1 Blind date?

The guards of a manor respectfully opened the gates for the incoming car while the ones standing on the way gave a bow to the person seated inside. A young man stepped out of his car and moved towards the entrance casually without a care about the people bowing for him in respect.

Once he was inside, the maids informed him that his father was waiting for his arrival in his study room for a while now. After giving a nod, he walked in the direction of his father's study.

The playful expression of his face turned serious as soon as no one was in his view. He was nervous to know the reason for his father calling him suddenly which never happened in his 25 years of life. The little friendship reduced a certain amount between them the moment he decided to be an actor instead of some serious profession according to his father.

Though he made his name in the industry and had a lot of following of his own, without using his father's name, it was never satisfactory in the eyes of his father. They did not break their relationship like the stories in novels, but the distance between them is visible.

All the young man wants is his father to recognise his worth and nothing more, which made him even more nervous for he did not know the reason for his father's sudden summoning. He doesn't remember any scandals he caused unknowingly which may bring his family name to the gutters.

Once he was in front of a door he raised his hand, paused for a second to take a deep breath, and knocked on the wood.

"Come in," an aged male voice was heard from the other side of the door.

He released his clenched fist to open the door and entered the room to see his father sitting on an armchair facing a woman whose back was facing towards the door.

The atmosphere is nowhere friendly but instead was too serious for his liking. He stepped inside, to the center of the room and stood in between the middle aged man and the unfamiliar woman.

The lean and beautiful figure sat straight like a stick but there is no sight of uncomfortableness on her face. Anyone can see that she sat as per her habits and not due to nervousness that generally appears on the young girls facing such a famous figure like his father.

"Father, you called for me?" the young man asked his father masking all his nervousness with his calm facade. Of course, he was trained to never show his true feelings to anyone since childhood.

His eyes couldn't help moving towards the woman who appeared to be around the same age as himself, calmly drinking her tea without a care for the world. Her eyes never landed on him, not a bit curious. Her elegance was apparent on her every move, clearly showing she was from a well disciplined upbringing.

"Yes. Come here and sit down first," his father spoke gesturing for him to take a seat.

"Oh," he nodded and took a seat to pour himself a cup of tea which was placed in front of him and started sipping it for himself. He slowly raised his head elegantly and looked towards his father indicating to continue what he wanted to say.

"I heard that you are going for filming in City B tomorrow?" although he said a statement, he maintained it to be a question in order to confirm himself to proceed his talk.

"Yeah. Tomorrow around noon, I would start from here. Is there something with it?" he asked with confusion clearly laced with his voice.

"Okay. How long will be your trip for?" His father asked in return without clarifying his doubts.

He being the obedient son he is, couldn't help but answer sincerely, "For a month."

"A month," the older man mumbled to himself thinking something and looked towards the woman sitting opposite him. The young woman contemplated for a second and nodded her head for him in response.

The older man nodded his head back to say that he understood and turned his head towards his son with a serious expression. It is clear that whatever he is going to say is very serious because he never had such an expression for even a very heavy deal according to the understanding of his son. So he turned serious too.

"Xiao Wen, let me introduce you." he turned towards the woman and said, "Miss Shao, this is my younger son, Sun Bingwen. Xiao Wen, this is Miss Shao Rong."

"Hello Miss Shao," Bingwen greeted while she nodded in reply.

"Xiao Wen, you are going to take Miss Shao to City B with you tomorrow and guide her there to any place she wanted to go," Father Sun ordered his younger son.

Bingwen widened his eyes as he thought of something. 'Is this a blind date?' He asked to himself in horror.
