Ch 3 ; Just leave

" We are here ! " Dani announced as she put the car in park mode , and they were safe again.

She had brought them to the house safely and she was proud of herself

" Do you need help ? " she volunteered.

" No, I don't . I am okay with taking care of her , by the way, I am already wet , you need not bother yourself. Lead the way " He lifted Kyra , the bridal style , following her sister into their house.

Eyes were on them as they entered into the compound, eyes that wondered why the Alpha of another pack was doing there with them, and he could see that they had fear in them. He was sure some people recognized him , that would be the only explanation. Except it has been a while since they have seen a gorgeous man in their compound.

He ignored them , counting his steps until he got to the door of Kyra 's own apartment.

The compound has about eight different houses with a couple of trees and flowers demarcating them. So that each of the houses could have privacy but at the same time into each other's business. The compound is quite big.

" What happened ? Why is she this way?" Their sister, Lola opened the door quickly without chilling to let them in, it was obvious that she had been out of her mind since she had the conviction that her sister was in danger.

" Someone was going to kill your sister , but I was there before that could happen. I am glad I did " he said putting her gently on the sofa that had been prepared with some blankets.

" What ? And where is this man ? Did you bring him here ? Did you ask for a name? " She said walking towards the door if there was someone who was still going to enter the house , so she could see him and ask him why.

" That man is dead now. . . I killed him " He said as a matter of fact.

" You killed a man " she stopped in her tracks , then turned to face him , as if noticing him for the first time. " Who are you ? "

" He said he is Kyra 's mate and her soon to be husband, " Dani said , taking the words out of his mouth.

" What do you mean by that ? I don't even know you ? " she exclaimed, putting her hand on her mouth to reduce the impact of the sound of her voice.

" Kyra , is what is this man saying true? "

She shook her head, then said in what seemed like a whisper " No , just tell him to leave "

" So mister , explain yourself. What were you doing with my sister ? How can we even know that you are not the one planning to kill her? How can I know you didn't make her like this ? "

" You can ask her when she wakes up. I am Conri Kessler , the Alpha of the safe moon pack, I will not let any harm come to her , trust me. She is engaged to be wedded to me , so that makes me a family too"

" What ? An Alpha ? What are you doing all the way here then ? " The actualization dawned on both of them. They knew that fact could only be true, the aura about him was confirmation enough, although he had not tried to use the power his title held over them, they knew what he just said was true.

" You can ask your sister about me , there is a really good reason why she is acting like that and I don't blame her , but I know she will definitely tell it to her sisters , I wonder why she has not told you all this time . It can only be because the feelings she once had for me are still there somewhere "

He moved closer to her on the sofa, planted a kiss on her forehead, then turned to her sisters " How long is she going to be like this ? "

" She will be out of it in a couple of minutes. Or one hour max. She is just in shock! It happens sometimes "

" I don't think I like the sound of that but , I will be back in the morning. I don't stay too far from here " he pulled the blanket covering her further to her chest so as to get the cold away.

" I will make her a cup of hot coffee , she will be okay, we are used to the shock mode but I still can't believe someone had just tried to kill my sister "

" That's what I am about to go find out, I will give you feedback tomorrow, don't forget to lock up well since we don't know what we are up against "

" Kiran " He took out his phone as he walked out of the compound to where his car was packed, to call his second in command and friend , he didn't think he would need him to go with him to find Kyra , so he had told him to stay behind to look after the pack while he was gone , but now he needs someone who knew Kyra too , hence him being the only one he can bring in.

" Conri , I have been expecting your call , did you find her ? "

" I did , and damn I don't like how I found her " he took his keys to open his car door and then connect his phone to the car Bluetooth so he could drive at the same time.

" Why ? You seem angry "

" Angry is an understatement, I'm livid! She is not safe here at all , why did she have to go away from me ? "

" You still haven't said anything Conri , what happened to her ? And by the way , you know the answer to that question more than I do , you know why she left, she was not safe here either "

" I know and I have been beating myself up about it since then. But she was almost killed in front of me tonight "

" Who would dare do that to your woman ? "

" Just a couple of days , but who is going to take care of the pack , with you gone , I am supposed to be in charge"

" Put Dotan in charge , he is also a Beta he is the one after you in rank , I think you should use this opportunity to test him , and see if he would be able to do a good job without you there. Tell him I said so! I need you here and fast "

" You want me to start moving now ? It is midnight already, I was sleeping when you called "

" I don't care , get up and be on your way. You will save time that way "

" It will take me at least three days to get there even if I leave now. I need to at least let Dotan know he will be taking over till we come back to the pack , You will make me irresponsible if I leave now without telling the ones who are supposed to be in charge what's going on"
