me into his arms and carried me bridal style. He took me back towards my car and made me sit on the passenger side seat. I just saw him hopping into the car, then quickly drive off.

"Mira, for the love of God, don't fall asleep. Talk to me." He said in a panicked tone as he was driving as fast as he could. I started to feel as if my brain was about to sleep. My eyelids were heavy. Suddenly, all the world fell silent. I smiled as I felt myself falling into that same darkness I always saw myself in those nightmares.
