Chapter 8-facing unity

at unity

Kelly sneaks past the guards and manages to climb up to the window and looks through it to see the little girl running through the hall crying while being chased

"get back here you little-" one of the guys say

the little girl runs into unity and falls down and bumps her head

the little girl looks up to see unity with a furious look on his face

unity yells at the men and grabs the little girl by her arm and takes her back with him

Kelly watches in horror as it brings back some terrible memories for her

Kelly shakes her head refocusing herself

Kelly continues to make her way around looking into their base

Kelly looks through the window and finds unity's room she sees unity sitting at the desk while the little girl is just silently playing

the little girl looks at the window and notices Kelly

Kelly tells her to shush

Kelly hides quickly as one of the members walk in and take unity away

Kelly looks back inside as the little girl gets up and walks towards the window and opens it

Kelly steps inside and goes over to the desk to look at the papers

the sound of footsteps start to form as they grow closer

Kelly grabs the girl and runs out the window as quick as she can closing the window behind her

Kelly props the girl up on her back and starts to make her way to the roof just as unity started screaming after discovering the girls gone

Kelly gets to the roof and runs and looks inside the glass to see members running around as unity looks up at Kelly and sees her

Kelly backs away quickly but as she does unity shoots a gun up through the glass and scraping against Kelly's arm as she moves back

Kelly winces in pain as she puts her hand on her arm where the bullet hit

Kelly continues to run as she makes her way to the next building over and gets to the ground before hearing footsteps nearby and starting to run leaving a trail of blood from her arm

Kelly manages to lose unity and make it back to school

Kelly sneaks through the dorm hall and into the dorm weakly

just as she gets through the door she puts the girl down but pasts out onto the ground making a loud boom sound as she hits the ground getting Sean's attention

Sean comes to the living room to find Kelly past out on the ground as the little girl is trying to wake her up

Sean walks over to get Kelly up as the boy walks out to see what's happening

the little girl runs over and hugs the boy as Sean walks past carrying Kelly to her room since its to late at night for her to get to the hospital

the next morning

Kelly wakes up and looks around to find herself in her bedroom

she looks down at her arm to see bandages where the wound from the bullet was

Kelly walks out to the living room to find the boy sleeping on the couch with the little girl in his arms beside him

Sean walks up behind Kelly

"I see your awake" Sean says catching Kelly by surprise as she turns around to face him

"you need to stop being so reckless, your gonna get yourself killed one of these days" Sean says with a serious look on his face

Kelly just stands there silently looking at Sean

"next time don't go alone" Sean says looking at the bandages on Kelly's arm

"why does it matter I got the kid" Kelly says

"but you got hurt" Sean says with an angry tone

"this was after I got the kid" Kelly says putting her hand on the bandages

"so then you almost got caught?" Sean says in an angry and questioning tone

Kelly ignores Sean and walks past back to her room as he follows in anger

"hey did you hear me?" Sean says as they enter the room

"yes I heard you start to get angry while the kids were asleep" Kelly says and she turns around to face

"I wasn't almost caught I was seen by unity and he shot at me" Kelly says as she walks towards Sean and stops directly in front of him

"luckily I moved away in time so it was just cut" Kelly says in an angry tone and look

"now if you don't mind I'm going to take a shower" Kelly says as she starts to walk away towards the bathroom but Sean grabs her wrist and pulls her back towards him and wraps his arms around her from behind keeping her from moving

"you need to stop" Sean says holding Kelly so that she cant walk away

"and you need to stop" Kelly says trying to get free from his grasp

Sean just stands there silent as Kelly gives up trying to get free and just stands there silently looking at the ground

"why are you doing this?" Kelly asks

"it hurts.." Sean says with a shaky tone of voice

Kelly eyes widen in shock

"it hurts when I see you hurt" Sean says

"why.." Kelly asks

"I don't know" Sean says as he lets go Letting his arms fall

"well... let me know when you find out" Kelly says as she starts to walk towards the bathroom leaving Sean standing there
