Evi stood outside the heavy wooden door. She hadn't gone out much since moving to this quaint little town two weeks before. She'd had so much to do- Moving her things, setting up her apartment to her liking and roaming around the lush green forest that surrounded the place.

The damp night air was a little cooler than she was used to- moving from hundreds of miles inland to right next to coast. Though the night air was chilly, this entire town seemed so warm and alive, and living on the hillside with a window facing the bar, she'd seen that it was a busy place.

"Perfect." She'd thought, and spent the next few evenings mentally preparing herself. Evi had spent most of her life alone; she was a shy, anxious girl and although in her adult life she loved being around people- She was introverted and had very few social skills. Bars had become her favorite places- where she could hide away in a corner and watch people being their truest selves from afar.

She exhaled deeply, and clutched her book tighter as she pushed open the door. She fought to keep her expression emotionless, but her blood ran cold as the entire place went quiet and every head turned her way.
