49 Sports Festival Part-6

AN:- I am very sorry to all of you that it took me this long to upload the next chapter, well I was facing some health issues for a month straight but now I'm fine so here I am with a new chapter, hope you all enjoy this chapter.

The students gathered once more before the stage where Midnight stood waiting. "Now that we're all here, it's time to present the final event!" The screen rolled through a dozen possibilities before settling on a 1v1 tournament. "And now, here are the matchups!"

The matchups showed on the screen, some were the same as the cannon while some were different.

(AN:- I will not narrate the cannon fights, go watch the anime if you want to see those fights)

Midnight announced that Izuku and Shinso would be fighting first and all the contestants went to the stands where their class would be sitting.

"You do you think will win" Momo asked Izaya who is sitting next to her.

"Izuku" Izaya said not showing any interest in the fight at all

Momo was about to ask why he isn't interested in the upcoming fight but before she could the match started.

Everyone watched the match with excitement except for Izaya, he already knew what was gonna happen anyway. The match ended up the same as the cannon with Izuku breaking his fingers.

It was after this match that Izaya showed Intrest.

'This match should be interesting He thought.

The next match is between Anri and Todoroki, this match is new to Izaya, and he wanted to know where does Anri stands against someone like Todoroki.

Both contestants were called into the arena, they stood in front of each other, Todoroki looked more serious than usual.

"Are both contestants ready?" Midnight asked

In response, they both nodded.

"START"

As she said start Anri used her lasers to move to the side probably thinking that Todoroki will send a stream on ice, however, Todoroki just stood there in his place looking down.

"WHAT IS THIS, WHY ISN'T TODOROKI ATTACKING" Present Mic said

'Damn it Shoto, just stop this Rebellion already' Endeavor thought

Anri seeing this as a chance dashed to attack him, however, at this moment Todoroki conjured a huge Ice that he sent towards Anri.

Anri anticipated this attack on time jumped backward and used her lasers to fly and dodge to the side.

'I need to compose myself, I can't use this amount of Ice without drawbacks' Todoroki thought.

While Todoroki was composing himself Anri fired some laser shots towards him, however, he anticipated this and created an Ice wall to block her attack, the wall blocked the attack but shattered as well.

Todoroki understood that she is an opponent to take seriously, so far only two students have been able to shatter his Ice.

Todoroki then jumped to the side to avoid another barrage of laser shots coming his way, he then send some streams of small ice spears to attack Anri.

'It will be much faster if I use my fire' Todoroki thought

But as soon as this thought came to his mind it soon disappeared, he mentally scolded himself for thinking this, but then another thing crossed his mind. 'Don't live in your past'

At this point a laser hit Todoroki in his right hand, while all these thoughts were going into his head he got, even more, angrier, the whole arena started to envelop into ice, the floor froze and then ice spikes rose up from the ground.

Anri jumped to avoid the ice spikes coming at her from every side, then pillars of ice rose up to entrap Anri from escaping, she channeled the lasers into her legs and arms and rotated her body mid air.

Like a shining blue laser blade, she destroyed the prison walls and spikes around her, she then quickly jumped towards Todoroki to attack him, another ice wall erupted to protect Todoroki from the incoming laser strike, however just as the wall shattered Anri once again spun herself in mid-air and threw a kick towards Todoroki's face.

Todoroki covered his arms in ice to block her kick and sent another stream of ice towards her while she was performing that kick.

She had no choice but to jump back, but not before breaking Todoroki's ice arm.

"THIS IS A CLOSE FIGHT FOLKES, WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN" Present mic said

"This could go either way" Aizawa answered in his usual bored tone

At this point Todoroki had understood, Anri had the advantage of speed, she is not much faster than him but she can stay mid-air, Todoroki can't create Ice in mid-air, he needs to channel his ice from surfaces from his ice side, so there is only one option left.

'Defeat her in one gigantic attack'

Anri once again dashed to attack Todoroki with her lasers but when she was about to reach him she felt the surrounding temperature drop much more than before, it dropped to the point that her lasers couldn't keep her warm, she was about to increase the intensity of her lasers when a huge chunk of Ice erupted in the area.

The Ice covered the entire arena, this one was bigger than the cannon one that Todoroki used against Sero, Anri was trapped inside the Ice while Todoroki stood there panting from the excessive use of his Ice side.

The whole crowd watched this with widened eyes, even the teachers watched this in amazement, the students were shocked to their core as well.

Everyone had their mouths open wide by the sheer amount of Ice Todoroki generated, everyone except for one, that is Izaya of course.

Once again Bakugo was shocked after seeing Todoroki's performance, only one thought in his mind.

'Would I be able to destroy this'

"Anri isn't able to move, the victor of this round is Shoto Todoroki"

Everyone's Daze was broken by Midnight when she said this, and a few seconds later the crowd cheered for Todoroki's victory.

"I'm telling you Endeavor's son gonna win this, do you really think that Izaya kid can do something like this" A random civilian said

"Yeah, I'm starting to think that myself"

"I still think Izaya's gonna win, he already won the first two rounds"

"He won the first two rounds because had the ability advantage and Todoroki couldn't use his powers but in an all-out battle Todoroki's power is definitely higher and he hasn't used his full power" the civilian explained

"What makes you so sure that Izaya has used his full power, he could also have a trump card"

"We'll see"

The crowd continued their discussions on who will win this match, or the whole sports festival while the arena was being set for the next matches.
