Chapter 16: Another moment for a cup of tea

Lucy called out Lucas to come and have a cup of tea with her like last time, so he obliged and went. When Lucas and Amari had eye contact, Amari's mood worsened, not that it could be seen clearly. Lucas sat down and Lucy told Amari to let them be. Amari left and the two were sitting down having a nice cup of tea.

Lucy said "So you told students how to cast your original spell." Lucas answered "So I did." Lucy says "You think that telling students the secret of the most powerful spell known to mortals is something that is acceptable?" Lucas answered "It's not like they can actually cast the spell. And even if they recite it perfectly with the correct mindset, they still would fail since I showed them the incomplete version of the spell."

Lucy says "I appreciate that you did that, but why reveal it in the first place?" Lucas says "Just wanted to fuck with that archmage guy." Lucy sighs and says "Of course you would do that. Say, how much did you leave from the chant that you showed the class?" Lucas answers "The last sentence."

Lucy says "And you don't think that Turious won't figure this out?" Lucas says "He seems so stubborn that he won't notice it. And even if he did, he would never guess what the last sentence says."

Lucy asks "Can you tell me?" Lucas says "Of course, the end is "nam honorem habere non possum"." Lucy says "I didn't expect you to actually say it. Why give me access to your trump card?" Lucas says "To actually reach the state of being able to use spells of the Inertia theorem is a miracle for a non-somnum person. The mindset you need to have is so alien to non-somnums that reaching that point is commendable."

Lucy asks "You aren't afraid that I will try?" Lucas answers "Not in the slightest. You haven't been able to reach that point in you the long time you have lived, so why would I be afraid. And if you ever actually manage to do it, then I shall congratulate you for your achievement."

Then a small moment of silence is spent drinking the tea that is in front of them. Then Lucy asked "What is Sylvia's great plan anyways?" Lucas says "Who knows." Lucy is surprised by this and says "Even you don't know? Then how can you… nevermind. Your infatuation for Sylvia is always the answer." Lucas says as if to brag "You know it."

Then Lucy asked "You aren't even the least bit curious what her great plan is?" Lucas says "All I know is that she is trying to achieve both of our dreams." Lucy asked "Which are?" Lucas says "I don't know what Sylvi's dream is, but for me, the only thing I need is to be with her."

Lucy then worryingly says "The fact that she won't even tell you is a dangerous thing. Maybe she is worried about something that you might do which would jeopardize the plan."

Lucas says "Unlikely. I personally think that she just wants to surprise me." Lucy says "Then this must be the world's most long awaited surprise gift."

Lucy then takes a sip of tea and then says "By the way, Sylvia asked me to give you this letter. She said that only you are allowed to open it, so I don't know what it says." Lucas is happy to hear this and says "So she finally is willing to convey her thoughts to me after so long. Give it to me." Lucy then gives the letter to Lucas, who then promptly opens it in excitement.

The letter reads as follows:

"Dear Lucas Knave. Or should I call you Legul Ranan as it is your true name? In any case, I write you this letter to give you a little morale boost in order for you to continue to do the work that you are doing.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see you, but there are still some circumstances that prevent us from reuniting. If I would meet you, then that would lessen the likelihood of the plan succeeding. But don't worry, we will be reunited once I'm done with what I'm doing on my end. And just in case you are wondering, I deem it necessary that you continue to work as a teacher before further notice. Nurture the youth and try to enjoy life as much as possible.

But now that it isn't necessary anymore for the sake of appearances, I prohibit you sleeping with other people. The wives of Legul Ranan were necessary for the plan, but now that you live with your identity as Lucas Knave, I shall not tolerate you sleeping with other people. While I think that me saying that to you is meaningless since your hopeless love for me, I still want to make it clear that I shall not tolerate any cheating. Lucas Knave is the husband of Sylviana Inertia and no one else.

And as to become an even better woman for you, I have studied many things concerning men's desires and kinks. For example, I have done a little work with my legs so that I have some muscle on them so I may squeeze your head between my thighs. I don't know how well you will like it and I'm not confident that I can "crush you" with my thighs, but I have put some effort into it. I also have made sure that I don't overdo it, since I don't know how much you liked my appearance when we first met. But if my guess is right, you would love me even if I would change how I look completely, so I'm not worried.

And other things I have tried to do in order for me to be even more of a better woman for you include me making sure my skin has stayed smooth and soft to the touch. My hair is also around the same length compared to when we last met. If I have to say a few things that have changed during your sleep, they include the fact that I have a little more muscle on my legs, that I have learned many ways in order to get you excited and I have learned some techniques that you might enjoy in our future together.

And as a gift for you, I have cut part of my hair for you to enjoy. Don't do anything overly weird with it, but enjoy it nonetheless. I know that you will like to smell my scent after all this time. It might smell a bit different compared to when we last met since there has been a breakthrough in hair products during the time you slept and I couldn't help but to use them. Even if the smell is a bit different, I know that you can use one of your skills to find my original scent in there somewhere, but as I said, don't do anything weird with it okay.

That should about do it for the letter. I hope that you will have a little more motivation with your career as a teacher. And I will say this more as to make sure you don't cause a headache for my dear disciple, but try not to cause too much trouble in your time as a teacher. I have foreseen some things that you will cause and I know they are almost certain to happen, but still, I urge you to try not to cause trouble.

With all my love I have written this letter and with all my love I wish you to stay safe.

Yours truly.

Sylviana Ilona Inertia."

And thus ended the letter. Lucas then noticed the hair that was in the envelope and picked it. He was smiling to see and feel this beautiful hair yet again. Since the one who sent it didn't mind him smelling it this time, he took a sniff at it and as expected, it smelled a bit different compared to last time he had smelled it. There still was a part of the scent that could only come from the one he loved, so he smiled and said "You spoil me too much Sylvi."

Lucy was sitting there, a bit grossed out, but she knew that Lucas' obsession with Sylviana was something that she could not help him with. And Lucy even knew that Sylviana expected him to sniff the hair since she also enjoys it, hence Lucy said nothing and let the transaction of pleasure unfold a little.

When Lucas was done sniffing the hair, he put it in his pocket and then said "Thanks for giving me this letter. You have done me a great service." Lucy says "I did only what my mentor asked me to do."

Lucas then smiled and asked "Do you want to sleep together?" Lucy paused for a moment, drank the last of the remaining tea and then said "No."

Lucas kept on smiling as he said "Back in the day, you would have jumped for the opportunity to do it with me." Lucy responded with "People have crushes from time to time, though it might be hard for someone like you to understand it since you basically never had but a single crush."

Lucas said "There always has been, is and always will be only one person for me that I love." Lucy says "Figures. Why did you ask anyways?" Lucas answered "To see what you would say?" Lucy then said "So if I would have said yes then you would have done it?" Lucas answers "Sylvi specifically said that I should not sleep with other people under any circumstances, so of course I would have refused."

Lucy then says "Got to admit though, I kind of feel sad for your one track mind sometimes." Lucas then says "I take it as a compliment." Lucy responds "Of course you do."

Then Lucas drank the rest of the tea and said "I have to say though, I'm kind of surprised that you haven't found someone you could love by now." Lucy says "I do love certain people, but true, I haven't had a person that I could love in that way."

Lucas asks "What kind of people do you love?" Lucy says "Sylvia, most of my blood relatives, Amari and… you."

Lucas is surprised by this and says "So you do have grown. Perhaps I should stop treating you like that naive little girl from back then." Lucy says "I would appreciate that. But of course you won't do it, am I right?" Lucas smiles and says "Of course not. This is the kind of friendship that we will always have." Lucy says "For goodness sake, you lord of simps."

Lucas smiles and says "So I did get one correct after all." Lucy is confused and asks "What did you get right?" Lucas says "That I am a simp." Lucy then facepalms and says "Of course you would be happy about that. You are Lucas after all."

Then the tea time ends and Lucas starts to leave. While he is leaving, he says to Lucy "I don't know what made Thosos forsake the trust that we had built with the Crimson Locust famíly, but I will make sure to hold to my end of the promise made between me and lord Olivier." Lucy knew that this wasn't meant for her, but it was meant for Amari. Neither Lucy nor Amari knew what this promise contained, but both of them agreed that it must have been important from the way Lucas said it.

Then Lucas left and Lucy asked Amari "Did you know what he was talking about?" Amari answered "Only thing that I know is that Olivier was my great grandfather. I don't know about a promise made between him and Lucas." The two then thought for a moment and started to hope that it wasn't anything sinister.
