Chapter 10- escape

a few days later

Kelly's on her way to pick up the kid from school

"jeez suspension is so boring, I didn't even know they still did that in college" Kelly says walking up to the school gates

Kelly walks inside the school looking around

Kelly's walking down the hall as the sound of screaming start to form

Kelly runs down to see the boy getting beat up

just as one of the bullies push the kid to the ground Kelly knees him in the back of his head causing him to fall down in front the boy and the others turn around to look at her

one of the teachers came running down the hall screaming

(in the principals office)

the principal has his head burried in his hands with the look of disappointment on his face

the principal lifts his head

"I'm very sorry for what happened but as it sounds it seems like David has started it by bullying the kid first" the principal says looking over at David's parents

"can't you do something though she has no right to kick my son especially when she doesn't go here" one of David's parents say with a rude and angry tone

"no I cannot considering she was expelled from here long ago for this behavior and it seems that she has been suspended from her current school, the boys parent will be here shortly so you may talk to them about this if you want" the principal says

just as the principal finishes speaking someone walks into the office

"are you miss Eva?" the principal asks looking at the girl

"yes that is me" Eva says in a nervous and scared tone as the room becomes silent

Eva looks over a sees Kelly as a look of fear and worried comes onto her face after a slight look of happiness for a split second

Eva looks back at the principal as he starts explaining what has happened and the current status of the situation

"I see.." Eva says

"I see is that all you have to say is I see" one of the parents say as their tone starts rising along with their anger

"my son was kicked in the head because he put that boy in his place and yet all you have to say is I see" the parent says as they stand up and yell at eve

you can see Eva's anger rising as Kelly gets up and smacks the parents in the back of her head

"there now you match your son" Kelly says as the parent turns around to see Kelly

just as the parent finishes turning around Kelly slaps them across their face leaving a hand mark on her cheek

"and that's for talking bad about mine" Kelly says with an angry tone as the look of anger arises on her face

"now then why don't you leave or I can continue its on you" Kelly says

Eva moves aside to where she's standing next to Kelly as David and his parents leave

"he's outside the door waiting" Eva whispers in Kelly's ear with a worried look on her face and scared tone of voice

Kelly turns her head towards Eva in shock

"you may be dismissed now if you'd like" the principal says catching Eva and Kelly's attention as they look back toward them

"when did he find out?" Kelly says whispering to Eva as they whisper to each other back and fourth while the kid is sitting and looking at them curious of what's going on

"I think about a month ago or sometime near that I had the kid run away before he could come but when he found he was gone he left for a few days and came back angry" Eva whispers as Kelly's face expression turns to shock

"well I'm glad to know I made him mad but he was mad because he had found me and then lost me again but he knows what college I go to" Kelly whispers

"the kids not safe with and he certainly isn't safe with not only that but your not safe either especially if he followed you here" Kelly whispers

"he didn't follow me he made me come here so that he can get to the boy" Eva whispers

"none's safe here right now then" Kelly whispers as she looks at the door trying to think of a plan

just a second later the door slams open as Aaron steps inside as everyone looks at him in shock

"what happened I got here as fast I could" Aaron says walking up to Kelly grabbing her shoulders

"I'm sorry, may I ask who you are?" the principal says looking at Aaron in shock

Aaron lets go of one shoulder but keeps a tight grip on the other as he turns to look at the principal

"I'm very sorry sir, I got a call from Eva and decided to come and make sure things are ok" Aaron explains

as Aaron explains Kelly looks over to Eva and whispers to her as she hands her her phone

Eva hands the phone to the boy

"run as far as you can and don't stop until you get to safety then call Sean to get you" Eva whispers to the boy as she hands him the phone

Aaron finishes up talking with the principal Kelly watches as the boy runs out and Eva slams the door behind just as Aaron starts to run to him

"leaving so soon, but you haven't even heard what happened?" Kelly says with a cocky tone to Aaron as his expression turns to anger as Kelly takes his hand off her shoulder and sits him down in the chair

"well while you let him know what's going on we will go catch the kid" Kelly says backing up towards

Aaron looks behind him at Kelly with and angry look on his face as he mouths something

"I wont let you get away this time"

"you don't tell me what to do" Kelly mouths back

"and please inform on every last detail" Kelly says before opening the door

"well then ill see you next time principal" Kelly says as she grabs Eva and starts to run closing the door behind her

"it seems he got to impatient huh?" Eva says as they run down the hallway

"this reminds of the old times" Eva says

"well then lets see how fast you've gotten" Kelly says as she speeds up letting go of Eva's hand as Eva follows behind

they reach the school gate and continue to run away from the school

Eva and Kelly run far enough and stop at a nearby café to stop for a while

Kelly and Eva sit at a table in the back away from windows as they watch Aaron run by a couple minutes later

"let me borrow your phone for a minute" Kelly asks as Eva hands her her phone

Kelly calls her phone as someone on the other side picks up

"hello?" as a voice comes from on the other side of the phone

"who is this?" Kelly says with a worried tone in her voice

"oh my gosh thank goodness your ok Kelly, its me Sean the kid called me off your phone sounding like he was out of breath and has been crying so I was worried something happened" Sean says as he's walking with the kid on his back

"where are you?" Kelly asks in a serious tone

"I'm a block away from the school, why what's going on?" Sean asks just as Aaron speeds past him towards the direction of the school

"you know if your not gonna make it back to school you shouldn't leave the campus in the first place" Sean says talking to the guy who just passed him

"huh?" Kelly says in a confused tone

"not you, some guy just ran past me" Sean says

"what did they look like?" Kelly says with a serious and worried tone

"um looked like he had black hair with longed sleeved shirt but his sleeves are rolled up" Sean explains trying to recall what he looked like

"I need you to turn around and head towards sunlight's base now!" Kelly says standing up and slamming her hand on the table as she yells over the phone

"don't ask questions just go and run" Kelly says interrupting Sean

"ill meet you there" Kelly says before hanging up the phone and handing it back to Eva

Sean puts his phone in his pockets before turning around and running towards sunlight's base just as it begins to rain

Kelly and Eva run out of the café getting soaked from the rain as they start running down the street
