30 Blackening

The title song put a spectacular end to the performances. The song ended and the lights turned on shining brightly on the eight people on the stage. No one in the audience thought they would hear such a sad, emotional song with a striking choreography.

Some people were dazzled and some were crying silently. One reporter was dumbstruck by the reactions of the audience. While he zoned out a tissue entered his vision. A teenage girl next to him was holding out a tissue for him.

" Mister, you are crying."

He touched the corners of his eyes in a hurry. The unfamiliar wetness he felt on his fingertips shocked him. After a few seconds of speechlessness, his head slowly raised to take a look at the stage.

Members bowed to the audience, they could all hear the roaring applause. Heaving a big sigh, they all turned to the side of the stage and went back to the dressing room.

Cheering and crying staff congratulated the members one by one. No one doubted that this song would take the music world with a storm, toppling the charts of all stations.

The boys collapsed on the couches, breathless. It was obvious how much of a toll it took to perform this song. But they were feeling the happiest they have ever felt since their debut. They saw sparkles flying in the air, people clapping while crying and cheering them with all their might.

"It feels like a dream."

"Did we just performed that?"

"It felt amazing. Did you hear all those cheering."

The younger line of the group talked about their feelings without even breathing. Joo hyuk still had the energy to jump around like a puppy.

Mi Jung had tears on the corners of his eyes. He has become such a crybaby since he lost his life. Every line of the song stabbed his heart, he could hear the screams of grace inside him.

"This song..how am I going to perform it over and over again."

It was just a murmur but jay caught on it. He turned his head to the side.

" It's our song. "

Mi Jung felt startled. It's our song. Our song.

Of course, it is going to hurt. I wrote it so it would hurt. Exhaling a big sigh, mi Jung turned to jay.

" It's a double-edged sword, huh?"

Jay smiled under his nose, wiping the sweat in his forehead.

" Just like you wanted, isn't it?"

Haneul finally stood up and started the instructions.

"Okay! Let's freshen up and go back to the stage. We still have an after-show interview. Who has to get their makeups done again? Mi Jung, jay, Kyung Jae, and Jae Hwan. Anyone else?"

He looked around the room to see if any other members' makeups were ruined or not. Seeing other members were pretty okay and just needed some touch-ups, haneul clapped his hands to get everyone moving.

"Okay, the rest should change their clothes now. We don't have much time, let's go. Chop chop."

Boys stand up from where they were sitting to get their makeups done again and the others went to change to more casual clothes for the interview. For ten minutes there were only the sounds of people and machines working. On the stage was the mediator making small talk with the audience and keeping them engaged. But she had a hard time calming the crowd down since they were all excited to the extreme after the last performance. Fans were going crazy but the press was going crazier. When the mediator finally got the news that members were ready, she almost shed tears of joy.

"Now the time we have all been waiting for is here. Let's welcome the members of A-GEN on the stage for today's last interview!"

Screams and cheering were tearing down the room. Journalists, photographers, and cameramen were also enthusiastically clicking on their machines. The performance left them with goosebumps and thrills going through their veins. They felt this group that wasn't very eye-catching before was now a goose that lays golden eggs.

The mediator with a smile on her face welcomed the members and waited for them to be seated.

"It seems today everyone enjoyed the show, how do you think your performance was? what did you think while performing?"

Joongi who already had a microphone before others with a smile. " when we were preparing for the song we thought maybe it would be too heavy for the people to like it and came up with a suitable choreography. But it isn't easy to dance to those emotions. Nevertheless, we enjoyed performing our title song and we think it is a good song. I hope everyone thinks so as well."

The audience cheered and gave affirmative answers. They liked it. They liked it soo much it hurt.

"Of course we liked it. It was an amazing feat. The choreography seemed to tell a story. Can you tell us what it is?" the mediator asked after all the cheering subsided for a second.

" I think Jae Hwan Hyung can answer that one more clearly."Joongi looked at his left gesturing with his hands towards Jae Hwan.

Jae Hwan with a microphone on his hands thought for a while. "Well, I think it is not a story but generally how the emotions in the song are expressed. Like grief, sadness, helplessness, and despair. The choreography was made to relieve the listeners of the song's burden, the pair dances, and the colorful shirts. It gives the feeling of completeness but the two different colors and their pair dance is different from other members'. That is because just like said in the song. That they should part away and no matter how similar they look and how much they fit each other they need to let go because they are different."

Ooohs and ahhhhs were heard from the audience. The mediator shows an understanding face while nodding her head and asks another question.

"But all of the members are pretty young, right? It is hard to even sing and express a song with this much heartbreak but you produced and also wrote the lyrics for the song. Does this song have a secret meaning for the members?"

Haneul sends a meaningful glance towards Mi Jung with a helpless face. They more or less expected this kind of question but answering would still require a nice wording. Mi Jung sent a glance on Haneul's way, nodding his head. And takes the microphone to answer the question.
