1 The day a snowflake fell (1)

The night was very peaceful. The cold wind was drifting gently amidst the old spruce houses and the lanterns illuminated the central street with their soft light. The sounds of crickets could be heard along with the refreshing smell of winterberry which was permeating through the cold night.

This small beautiful town was located just four hours away from the capital, which was also known to all as 'The City of Law'. The capital of Euphoria could only be described as a bustling and prosperous place that was visited by thousands of people from many faraway lands and nations every single day. The clash between cultures and the rapid development of society both portray the uniqueness of this specific city whose appearance stands like a newborn star amongst boundless darkness.

There were also many occurrences around it's surrounding cities ranging from the rapid facilitation of trade between some neighbouring countries to the development of art and literature. The nice improving condition and the growth of opportunities in big cities have caused an immense rise their population, but that has sadly left some of the local towns surrounding these cities desolated and barren.

However, Aurora was different from these abandoned villages. Due to it's position near the mountains, this isolated town wasn't frequented by many people, but still managed to retain it's small amount of residents. This could be attributed to it's peaceful and calm surroundings and nature which provided comfort that could not be found in the crowded and noisy streets of big cities. However in this beautiful and peaceful place, an exciting event was about to take place tonight.

Around four o'clock of the winter night, snow started descending upon the quiet village. It was during this particular night that a certain house was brightly beaming near the end of town. This was the recently constructed home of the newlywed Snowfall family. They had chosen Aurora as their home due to its serene ambiance and beautiful rural nature.

Emily Snowfall was already pregnant with a child when she first moved here with her husband Ethan Snowfall at the end of the previous winter. For the past nine months Ethan was taking care of all his wife's needs while both of them were excitedly waiting for the arrival of a small new family member.

At exactly 04:44 that night, cries of a newborn child could be heard from the Snowfall's family home. The gentle and soft snow had unexpectedly turned into a frightening blizzard. The uncertain life of Michelle Snowfall had begun.
