Episode 13

The morning sun shone on Amanda's face through the opened curtains in her room waking her up. She looks at the yellow, round with an apple theme, clock which was above the door hung on a rusty nail which was hit into the wall. Both the long and short hands of the clock were on 6 indicating 6:30am. Amanda jumps out of her bed hurriedly noticing she had overslept. She was quite tired when she went to bed. She watched after Mia until it was midnight when she felt she had to retire to her room to get some rest. She quickly washes her face and teeth and went out of her room. She ran out of her room like she was being chased. She almost bumped into Grandma Felicia who is now her usual self and well dressed.

“Sorry. Good morning, mother" Were the only words Amanda said to Grandma Felicia before dashing into the kitchen.

By 7:30am, Amanda had prepared breakfast and has served Grandma Felicia. After serving her, Amanda excuses herself from the dining table.

“I will be back" Amanda said
