The Royal Aegis, III

Millie looked up to her, mounted on her dark grey horse.

The words she spoke, wasn't any tongue he had ever heard.

Unknowingly, he countered her question with his own.

"ዓ፱ቹ ቹነ, ልዓ፱ቹነፕል ረረቹክፏ፱ል ዪቹየ፱ፏክልክፕ ቹክ ዓ፱ቹ የልዪረቹነ"

Taken aback by Millie's words, the confronters looked at each other in confusion.

Whispers appeared among them, after a short delay.

Things like:

"What did he say..?"

or:

"What the hell sort of language is that..?"

Realizing that the Millie and the opponents on horseback were at an impasse, since neither understood each other, he put his hands up.

Sighing, he told their leader:

"No point to it. I'll go, 'long thee."

Even though none of them understood his words, they could see what the gesture meant.

Beckoning her soldiers with a small nod, she told them:

"Get the ropes and tie him."

Playing along, for the moment, he waited as the armored soldiers left their horses and went to tie him.

Slapping coarse old rope around his hands, he looked at the two armored men that volunteered, as they tied and bound his arms together.

Once they finished the process, they guided him along to a horse, by roughly grabbing at his shoulders and pulling him.

Fully compliant with them, Millie needed to find another person that knew and spoke ⶴልረፕሃዪጎልክ as well.

Once sitting on the saddle, he realized they set him on the horse of the woman leading them.

Knowing she wouldn't understand, he spoke to her still.

A slight smile was on his face.

"ዐⶴ, ነጎ ክዐጮቹነ ፕ፱ ጎ ፓዐ የልዪረቹነነጎጮ ቹረ ጮልፕቹጎሸ... ልጎሸዐ ነቹዪጎል ጮዐረፕ ጮቹነ ቻልርጎረ…"
