Maria cried as she carried out her duty to clean up Nimrod. No matter what hardships she must endure, she would never regret betraying her old master, Fate Grimsever.

Nimrod thought he heard crying but knew that no one would dare cry in front of him unless they were begging for mercy. So he just ignored it and enjoyed the bath from Maria.
He was also getting used to the new teeth that Bruno paid for him to get from the church. He had to be knocked out while they made them regrow with magic, but he did not think too much about it, assuming that the procedure was just painful and Bishop Gary wanted to help Nimrod get through it easier.
When he was done being cleaned, Maria asked Nimrod, "My lord, why did you have to get your new teeth before I was able to clean you up from Bishop Gary's unfortunate accident?"
