Nighttime

"C'mon Remmy," Scarlet said to Remmy.

Remmy was Scarlet's horse. He was running as fast as he could go. Behind Scarlet was an army of Pillagers, riding their Ravagers.

Scarlet was scared for her life, as well as Remmy's. She loved him so much. To lose him to those evil, trouble-seeking Pillagers, would be devastating. Running was the only option they had.

As they made their way across the plains, lights and small houses started coming into sight. Was it a village? A town? Or just a part of Scarlet's imagination? Whatever it was, Scarlet decided to head for it. It could be the safety Scarlet so desperately needed.

"Remmy?" Scarlet said, "see those lights and houses up ahead? Run there, boy!"

Remmy neighed as he put his head down further towards the ground and began to run faster. Scarlet held onto the rope as tightly as possible so she wouldn't fall off.

Scarlet and Remmy continued to run towards safety.

MineVille was protected by a ten block high cobblestone wall. Guards were stationed outside of the wall every second; day and night. Every guard was fully armored in chain armor, equipped with the best weapons. Crossbows, iron swords, flaming arrows, and potions of harming.

They saw the incoming danger.

"Incoming!" One guard shouted loudly so that his fellow guards could hear him, "arm yourselves and shoot on my word."

One by one, every guard standing on the outside of MineVille, armed and readied their crossbows with flaming arrows.

"Wait!" Scarlet shouted, "don't shoot!"

"Hold your fire!" Victor, the leader of the Guardsmen as he held his arm straight up in the air. "Let her pass. Open the gates."

One guard ran over to the side of the wall and flipped the lever up. The sticky pistons began retracting, opening the gates to MineVille to allow Scarlet and her horse to pass.

Remmy was breathing heavily as he was getting tired from running. Scarlet noticed he was getting tired, but encouraged Remmy to continue running. They were almost to safety.

As Scarlet ran through the gates, it became apparent why she was running—Pillagers riding their Ravagers. Victor saw them.

"Close the gates!" Victor shouted, "hurry! Shut the gates!"

Victor raised his crossbow, signaling to his men that he was about to give the order to open fire. The Ravagers roared in anger as they continued to huff and puff. The Pillagers riding them, held their arms up in the air. They were holding iron axes in their hands.

"Ready," Victor shouted as he glanced to his right and left to make sure everyone was aiming their crossbows, "aim."

Once he saw that everyone was in their aiming positions, he gave the order to finally open fire. "Fire!" He shouted.

Flaming arrow after flaming arrow, everyone launched their first wave of flaming arrows at the incoming Pillagers and Ravagers.

Ceres and Merlin appeared out of thin air and immediately saw the chaos beginning to unfold.

"Pillagers!" Merlin said.

"Ravagers!" Ceres said.

Merlin and Ceres grabbed their wooden wands out of their inventory. Ceres waved his wand around in the air just above his head. The tip of his wand began to glow a bright blue.

"Duplicate those arrows!" Ceres shouted as he aimed his wand at the flaming arrows. Once he did that, the amount of flaming arrows that were cruising through the air multiplied.

The flaming arrows now started to descend downwards towards the Pillagers. As the flaming arrows rained down upon the Pillagers and Ravagers, the guards reloaded their crossbows.

Only this time they weren't using flaming arrows. They were using their arrows that were dipped in a potion of harming.

"Ready!" Victor shouted the order again, "fire!"

Again, another wave of arrows were launched into the air. Because the arrows weren't on fire this time, it made spotting them difficult.

Suddenly, the gates to MineVille were opened. A swarm of guardsmen came flooding out through the opened gates. The guards were accompanied by none other than Daniel and Petra.

Daniel was wearing full iron armor from head to toe. He had ender pearls in his hand and a shield in his other hand.

"Grab my hand," Daniel said to Petra, "quickly!"

Daniel put his shield back in his inventory momentarily. With his other hand, he threw an ender pearl into the air and waited.

Once the ender pearl hit the ground, they both teleported closer to the Pillagers and Ravagers. They both took out their diamond swords and wooden shields.

Together, they ran towards the danger. Something they were known to do ever since they battled EnderBrine and HeroBrine a few weeks ago.

The arrows that were fired a moment earlier came raining down on the Pillagers and Ravagers. "Shield yourself Petra!"

Daniel and Petra put their wooden shields overs their heads to protect them from any arrows that could possibly severely injure them. Many of the arrows from the second wave struck three Ravagers and six Pillagers.

"Haven't seen a battle like this since the Great Battle of the OverWorld."

"Our world will never be safe. We must always expect the unexpected," Daniel responded, "and this is an example of the unexpected."

Daniel then ran towards the Pillagers and Ravagers. As he got closer, the Ravagers started running towards him. Once Daniel was close enough to the enemy, he swung his sword with accurate precision.

He hit the Ravager, knocking it back a few blocks. It roared as it was hit by Daniel's diamond sword. It then charged after him again. What a dumb and hostile creature they were. Daniel swung his sword again, striking the strong beast again.

"I can do this all day buddy," Daniel told the aggressive Ravager.

The Pillagers began calling out with their war cries. There were two Evokers who appeared nearby. One Evoker charged after Daniel without him noticing. He was too occupied with the beast.

The Evoker raised his arms straight into the air. Black bubbles started floating out of his hands. He summoned the fangs to appear out of the ground to attack Daniel. They did, hurting Daniel in the process.

"Daniel!" Petra shouted from afar. She, too, was fighting both a Ravager and Evoker. She hit the Ravager with her enchanted diamond sword. The sword was glowing. She enchanted the sword with sharpness II, and knock-back III.

The Ravager fell to its side. The Pillager jumped off of its dead beast. That Pillager ran towards Petra, his arm high in the air. He was holding his iron axe.

"Oh no you don't!" Petra said as she put her sword away and grabbed her bow out from her inventory. She quickly armed her bow with an arrow. The arrow she had equipped her bow with was dipped in a potion of slowness.

The arrow struck the Pillager, hurting him instantly. The slowness effect slowed him down a lot. That gave Petra enough time to switch weapons back to her diamond sword. She put the bow back in her inventory.

After she grabbed her sword, she approached the slowly moving Pillager.

"Bye, bye!" Petra said as she swung her sword twice at the evil Pillager. After striking it twice, the body of the Pillager fell over onto its side. It then disappeared. White particles rose into the air and fizzled away.

The backup that was much needed right now, came to assist in ending this battle. By the looks of it, the Pillagers were losing the battle fast. But they continued to fight anyway.

As the battle continued, another wave of flaming arrows came plummeting down towards the ground.

"Daniel!" Petra shouted, "we have incoming!"

Petra and Daniel used their shields again to cover themselves. But that wasn't necessary because all of the arrows missed them by a long shot. They did, however, hit their intended targets.

The last Ravager fell onto its side. Now there were no more Ravagers to worry about. All that remained now were three Pillagers, and two Evokers.

Oddly enough, out of the blue the two Evokers disappeared into thin air. All that remained now were the three armed Pillagers. They were all bearing an iron axe.

"Let's finish them off, Daniel!" Petra said to Daniel.

But as they ran towards the Pillagers, the three remaining ones quickly ran away. They fled the area in a hurry, ending the battle almost instantly.

"That was easier than I thought it would be," Daniel mentioned to Petra.

"A little too easy if you ask me," Petra responded, "we should go check on our friend. Just to see if she's okay."

"Good idea," Daniel responded as he and Petra began walking back towards MineVille. They approached the front gates and walked into the town.

The gates began closing. They would not be opened again until morning. A group of Villagers were surrounding the strange, terrified woman.

The woman held a leash in her hand. The leash was attached to her horse. Once the Villagers saw Petra and Daniel approaching, they all began to cheer and root for them both. They just saved this poor woman from the worst.

The woman turned around and saw why everyone was happy and cheerful. Daniel and Petra continuously waved their hands and smiled.

"Thank you, everyone. But we weren't the only ones. Ceres and Merlin helped as well as the Guardsmen too. Don't just congratulate us, congratulate them also," Daniel stated to the Villagers.

Scarlet tied her horses rope around an oak wood fence post. After she did that, she walked over to Daniel and Petra. She smiled and held out her hand to shake theirs.

"It's nice to meet you guys," Scarlet said, "my name is Scarlet."

Daniel was the first to shake hands with Scarlet. "My name is Daniel. It's nice to meet you."

"So what caused you to get chased by the Pillagers and Ravagers?" Petra asked, curious to get an answer.

The town was awoken by all of the commotion coming from outside the wall. The town was peacefully asleep up until that battle started.

"I would like to discuss this matter with you two privately if that's okay?" Scarlet asked politely.

"Of course," Daniel said, "follow us back to the Castle."

Daniel, Petra, and Scarlet were now walking down the gravel walkway. They were now all headed for the Castle. From there, Scarlet would explain everything to the two of them.
