14 Solo Training Day 2

"It's... a little... tight..." Vince said as he struggled behind the door of the dressing room.

"That's good! Nobody likes a baggy superhero." Jenn said.

"Hey Jenn, this is very...revealing." Vince said

"Oh my gosh I totally forgot the special underwear!" Jenn said attracting attention from others. Vince hoped those people would have moved on by the time he exited the dressing room.

"If you put these on it will keep your dirty bits hidden" Jenn said at a normal speaking volume as an attempt at discretion. Vince could still hear others chuckling after her statement.

'Maybe I can just stay in here until everyone else leaves' Vince thought to himself as he put on the special underwear and the suit. He looked in the mirror and he was surprised what he saw. He always heard people say "dress for the job you want" but he felt it was a cliche that business people used to equate success with appearance. Wearing this suit he felt like it was his fire power realized on the outside but in a less showy way than other people with fire powers. It had an almost regal look to it and he knew it would look even more interesting with a flame in his palm. He slowly stepped out of the dressing room.

"Vince! You look so dreamy! You are like a completely different person in this suit! How does it feel? Is it comfortable? do you like it?" Jenn asked.

The entire store turned to look at him.

'Is this lady for real? I have never met someone so loud and enthusiastic about every little thing.' Vince thought. He looked and felt great but that doesn't mean he felt confident enough to be the center of attention thanks to Jenn.

"Thanks. It is comfortable and It looks pretty stylish. What about the fire?" Vince asked.

"This material is a special polymer that is able to adjust to nearly any heat resistance to keep from burning. The hotter the suit gets, the harder the material gets like an armor." Jenn answered.

That is great but how much is it? Sounds expensive..." Vince asked

"It's $450 but I can give you my friends and family discount of 20% so $360. Does that work for you?" Jenn said.

"Yes! That is great! Oh! and the ... uhh... underwear?" Vince asked

"Consider it my treat!" Jenn answered with a cute wink.

Vince was surprised by her generosity and he definitely noticed her wink. He was wondering if maybe she had a crush on him or if she was just being nice. He was surprised that someone as pretty and talented as she was would even talk to him much less buy him underwear. Come to think of it he hasn't seen any guys talking to her- even as friends. Maybe she was just lonely.

He decided to stay in his suit since he was going to go train after this anyway. He walked over to the counter to check out with Jenn.

"Are we still on for tomorrow at Andromeda?" Jenn asked.

"Of course! I just saw Clive yesterday by chance and I confirmed with him as well." Vince answered.

"I can't wait to see you two show me what you've got!" Jenn said with a smile.

Vince was sure his new skill packed quite the punch but he wanted to be even more amazing in front of his new friends so he practically ran the full path back to his neighborhoods concrete slab "training area". He caught the eye of many interested parties on the way. Including a short-tempered man with a water power he had met once before. Brad noticed Vince's new suit and sneered while thinking of all the ways he would get back at Vince for starting the fight that got him kicked out of Andromeda.

Vince finally arrived slightly exhausted but excited to train. His goal for today is to make both fists flaming at the same time and hold them for as long as he could. He wanted to raise his stamina and maybe level up the skill in the meantime. It was a breeze to upgrade his skill [flame] so this should certainly be feasible in a day.

He trained for nearly 6 hours straight before there was finally another breakthrough!

He did it!

Now that Flaming Fist was upgraded it was time to see what he could do with it! The description read, 'Flaming fist can be used as a long range attack as fire in the form of a fist is shot forth.'

While this seemed like a really great development, his neighborhood park is hardly the place to test it out. He guessed he will have to try it in front of Clive and Jenn tomorrow for the first time. He hadn't used his flaming fist to attack an actual target so he wasn't expecting much but it would be a "showy" skill that's for sure. He decided to train for 2 more hours working on [Flame] as he tried to max the skill out to 3/3.

It was another terribly exhausting day of training. When he got home he made a quick meal, hand-washed his new suit, showered, and went to bed in preparation for his power debut tomorrow.
