The Hospital

"Ruby, did you already execute the plans I informed you about for the earth mages?"

Ruby took on a pleased look, then said, "Yes, Fate, we started the fortification plans last night."

Fate grew amused by this statement. In this world, unlike others, the mages are all extremely arrogant and proud individuals. So Fate was surprised that Ruby was able to make them cooperate.

Thinking further, knowing Ruby's personality, she likely enslaved them. But Fate saw no problems with this. Fate may be a kind individual, but he is merciless to his enemies.

Fate figured he could always free those losers after they completed their work.

"I'm fine with you taking those guys down a peg. But don't take things too far; the last thing I want is a slave uprising."

Ruby just smiled kindly at Fate's statement. Little did her lord know that Ruby had already started their indoctrination process. Sorry, Ruby meant the education process for these arrogant mages, and they are well on their way to being loyal fanatics.

It does not take a lot to make someone a loyal follower. For instance, just mention immortality, and they will do anything for you.

Little do these mages know they are merely expendable cannon fodder for the true inheritors of Phoenix Rising. The common people, peasants, and eventually slaves.

Phoenix Rising is a cult movement meant to be for the people, of the people, and made by the people. Very few nobles will be allowed to join.

"Don't worry, my lord, they have already voluntarily joined your cause. They are no longer enslaved."

Fate was surprised by Ruby's statement. But Fate, being the paranoid individual he is, felt it best not to ask about further details.

Fate looked out over the city of Valoria, seeing many new guards and soldiers. But all of them had the distinct outline of sexy females.

This made Fate wonder how many subordinates Ruby actually has. The soldiers all wore dark blue leather armor with a black cloak to cover their faces and body.

Then guards wore black armor with midnight blue cloaks covering them.

"Well, at least we got rid of most of the influence that King Samuel Bloodsworn has over Valoria. But there is still the academy and that damn Nimrod. If that prick is here, then the rest of the green tea bitches will show up here as well."

Ruby grew a bit concerned at Fate's comment.

"Fate, is there someone you need me to eliminate?"

Fate may want to get rid of those green tea heroines and that hero. But that would mess up the story of Blissful Paradise too much.

But if Fate can recruit all of his MILF targets, then it will be a simple matter to get rid of these annoying flies.

"No, Ruby, you don't need to do anything for now. But now that the city is cleaned up, we should move on to getting rid of these traitorous nobles. They are bleeding the common people dry with taxes. Not to mention the food and disease situation. So, Ruby, let's go look at setting up a hospital for my city, one that everyone can afford."

Fate, as a paranoid individual, was concerned about the plague. But Ruby had different assumptions.

Ruby was truly impressed with her master's ideas. He is right; if you want to spread the beliefs of Phoenix Rising, then you must first control the hearts of the people.

Then you can manipulate them to your whims.

Little does Fate know that almost any kindness he shows is interpreted as a way to manipulate others. By a yandere like Ruby who only considers how best to control others for her master's needs.

Fate left Shadow Spire Citadel with Ruby by his side. They then made their way to the former home of Knight Commander Holms.

The building was still standing, but the place looked like a shell of its former glory. With the wall tiles removed. The luxurious plants were missing, and even the ponds in the ground were emptied.

The glass windows were gone. There was no furniture in sight in the building. Now that Fate thought about it, many of the nicer buildings in Valoria are suddenly looking very desolate and poor.

Fate put on a serious face, looking to Ruby at his side.

"Ruby, we must have a band of thieves running around Valoria. Be sure to keep an eye out for them. I can't allow myself to be robbed. I'm too handsome to be homeless."

Ruby could hardly hold in her laughter. So she simply said to Fate, "Don't worry, Fate, my subordinates will catch these thieves."

"That's good, Ruby, but they could have at least left the floor intact. At least this massive building can be used as a hospital. Someone tell me, why does a civil servant need such a monstrous home?"
