life's party part one

Location: The Auction

POV: First

I stepped out of the car I was driving and was met by a valet. I gave him the keys and made my way in.

Getting to the door the guards asked for my invitation and I gave them the letter i found in the apartment.

Inside was a large waiting room with food and beverages. I was told to wait in here until the auction starts. I am kinda hungry. I didn't get to eat as much as I wanted because of the preparations I needed to do.

The only bad side of my body is the amount of food that I need to eat for me to feel full.

As I was walking to the food table I took notice of my surroundings. Each entrance and exit from the waiting room has at least 3 guards at it. I am guessing that the more heavily guarded the area the more they don't want you to go there.

If I have enough time after the fight I might explore and see if I can find anything cool.

It took about half an hour for the thing to start. I grabbed a number and headed to a seat in the back. When everyone was seated the lights lowered and a man came out onto the stage.

"Welcome esteemed guest and thank you for coming. As you all know this auction is going to be the largest one of the year, so let's get right into it." The man announced.

A panting was rolled out onto the stage. "First up is one of the only paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci to survive the dark ages. It is the Mona Lisa. Now the starting bid is 500 million and it goes up in increments of 25 million. Do we have 500 million?"

"Here"

"We have 500 million. Do we have 525 million?"

As the auctioneer was about to call the bid a voice came from the back, "700 million."

The voice was of a woman. Turning around I saw a masked woman just like everyone here, but she had blond hair that seemed familiar. I don't know why but it did.

Ignoring the strange sense of familiarity, I waited for the middle of the auction to come. As it was approaching my phone went off.

I had set up some cameras around the area just in case anyone escaped. The motion sensor on said cameras was going off. Usually, it would be an animal, but I set it up to only vibrate when a person passed by them.

I took a sneak peek at my phone and it shows that a group of heroes was surrounding the place.

'Holy fuck! How in the hell did they find out about this? Well now that I think about it, it would be weirder if the heroes didn't know about it. I need to make some changes to the plan, but everything is still the same.

I waited for them to take out the guards and all get inside the wall before I blew it sky high.

BOOOOM!

And just like that every one of the escape passages that can be used by foot had been sealed.
