Chapter 3

"Mia dear you dont have to worry, your father wants you to come with us," the men said. Mia looked at the men and said, "my father didn't raise a fool you know." The men looked puzzled for a second before saying, "but he really did call for you," men said.

"I dont believe you, I have known him all my life and never has he introduced you as friends," Mia said. The men's eyes widened and one chuckled, "so he was right, after all, you will not come with us willingly," the man siad.

"If you come with us, you will see your dear mother again," the men said but Mia only heard her fathers words in her head. "Prove that my mother is still alive, besides my father warned me about your society. You lie you cheat and in the end, you enjoy hurting others," Mia said.

The men laughed and Mia looked around her. She noticed her uncles face and then the lady's face but she also realised both exits were blocked. "Wait your all in on this?" Mia suddenly asked.

Her uncle's eyes grew wide and asked, "my dear how did you ever guess," he said. Mia looked around and said, "you a dead giveaway, blocking the only to exits in the room," Mia had an idea how to get out and it is a skill she figured out on her own and her parents didn't know about this one because she was going to show it to her father the day after they were taken. Mia looked around and saw a window in the sealing.

She used her ability to shake the building's foundation and then used her wind ability to float to the roof. Everyone was shocked when the glass broke and Mia found her way out.

"Catch that girl," a woman shouted but Mia was already down on the ground running towards the forest. She flew over the fence and landed safely on the other side of the road. Mia knew one thing and that is how to survive when things got difficult.

Mia found herself drinking water from a fountain when she looked up and realised she didn't have a plan or anywhere to go. "That's how they are planning on catching me?" Mia said out loud, I don't think so," Mia said.

At first, she didn't know what to do but the more she thought of a plan the more she remembered a childhood friend of hers. The girl's father and her mother once had a conversation about her and the fact her parents were keeping her a secret from the world.

Mia saw a map and studied it for a while. "I am not sure why but for some reason I think I should try going there first maybe this man will know if my mother has more than one brother.

She knew she would have to travel on foot for days. But after several weeks of travelling on foot she finally arrived in the town she was born and raised in for several years. Her father never planned for her to live life in isolation but after discovering her power they had to do what was best for her and Mia understood that now more than ever.

It didn't take Mia long to work out what street her friend's father stayed on but was shocked to discover that it laid in ruins. Mia explores the home for any pictures or sign of something that might be useful but it was no use.

Mia was sitting on a bench just outside a petrol station still not sure what to do. "I can't take them all on by myself, for one it's stupid and two it's useless to even try," Mia said but then Mia saw a newspaper article. Three men standing next to each other but what caught her eye was that the article mentioned her mother's name along with the fact that she had another uncle.

"I wonder if that was the man who I was supposed to contact," Mia said out loud. She kept on reading the article but couldn't learn anything useful other than the fact that they rescued a small girl from the hand of an organization that tried to kidnap her.

"Lady if you're going to read that article pay for it first," the shop owner shouted. "Tell me do you know anything about this man in the centre," Mia asked. "What about him do you want to know?" the man asked. "Well, I was wondering if he is the man on the rights brother and if so do you know how I can reach him?" Mia asked taking a chance.

"Why do you need to reach him?" the shop owner asked. "it's just really important that I reach him," Mia said again. "Look I can not help you so please just leave," the man said. "Okay thank you anyway," Mia said as she left the store. That night she saw the men coming into the town and she knew they were on to her.

She found herself wondering why on earth her parents did not tell her who she could trust in case they went missing but it was no use crying over spilt milk now. Mia decided to head deep into the forest away from the town. She decided to make things really difficult for anyone that dared to follow her. She arrived at a small campsite late in the evening and slept there for the night. The next morning she was busy drinking water when a man in a truck stopped next to her and got out.

"You are far away from your home my dear," he said. Mia looked up and recognised her mother's friend. "I wish my mom listened to you when you tried to warn her," Mia said.

"You remember that conversation?" he asked. "Yes I do, are you okay I went to visit your old home but the house was burned down," she said. "You were looking for me?" the man asked suddenly Mia heard the sound of another car approaching and for a second she found herself thinking if she should stay or run.

She took a deep breath and said, "Yes I am not sure what to do mom and dad has been taken and my uncle was one of the men behind their disappearance. Mom said if something happend to her I was supposed to call his number but it ended up being a trap and I am not sure where to go. I think she has another brother since I read it in a newspaper but I dont think he knows about me," Mia said.

"This is what I warned your mother about are the men still chasing you?" the man asked. "Yes they travel faster in cars so they might be here already," Mia said. The man took out the radio and said, "control come in." A female voice came over the radio asking what the problem was, "get Mike we have a problem on our hands," the man said over the radio.

"Mike wants to know what the problem is?" the voice said. "There's news about his sister and tell him his brother is back," the man said. Seconds later his phone rang and the voice asked, "what is the news Sam?" he asked.

"I am sorry to inform you but your sister and her husband have been kidnapped but their daughter escaped and according to her your brother is involved," Mia could hear the voice was really quiet are you sure the girl belongs to my sister and her husband?" came the voice.

"Yes I discovered who she was when she was small but your sister said she would talk to you about it but by the sound of your voice I take it she never spoke to you," Sam said. Mia looked around and spotted the men walking slowly towards them and realised she had to think fast but as she was trying to think of a plan she heard her father say, "never use your power out of fear, it can harm people," her father said.

Mia was felt a wind against her face and her instincts drove her to use her power. She created a wall of water and let it go creating a massive flood. "Control Mia control, her father used to say and Mia calmed down. She stopped the flood and noticed the men were really far down the mountain.

She looked at Sam who looked shocked at her. Mia was about to talk to Sam when she felt a wind around her again but she used her own wind to force it back. Using her water element she created pure ice and soon the water turned to ice. "This is a nature reserve young lady?" Sam said. "They want me and I do not trust them, mister," Mia said.

Mia touched the ice and it melted making the ground muddy, "happy now?" Mia asked. "That makes travelling this road even harder but it might slow them down get in," he said. Mia got into the truck but the truck's radio kept hurting her ears.

"What is wrong Mia?" Sam asked. "super hearing," Mia said. Sam raised an eyebrow and asked, "how many elements do you have?" mom said I had what most would describe a rainbow element it means," but before Mia could finish Sam answered. "that there is no limit to what you can do, no wonder those men chased you. What were your parents thinking raising you so far from us," Sam said. He was angry Mia could tell but she was exhausted from all the running.

Sam was still talking but Mia found herself fast assleep. When Sam stopped his truck to open the gate he noticed Mia was fast assleep. He drove quietly when he stopped in the garage Mike was waiting for them.

"Your sister identified her power as a rainbow element and according to Mia and what I can confirm your brother has something to do with this kidnapping. She had to outrun them, I just wish I shouted at your sister a little harder. Mia went to your brother thinking she would be save there but it turns out she might have found out who is behind the kidnappings," Sam siad.

"Where is she, Sam?" Mike asked. "Assleep I had to switch off the radio, the noise from the radio hurt her ears," Sam said. "Super hearing and what else can she do that you noticed, good sight, water, fire, earth, wind and she can combine them to get even stronger power.

"What did she do?" Mike asked. "Well we had three seasons on the main road behind us and the road is gone," Sam said. "You didn't stop her?" he asked. "I was talking to you and she was looking at them," Sam said.
