Chapter 1: Free

Gasping for air as I sat up aching looking around I was in a big violet beautiful room with a golden mirror vanity and a bowl with a white rag and I saw I was wearing no shirt only my bra and black pants then I got up to look at me in the mirror.

I checked to see the rest of me but I backed up because I was tall and I saw my hair was pure white with a black streak on my side bangs and my pale skin ,fangs on my soft lips. My eyes weren't the same the left was pure white even the pupil looking lifeless with a long scar but it wasn't visible because of my side bangs covered it the other was blood red pupils looking like a dragon almost looking like I was ready to kill someone.

My horns were in front they a dark grey color it went well with my tail and wings they were pure black but my feathers on each side had gold on the tips and they were huge that they are dragging behind me when I walked and on my shoulder was a tattoo like birthmark of a wolf, a phoenix, and a dragon using it's feathered wings surrounding the two. My sleveeless shirt was off next to the bed same as my shoes showing my abs with scars all over I sighed then my pants were black with visable leg plate armor and I still had on black fingerless gloves .

. The door opened reveling a small proper old women up to my waist she had grey hair, blue eyes and then I notice she had on a well dressed purple robe with a beaded necklace holding a wooden cane ." My my what a feisty young lady you are " she said while walking towards me as I looked at her some reason she looks similar to someone but I can't remember who I didn't speak. I don't get much vistors especially someone who has special features " I suggest that you might want to hide them the these townfolk might mistake you as a monster ".

" And dont worry nobody saw you and also one of my maid will guide toward you to the dinning room I would like to talk to you" then she turned around before she reached the door and gave a sweet smile " oh and there are a new change of clothes for you just ask one of my hand maids".

I nodded then she left and I looked at the mirror again and ran my hand through my hair turning it pure black execpt the streak instead of black it was white slowly as if it was my orignal hair my eyes stayed the same and my hand created a mist dark mist removing my my horns, tail, fangs and my wings.

I heared knocking at the door as I walked over opening the door still shirtless and a pretty girl was outside she was staring like a deer in headlights at me with a pair of clothes in her arms. She had long blonde hair and dark blue eye's and she was wearing a pant suit she's really pretty then she handed me the clothes " w-when you done go left then to your right to the dinning room" then she walked away in a rush and just watched her till I could't see her anymore.

Looking at the clothes as I close the door I put the light grey pants when I changed my black pants and then on a loose black long sleeve shirt and a white and black stripe jacket on top and put on my shoes ( it's not bad } the I went outside looking for the dinning room. The place was beautiful the walls were full of color and windows showing a flower garden and a path to a small greenhouse filled with colors then I saw the dinning room the white walls with a few paintings and the 14 seats were silver with white cushion. The old women was sitting in one end gesturing to sit next to her so I did and the maids brought out the food.

They brought out bowls of rice, salmon and a small bowl of meat and vegetable soup then the old dismissed the maids "now we can talk" she looked at me dead in the eye as she said that " why would the last of the deviled angels and the warrior princess been asleep in my families estate for a 10,000 years " I was shocked ( was I really asleep for that long). Cluching my fist and I paused for a second to collect my self " I don't know ".

She looked at me in concern as I looked down at the food then she got up from the chair and rest a hand on my shoulder "you can stay here were you can be safe " she paused for a minute to hand me a box with a long chain necklace with a fancy clasp of a silver spiral wolf with a blue rose in it's mouth. " In return I only want you to be my granddaughter you can always decline " I was shocked on what she said " why me dont you have your own children or grandchildren " I said while she returned back to her seat.

" Well ... my only son was killed along with his family not long ago not giving her the chance to live her life but don't think your replacing him your not I swear it's just need some company " she said to me. " Then why do you want me to be your grandchild then " I said still confuse then she sat down crossed her fingers resting your chin " Well people would be suspicious and people might come looking for you well it will depend on who and I'll let you live your own life ".

" Can I take so time to consider it please can I take some time to think about it " she nodded and I left the table and went to the hallway that had the windows near the garden and I saw around the corner a door that leads outside. As I opened the door a cool breeze and blind light gently hit my face and my bare feet touching the soft grass and I just walked around mostly towards the small greenhouse and as I went inside it was huge.

There was glowing flowers, roses, colorful trees floating above the air and in the middle was a floating fountain with so many colorful and magical fish swirling around looking around like an idiot. Once I looked around I saw a small patch of blue roses surrounded by green grass and as I sat down near it and not long the old lady came up to me and sat near me.

" I've been running for so long that it's hard for me to accept what was going around me" I said in shame " running away won't change anything dear sure anyone can run away frome there problems it's just a race after all that your never going to win but the only way it will pass is to work through them ". I cried and the old lady huged me in such warmth that I haven't felt in forever I missed it then I calmed down sleeping in her lap and for the first time I felt at peace.
