5 Chapter 5

[Quest]

Acquire a territory for yourself 1/1 (Reward: Mod: Ice and Fire: Dragons)

[Ice and Fire: Dragons]

[Dragons have two types: Ice and Fire. Fire Dragons breathe fire and roam most of the habitable world, whilst Ice Dragons inhabit the coldest places known to man and freeze their prey to death. Both kinds of dragons spawn naturally as adults. And news has reached us of a discovery: Lightning dragons, powerful nocturnal creatures that deal blasting bolts of lightning to kill their prey.]

[These dragons will not spawn naturally, and can only be spawned by the host. The size is also customizable. In short, the possibilities are endless]

The celebrations are over, and Rickard will be leaving early in the morning tomorrow. Atlas was currently in his chamber, getting ready to sleep for the night. Not before checking on the quest he completed of course.

'This is turning out to be more interesting than I anticipated,' he mused to himself. The ability to summon an unlimited number of dragons and customize their size? Not only that but Ice, Fire, and Lightning dragons?

A mischievous grin played on his face as he thought about the Targaryens. 'Blood of the Dragon' he thought mockingly, they were known for their connection with dragons, and Atlas couldn't wait to introduce dragons to the world for their reaction.

'I wonder how the Aerys will respond, I can imagine him commanding my own dragon to burn me. Wait, he's not mad yet is he? Ah well, thoughts for another time.' He thought to himself, before he decided it was time to head to sleep, and he did just that.

'I should make a squad of dragon knights, maybe all of my original knights and bowmen? Is that overkill?' Atlas thought as he admired his work.

The dragonpit was done, and it was glorious. The structure was expansive, its spikes looked to be reaching toward the heavens. Towering spires adorned with depictions of dragons soared above, looking akin to dragon wings frozen mid-flight. The central dome, crafted with stained glass, gleamed in the sunlight, which cast a glow on the entire surrounding landscape.

The landscape was split into three sections. Each space is tailored to accommodate the Fire, Ice, and Lightning dragons respectively. Lava flowed freely alongside netherrack and basalt, looking like a mini nether biome. Ice spikes towered into the sky, looking much like the ice spikes biome. And finally, massive mountains spring up to the sky, this was reminiscent of a stormy mountain biome.

Atlas had used commands in order to transform these areas into biomes that perfectly suited his dragons. It wasn't just about functionality but ensuring that each dragon felt at home within its designated space.

Once he was satisfied with the transformation of the dragon pit, Atlas decided it was time to go through with his idea for Dragon Knights. With a simple command in his head, 15 knights materialized before him. Not randomly, of course, Atlas wrote for the tp command to invoke 'the most worthy.' He began to make them look the part as well, editing them slightly, infusing them with qualities befitting their roles.

The system had told him that the dragons won't accept a rider who doesn't have qualities which are similar to their own, so he began to add some of those qualities to his new Dragon Knights.

Five now had silver hair, and cold blue eyes, these would be the riders of Ice dragons. Atlas also made subtle adjustments to their armor, adding icy motifs, and he also subtly edited their personality to be colder to those they didn't care about.

Another five now had fiery red hair, the riders of the Fire dragons. Their armor was edited to bear red motifs, and their personality was edited to be bold, and strong-willed.

The final five gained electric blonde hair, and their armor was given details that seemed to capture the very essence of the storm. Their personality was edited to be adventurous, and quick-witted.

To complete their transformation, Atlas made his Ice dragon riders immune to the cold, his fire dragon riders immune to the heat, and his lightning dragon riders immune to electricity. "I will now spawn in your respective dragons, fear not, they shall not harm you."

Starting with the Ice dragons; they had shimmering scales that glistened like fresh snow, with a glow of intelligence coming from their icy blue eyes, reflecting that they were more than just a beast. Showcasing this intelligence, they each looked at one of the five new dragon riders, and after gifting my first five dragon knights with a saddle, they flew off together into the sky.

Next came the fire dragons; they had scales that resembled molten lava, with intense heat radiating from their bodies. Their eyes burned with a fierce intensity, yet upon gazing at their riders, their intensity subdued, and similarly, after Atlas gave the riders saddles, they flew off together.

The lightning dragons were beautiful, their scales crackled with energy, lightning bolts looking like solar flares as they danced around on their skin. These dragons roared off into the sky, manifesting bolts of lightning that danced across the sky, creating quite the spectacle, and they similarly flew off alongside their riders.

'Hmm?' Atlas noticed another dragon egg inside his inventory, and when he hovered over it, its name confused him. 'Hybrid dragon?' Intrigued, Atlas decided to spawn it, and instantly a colossal dragon materialized before him. Its scales are a perfect combination of icy blue, and fiery red, with electric currents.

'Quite literally a hybrid,' Atlas thought, the dragon embodied the essence of Ice, Fire, and Lightning. Its wings were a blend of frosty patterns and fiery hues which were mesmerizing, accompanied by sparks of electricity that danced along its skin, the dragon was a sight to behold.

'I don't know how big Balerion was, but this dragon is most definitely bigger,' It must have been over 200 feet long! 'I was wondering which dragon I would spawn for myself, but it seems I won't have to choose,' he mused. Floating up to the creature's eye level, he gazed into its tricolored eyes before bestowing a name,

"Ancalagon, that shall be your name," he declared, the words accompanied by a sense of connection. The dragon acknowledged its name with a majestic roar, echoing through the dragonpit. And as Atlas mounted his new dragon, he couldn't help the childish excitement that washed over him.

"Let us fly, my friend,"

"By the Gods, Dragons! Here! In the North!" Galbert Glover exclaimed as he entered the dragon pit, his eyes widening in awe at the sight of so many dragons, especially Ancalagon,

Atlas chuckled at the Lord's shock, "Yes, my lord. Fear not, however, these dragons are my and my men's companions, they are under control,"

Lord Glover, despite his initial astonishment, couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh as he counted the dragons, "13, 14, 16! HAHA! 16 damn dragons! Lord Atlas you must be a madman, the Targaryens will be so envious they'll explode like wildfire,"

Grinning, Atlas replied, "I do aim to make an impression."

Lord Glover continued to marvel at the dragons, a bemused expression on his face. "How did you manage to make it so hot here, and how in the seven hells is it storming there, snowing here, with lava flowing freely there as well?"

"Magic." Atlas's simple answer left Galbert gobsmacked before he once again let out a hearty laugh,

"Magic you say! HAHA! When Lord Stark sent me that letter of a flying man who summoned Valyrian Steel, people, and castles out of thin air, I thought him to be a madman. I only came here out of duty, imagine my surprise when a castle almost twice the size of Winterfell and easily thrice the size of Deepwood Motte, appeared from Gods know where with more dragons than the Targaryens ever had."

Joining in the laughter, Atlas spoke, "Sometimes reality is stranger than the wildest tales, now, let us discuss the specifics of our deal my lord, the gold you have already received, but you mentioned a castle and town?"

Lord Glover's eyes sparkled with excitement, "Aye, lord Atlas, our house has stood for almost 8000 years, yet we do not even have a proper castle. I wish for a castle that stands as a symbol of our endurance, alongside a town which can allow our smallfolk to live easier lives, without fear of freezing to death every winter."

Atlas nodded, taking note of his requests before speaking, "Do I have the freedom to do as I wish? I will say that for a short period of a few days, you and your smallfolk would have to leave the area, I can host them here if you would wish,"

Gratitude filled Lord Glover's eyes as he responded, "Your generosity has no bounds, Lord Atlas. You have our gratitude, and if you built all of this in a week, I trust in your abilities," he added with a playful look in his eye, "Perhaps in your absence, I can try my hand at taming one of those dragons of yours."

Atlas chuckled at the jest, "Taming dragons is no easy task, my lord. If you are not careful you may end up a snack. Feel free to admire their beauty as much as you wish, however."

Lord Glover laughed at the banter, before he took a more serious look, "Lord Atlas, Deepwood Motte houses almost 15,000 souls, I do not doubt your capabilities, but moving that many here and back is a tall task. Can you guarantee you can house so many?"

Atlas wore a thoughtful expression, considering the logistics before responding, "If you can give me a fortnight, I will have housing taken care of. You need not worry about food; we have plenty to spare, even for so many."

"You truly are a marvel, Lord Atlas. I shall return within the next two fortnights. Until then," Lord Glover extended his hand for a handshake.

Accepting it with a jest, Atlas chuckled, "Careful, my lord, I am not into men."

Lord Glover laughed heartily, "I'll keep that in mind, my lord. I look forward to our next meeting."

As their hands met in a firm handshake, the dragons inside the pit roared. The ground vibrated slightly, emphasizing the sheer power in their voices.

"It seems even the dragons are excited about our agreement. I assure you, Lord Glover, your people will have a castle and town befitting your long and decorated history."

With a nod of appreciation, Galbert spoke, "I will hold you to your word, Lord Atlas."

(Timeskip coming up, please comment ideas for house name and sigil cause I'm going to be completely honest, I have no clue.)
