Eye of Cthulhu

"Shit" As that curse left my mouth I grabbed the bow in my inventory and set it on a different hot bar, the Dead cells one being optimized for combat was nice, but it could only hold two at a time.

Pulling the string back as the nocked arrow aimed forwards, my finger pointed at the forming Eye of Cthulhu that had appeared through the vortex in the sky.

Glancing at the monstrous creature a set of data appeared right in front of my eyes.

[Eye of Cthulhu] [3,600/3,600]

'What' Before I could even process the new information that never appeared in my eyes before I loosed the arrow at the giant Eye now staring down at the ground.

Attracting the giant beings attention I did away with the new piece of information and eyed it.

'If I can see it's health, I guess I know how long I have to fight.'

Feeling the pinprick of damage [-1] which literally was a pinprick the eye turned towards me before rushing towards me with incredible speed.

4 meters in diameter the eye charged at the walls where I was on.

"Get away!" Shouting at the dumbfounded soldiers on the wall I vaulted the stone precipice and fell down onto the grasslands.

Blasting the goblins around a certain radius while killing a few I looked up.

Now surrounded by a goblin army that had gathered around and were sieging the city.

"A human has fallen into our ranks brothers! Tear them apart!"

'They can talk!?' Mentally screaming as the [Goblin Peons] Gathered around my body I grinned.

'Not that it can help with this thing-' Thought abruptly ending there as the Eye of Cthulhu appeared behind me from the walls, phasing through them as if they didn't exist.

Destroying the goblins nearby I luckily rolled out in the nick of time.

Sinking into the ground I eyed the goblins who were torn apart.

Now in the classic superhero pose, one hand on the ground another pointing to the air, kneeling down with one leg I rolled away again.

And just as expected the Eye of Cthulhu charged out.

Grabbing a misfired arrow from the air, I spun around and stood up before nocking the bow and firing once again. [-13]

Now having attracted the bosses attention sufficiently enough, the Goblins confused whether or not to hunt me or the boss.

What might be their commander shouted at the confused Goblins.

"Kill the human! The Giant Demon eye is only hunting it!"

Leaving those last words as I cleaved off it's head with the twin daggers, having had to jump into the air to reach their platform.

The head rolled off the [Goblin Sorcerer's] shoulders as I landed on the ground once again and burst into a run.

The Eye of Cthulhu now chasing me with a vengeance I smiled and grabbed a flaming torch from my inventory.

Seeing the giant being sink into the ground I flipped backwards and opened my inventory and dumped gel right in front of me.

Directly in the path of the Eye of Cthulhu.

Throwing my torch soon after I shouted joyfully. "This is a weapon I can use because of reality Bit-Kugh!"

Immersed in my small victory of lighting the boss on fire I forgot one thing.

I was not fighting the boss alone, and my companions weren't even friendly in the slightest.

And taking advantage of my brief joy of something I practiced in the caves working on the boss, the Goblin Archers loosed their arrows.

Spitting out some blood from my mouth I furrowed my eyebrows and grabbed the arrows sticking in my body out.

As the wounds healed after eating a piece of jerky the Eye of Cthulhu had already gotten rid of the flaming gel.

Having gone underground and phasing through it, the only evidence of my attacks working being the flaming patch on the ground and some nearby goblins burning alive, an angry Eye of Cthulhu and the data in my eyes.

'Although I think the boss is pissed now'

Without an eyelid it was hard to find out a literal flying eyeballs mood, but with how it was now staring at me with a... gaze that could kill.

Yeah it was pissed.

Dodging the charging monster that slowly picked up the pace, I had to pay attention to the Goblins around me at the same time.

Alongside the Servants of Cthulhu it seemed so eager to spawn every few moments.

Firing arrows and using the Chain balls every once in a while for that trap damage time continued to pass as blood covered my form.

Most of it not even being mine.

Though I must say that because I was down here attracting the attention of the Goblins who had the last order of killing me, the help from the guards who only needed to snipe the Goblins and Servants definitely helped in taking off the burden.

Flipping backwards I dumped gel onto the ground before throwing a torch, only to be surprised when the Eye of Cthulhu seemed to dash away and move somewhere else.

Inwardly cursing as the flaming gel missed its mark, the mistake of forgetting this was reality and my enemies could learn was devastating.

Though I didn't think that this eye could even learn as it was just that, a giant eye.

Getting punted from the back I couldn't check it yet, but I was pretty sure that I was on the verge of death.

Hurriedly gulping down a jerky I bought earlier down my stomach and healing, my blade stabbed downwards at the eye which had punted my body in the air.

And thus I began my fight once again.

Screaming without a mouth, the blade sunk into the hard flesh of the eye as I held on for dear life.

Using my twin daggers to hold me up, my hand rose and stabbed downwards.

If I'm going to ride this Eye of Cthulhu like a bucking bronco, I'm going to kill this thing while I do so.

Repeating my stabs the health of the Eye of Cthulhu constantly lowered as it tried to get rid of me.

Although because I saw how effective this was, whenever it sunk into the ground.

I always mounted it and begun my stabbing cycle once anew.

The timing for this type of thing was incredibly hard to do so I usually had to keep my inventory up in case I missed.

But eventually I cut down the eye of Cthulhu's health to half, all the while the goblins surrounding me were now incredibly small in number, and I had to watch my step for the flaming puddles of gel.

Which has thus led to the insanity of the second phase.

'I forgot about this form'

The Eye of Cthulhu, now much weaker now went into it's second phase, spinning around in the air.

Pieces of gore flew out and impacted the ground crushing a nearby goblin into a mushy paste under its force.

Spinning in the air, I wondered how the second form would look like in reality as it's first form was positively disgusting.

I would soon regret wondering about that.
