Chapter 30 - Growing Up XXI

"You're finally back!" said Momo, running over and hugging Ikiru. Ikiru grabbed Momo who jumped on him and hugged him. "I missed you too, Momo," Ikiru said with a smile. Momo punched Ikiru in the chest and said, "Why didn't you answer my messages? Do you know how much I've been worried about you? A year and a half... every day," Momo said, her voice dropping near the end of her sentence. She almost said something she shouldn't have said. "I had things to do. I'm here now, that's what matters," Ikiru said, rubbing Momo's back. At the same time, he was looking into the eyes of Mikasa, who was watching him like a hawk. Mikasa's eyes were full and her eyebrows were furrowed. Even though she had met Ikiru at the airport, she had forgotten that Momo was waiting to spoil their moment at the Mansion. When she saw Momo jumping on Ikiru as soon as they arrived at the mansion, she was upset.

It all started when Ikiru reached a new level of control. At the age of 12.5, at the new limit he reached, he had acquired a new ability. His new ability was 'Healing'. He could heal himself or others using his psychic energy. Of course, to use the ability better, he also used another ability, scan. By using these two abilities together, he could theoretically heal all diseases. That's why Ikiru decided to travel the world. His confidence had increased with his new ability.

With the increase in his control level, he had not only gained a new ability. He had also gained an increase in power. The limits of his current abilities had doubled. The zone's limit increased to 1.6 kilometres in diameter. The weight he could lift with his telekinesis was 625 tonnes. He was already very strong. But with Momo opening up to Ikiru, that possibility disappeared. As a result, Ikiru had to accept Momo's feelings.

Of course, this caused a bigger storm to arise. Through Levi, Mikasa spied on Momo whenever she was alone with Ikiru. When she saw the situation, she had to restrain herself not to kill Momo. However, when she saw what happened afterwards, she lost control. Seeing Ikiru accept Momo's feelings devastated Mikasa. Of course, it was only until the evening. That same evening, Ikiru had a long talk with Mikasa and calmed her down. They had a long talk about what happened and what they had to do.

Ikiru did not want to deceive Mikasa. But Momo had too many beautiful things to give up. Wealth was not so important. Quirk and intelligence were the things that made her valuable. This happened before Ikiru was 12.5 years old. After he had awakened his new ability, they had another discussion. This time Ikiru wanted to travel the world alone. Of course, this loneliness meant that Levi would accompany him. Levi was spread all over the world. He couldn't hide from his eyes as long as he was on the borders of the world. Mikasa was determined not to accept this request no matter what. Of course, that resolve was broken when Ikiru whispered in her ear, "When I return... we make love." Mikasa was ecstatic when she heard that. She had been waiting so long that she was at her limit. She had waited so long to hear those words. Finally hearing it made her accept everything.

He was also testing his power during his trip. He was fighting Quirk users in different countries and communicating with spirits. Cursed spirit attacks were still happening to him. However, his power had reached such a level that nothing could stand against him, like the person he inherited his power from. Ikiru had developed the Kitsune especially well before he set out on his journey. With his Curse Power ability, it wasn't that difficult to improve the Kitsune. In its original form, the Kitsune was now twenty metres tall. It could now speak and divide itself. This allowed her to protect both Mikasa and Momo. So Ikiru could travel the world with peace of mind.

Since Ikiru was about to turn 14, he had to stop his travelling early. In order to increase his level of control, he did not stop his training even on his trip. As always, it would take him a year and a half to reach the new level. But this time he could feel something different in his power. That's why he decided to return early from his trip. This brings us to the moment when Momo hugged Ikiru. Ikiru was surprised to see Momo. Because before going on the trip, he had told Momo about his mother's conditions for their relationship. Momo gladly accepted the conditions. Too bad she didn't realise the truth. Mikasa never compromised in her training with Ikiru.

And that was despite her love for Ikiru. Mikasa loathed Momo. Her training was simply hell. Momo had accepted this training with gritted teeth. She wanted to be Ikiru's wife no matter what. Mikasa gave Momo not only physical and Quirk training. She also taught her about her position in the family. When Momo learns that Ikiru and Mikasa were having an affair, she was surprised to the point of losing her mind. However, there was not the slightest disgust in this surprise. She had seen many oddities in their social status. Momo was helped in this understanding when her mother told her about the marriage proposals she had received. Even though she was a child, she was being proposed to by men her grandfather's age. For this reason, Momo was not disgusted by what Mikasa told her.

However, she could not fully accept it. The hellish training Mikasa had put her through had hardened Momo. She was no longer the delicate beauty Ikiru had left behind. As Mikasa trained Momo, she made her see the dark side of the world. It started with seeing these underground criminals and progressed to committing murder. Momo was saddened to learn that she was Ikiru's, second woman. But when she heard the truth about Ikiru from Mikasa, her doubts were completely dispelled. Mikasa was not only trying to teach Momo her place but also to teach her not to betray the Ackerman.

This meant that Momo watched a video of Ikiru's '????' mode. Momo would never forget what she saw for the rest of her life. Even if Momo hadn't seen that and even if she hadn't received Mikasa's hell training, she would have accepted Ikiru's relationship with Mikasa. She loved Ikiru that much. And she was well aware that this world had gone mad long ago. That's why Momo absorbed everything Mikasa taught her like a sponge. She accepted her future position, she agreed to be Ikiru's second wife. Most importantly, she agreed to be Mikasa's assistant. As much as Mikasa loathed Momo, she knew Ikiru wanted her. So she decided to accept Momo for Ikiru's sake. This led to her torturing Momo and raising her. But Mikasa had to accept it, the girl had potential.

So on the day, Ikiru returned, Momo looked different. She was 5'7" tall, her hair was in a ponytail but straight. He had some muscles on his body. This was a great achievement, considering the capacity of Momo's fat cells. Ikiru was still looking at Mikasa as he patted Momo on the back. "That's enough Momo. Now leave us alone, Ikiru belongs to me this week!" said Mikasa, her voice stern. Momo shivered at Mikasa's voice and immediately broke away from Ikiru's hug "Understood, ma'am!" said Momo giving a military salute. She turned around and went to the limousine controlled by Levi to go to the Yaoyorozu mansion. Of course, she didn't forget to wink at Ikiru on the way.

"I see the training was successful," Ikiru said, amusement in his voice. Ikiru's appearance had changed a lot. He had grown taller, he was now 5'10". His hair was not as dishevelled as it used to be. It was parted and combed on the right side. The muscles of his body were more defined and bulging. The lines of his face were sharpened and he was closer to becoming a man. He was now beginning to pass from boyhood to young man. He wore a white uniform jacket that ended at the sleeves. The jacket had two gold buttons on the neck and on the left breast. He wore blue trousers and white long-necked shoes. On his back, he carried a flat katana. This katana was filled with powerful curses by him.

"Let's talk about this later!" Mikasa said excitedly, spreading her arms to her sides and waiting for Ikiru to pick her up. With Ikiru's growth, he was the same height as Mikasa. So he easily picked her up and held her like a princess. They kissed all the way to the bedroom. After getting rid of the clothes, Mikasa was lying on her back on the bed. Ikiru was on top of her with his hands intertwined kissing Mikasa. He broke the kiss and whispered in her ear as he kissed Mikasa's neck "I want you, Mika!".
