CHAPTER 2: THE BEGINNING

The scent of blood overwhelmingly covered the little home from corner to corner it felt as if they could feel the affliction their siblings were forced to endure. In that moment Saburo heard nimble foot steps coming from behind, fearful and full of rage he grabs a kitchen knife hoping to avenge his siblings, but before he could even react the sound vanished. Great silence loomed the forest not even the birds made a single sound, suddenly all their angry and fear left their bodies the wind became peaceful and calm the sun rose and spread its brightness across the forest. Naturally the boys wondered what could cause such a change in the atmosphere turning around hesitantly they cast their eyes upon a man dressed in a pure white uniform with the word Ochitsuita written on his back. He spoke in a calm and soft tone, his voice so calm it would silence the raging sea. Telling the boys that his sorry for arriving late, that he should have been there earlier so that he could have protected their family. Seeing the blank and scared look on the boys face made him feel a pain he thought he had long forgotten, he introduced himself as Yasuo but there was one thing Ryota found outlandish about this man. On the right side of his waist there was a katana covered with black and blue and kuchikukan written on the bottom of the blade. Ryota stands in front of his two younger brothers telling them to stay behind him Ryuu and Saburo were confused by Ryota's sudden behavior. Yasuo instantly understood what was going on, he then went on to explain that he is a person who specializes in killing demons and that he is a high ranked swordsmen in the demon killing organization called Sessho-seki. In anger Saburo jumps at Yasuo throwing a punches screaming that if he had just shown up earlier, if he had just been here on time his family would still be alive. While Yasuo effortlessly dodges his attacks he replies vaguely saying Saburo's claim is in fact not true. He then tells them that even if he had arrived a day before the demon nothing would have changed instead he would have been dead with them, he goes on to say that he can still feel the demons presence, but he left hours ago, this was no regular demon this was the one known to have created all demons. The demon king Yokai. In great shock the boys tremble and fall to the floor, Ryuu doesn't believe that a character from a story book would be real, Ryuu then asks him that in spite of knowing that he would die he still came. Yasuo responded with a simple statement that made them all admire him "Yes, because it is my duty to protect those who need protecting." Moved and inspired by his strong words the boys asked for training so they could join the ranks of Sessho-seki. Yasuo told them a about an old man who was once a high level swordsmen who live one top of the Aokigahara. Yasuo told them to travel there and to tell the old man that he sent them for swordsmen training. They buried what was left of there family swearing that they will stop Yokai and his reign of terror.
