Millennium

"If there are infinite dimensions, then there would be infinite alternate realities and if there are infinite alternate realities, we would exist in almost all of them that would make all of us omnipresent" ~ Stanley Victor Paskavich. In the distant future mankind has achieved a multitude of technological milestones, created a method of FTL known as ‘Millennium Drives’ and have been discovered by intelligent life from outside of the Milky Way Galaxy. Unbeknownst to the mortal realm a young woman from another realm has risen from the ashes of her tyrannical ‘Overlords’ and will soon leave her mark upon the universe. Centuries in the future within a realm unknown to mortals, a malicious war wages on between the Celestial kingdoms of Paradia. There are the oppressive God Collective; descendants of an ancient Celestial race who are committed to purging the Five Realms of the self-righteous and divine Goddesses. Both factions have not openly declared war upon another, but instead have initiated multiple proxy wars against each other. These proxy wars have been fought by the Monoliths; a Celestial hive mind race that numbered somewhere in the billions with a strong warrior culture, they pledged their loyalty to the God Collective. The Goddesses were too passive to raise an army of their own, instead they relied on a secret order of Mystics they had trained. These Mystics were few in number but were tactically superior to the Monoliths who unlike the Mystics couldn’t harness the power of the Ember; the Ember was a living cosmic essence that resided within the Realms and was responsible for mortals and celestials possessing supernatural abilities. After a millennium of war and casualties in the hundreds of millions, the Collective and Goddesses called a cease fire and signed a treaty which stated the two sides would govern over Paradia together. The Goddesses were reluctant at first, but after concluding that the Collective’s military was exhausted and with their own forces dwindling, they signed. The Goddesses chose to sign the treaty because two of their council members had foreseen events within the future that would cause war to plague Paraida again. Only this time they would have an army led by a mysterious warrior whose face was shrouded in darkness, with neither council member able to identify them. So, the Goddesses stayed vigilant as they ruled Paradia alongside the Collective as they waited for their time to come. That time would come almost two thousand years later during a time of relative calm throughout the realms. Over the millennia the Collective used their armies to oppress the populace of their respective kingdoms. This oppression came in the form of stringent workforce directives, children being enforced into hard labor conditions, an increase in taxes and fear being used to break the will of the citizens. But all of this would be unseen by the Collective as their greatest threat had just been discovered. Viennashal Iminz, a Goddess of the High Council and supreme ruler of Galaxia Prime has been keeping her daughter Alicia hidden away within the kingdom for years unbeknownst to the Collective, but this young Celestial has the blood of mortals coursing through her veins. Viennashal attempted to keep her daughter’s existence a secret, but the Collective had spies everywhere. With her daughter’s existence now known Viennashal will stop at nothing to guarantee her daughters safety; even if it means going to war. Because if the visions were true than her offspring would be the undoing of the Collective.

CHAPTER 2(Excerpt)

3 months later

Explosion after explosion went off around her as she opened her eyes. Before her was the scorched plains Galaxia. Fires plagued around her as she looked away from the plains and investigated the landscape further. On either side of her were young women in dark robes and armor. Each of them stood there watching something off in the distance, she noticed Cassandra among them. It was during this moment that she realized she was having some sort of vision.

As she turned to see what was in the distance. Her eyes went wide as she saw thousands of alien creatures marching towards their position. First thing she thought of was how far in the future would all this take place. Second was who did that army belong to? Alicia knew that no matter what, the Collective had armies in case a war broke out. What threw off was the appearance of these soldiers. They were unlike any Celestial race she'd ever seen, and she had studied on every race in the Five Realms since she learned how to read. The most likely thing she could think of was that they were never documented or they were newly created by one of the God's.

She looked away as she felt a hand grace her shoulder. She turned to see one of the young women speaking to her. She couldn't hear her at all, it was if her voice was severely muffled for some unknown reason. Alicia knew that sometimes in vision voices of those who you had not met yet in life wouldn't be audible. This strikingly beautiful woman whose blonde hair ran down her back was one she'd not met. She looked maybe a year or two old than she was. From just looking at her Alicia gathered that she was a mortal. This made her wonder how she could be here in Parada, the laws of this realm clearly stated that any mortal would die if they came here. So, that meant this girl was granted some sort of blessing in order to walk these plains. Or, Alicia was wrong about the girl's origin completely.

She began to walk forward and unsheathed her double-bladed sword from her back. Its handle felt empowered, like some kind of energy force was flowing through it. Alicia saw how the young women who stood beside her moments ago were now running ahead of her. She ran with them as she counted them and noted that there were seven of them. Each of them had abilities as she could feel it pouring from their essences. She instinctively ran with them as she put her blade in her right hand in an attack stance. With her left hand she sent a purple energy flame at an oncoming squad of soldiers. The squad went flying into the air each landing dozens of feet away as their bodies burned.

One of the young women went airborne and disappeared and reappeared multiple times as she seemed to gain speed each time. This woman sported red colored clothes, a hooded jacket instead of robes, a skin tight shirt and shorts, and a pair of pistols that shot out bursts of what she deduced to be plasma. Each shot of plasma hit a soldier directly in the head. Alicia watched as she went in and out of cover at perfect moments. Once she did, she talk to someone in what looked some sort of communication device she had on her head. Alicia looked around to find the source of who the other person was. She felt footsteps behind her in rapid succession, blazing past her came a cybernetic looking mortal. This cyborg looked almost to identical to the red dressed mortal. Alicia watched in amazement as the both of them charged ahead shooting down soldiers.

She glanced at another woman; she wore black robes with silver armor pieces. She had black hair and a small scar on her chin. This woman seemed to stay in close proximity of Cassandra who appeared to be a in a white armor suit with a cape attached to it. Her hair was not a pure shiny blonde but a dirty blonde with highlights of black. They seemed to fight in sync with each other as they struck down soldiers so fast that it would catch Alicia off guard how they almost seemed at times to fade out of view. It fascinated her that Cassandra was able to fight so many enemies at once. It also amazed that her best friend had made allies.

She turned her head back to the battle before her and was knocked back by an incoming blast she hadn't seen. As she lifted her head up at the sky, she witnessed the scorched blood red sky. What had happened to her mother's kingdom? More importantly, what had become of her mother and the Goddesses in this wicked future she was being granted a vision of?.......
