Chapter 42 – The Fall of Endeavor (part 1)

Knockout's POV

Some Days Later

It was finally the weekend, the first week of school had finished, more peacefully than it had started, and, fortunately, there had been no other incidents when I was there. The one day I didn't have class, thus wasn't there, reporters had apparently broken into U.A., but I trusted Nezu to have dealt with it, there was no reason for me to get involved.

I had taught each class a minimum of once, but was most impressed but 3-A, more specifically the Big Three. They bore their name very well, that's all I could say, they would probably enter the Top Ten in the hero leaderboard fast after they graduated, especially if they stayed a team.

I was also happy to notice that Neito, my cousin, was less arrogant than before and behaved quite politely, he was much more pleasant now than he was when he was young. He was still very competitive, though, but that wasn't a bad thing. The rest of his class also had a lot of potential.

But the good news didn't end there! Shoto Todoroki had accepted (more had been convinced by Dabi) to move into U.A., so when his father would be 'exposed' for everything he did, he would have a place to stay at. The young hero in training had also tried to make friends, and succeeded, class 1-A was mostly a very nice and sociable bunch of students.

That meant that there was nothing preventing me from exposing Endeavor now, I had made arrangements with his other children as well, but they were older and mostly distanced from their father, so it was less troublesome.

Now, I could execute my "End of Endeavor" plan, which consisted of Knockout beating him in a fight, to prove that he was stronger, than I would deliver him to the police and expose his crimes.

The reason I was doing things like this was to show the populace that there was someone who could and would replace Endeavor, they would be less worried that way.

Maybe I was too harsh on Endeavor, but I doubted that, I had no mercy for child abusers, and he was one. Also, it would send a message to every other bad heroes that I, Knockout, would be coming for them and no one could prevent from doing so.

Also, since Endeavor's crimes were (legally speaking) not too grave and that he was a hero with a lot of influence and money, he would probably only be forced into early retirement, lose his hero license and have to pay a pension to his wife and children for a long time, but there would be no prison time, or other consequences. I doubt there would even be a trial, so I good beating would also serve as his punishment.

.

And thus, here I was, on a rooftop near a spot that Endeavor often patrolled, waiting for him to show up on his daily patrol. It was a small street, not an alley, though, and most buildings here were abandoned, and I had evacuated every other civilian already. The perfect location for a fight that would be extremely destructive.

Although, I had to admit that Endeavor was doing quite a good job as a hero, he was the hero who arrested the most villains in all of Japan, more than All Might himself, since All might only had three hours a day. But I, Knockout, was catching more than twice more villains than him, since I didn't need legal proof like the heroes and had more information than them.

After a little while, the flaming hero finally showed up, not noticing me yet, so I jumped a couple meters in front of him, in a fighting stance.

Why didn't I just ambushed him? Simple, there were several cameras around here and I wanted to show the world that I had defeated him in a "fair" way, using no underhanded tricks. Normally, I would've just ambushed him and be done with it, but this wasn't a normal circumstance, I needed to show everyone that I was more powerful than him.

Also, I was more than confident to defeat him, thanks to all the new quirks I had gotten since the last time I fought him and a new one I had bought recently.

Blink (895): Allows user to instantly exchange places with one of his fingers.

It was a totally useless quirk for a normal person, but still was quite costly because it did allow teleporting, which was very strong.¸

But it was not useless for me, not in the least, it had given me the final bit of mobility I lacked, as I could now blink pretty much everywhere. The true strength of that quirk, however, was that it was instantaneous and that people couldn't know where I would teleport to, contrarily to my warp gates. That made very useful, even if I already had a warp gate quirk.

Sadly, though, it had delayed me a bit in buying a regeneration quirk, but Blink was a very cheap quirk, so it wouldn't be that long before I could, only a couple of months.

.

Back to my fight, when Endeavor saw me, he didn't even talk, but I guess it wasn't needed anymore, we both knew that we would fight. The last time we had fought against each other was a couple of years ago, and it had ended in a draw, but this time would be different. I would win.

He threw a gigantic, blazing fireball at me, but I simply used my new quirk, 'Blink', to appear behind him and punch him in the back, using titanium body and a lot of stockpiled strength to make him feel my punch, a lot.

He was launched across the entire street, crashing through an unoccupied building, leaving a big hole and a trail of fire behind him

Endeavor got up, and started flaming, he was surrounded by blue flames, but this trick wouldn't work on me, not anymore.

Why?

Because blue flames were already close to the limit of how hot Endeavor could go, but it wasn't hot enough, not anymore.

Blue flames were at a temperature of around 1500 degrees (Celsius), but the meeting point of titanium was 1668 degrees (Celsius), he wasn't hot enough anymore, and even if he tried really hard, the maximum he could do was maybe 1600 degrees and it still wasn't enough to make me melt like the last time I had fought him.

Not playing around anymore, Endeavor raised both his fists in the air, before slamming them into the ground, melting the entire street nearly instantly, transforming it into a weird kind of lava.

He knew that it would do absolutely nothing to me, it wasn't hot enough, but it could still impair my movement.

That's what he thought.

I simply teleported behind him again, but he was prepared time this. So was I.

As soon as I blinked behind him, I opened a warp gate from behind him leading in front of him, so when he threw some blue fire javelins at me, it literally backfired on him.

At the same time, I kicked him, and, as my warp gates worked in both senses, he ended receiving the kick to his face, breaking his nose and making him stagger a bit.

He was completely mindf*cked for a split second, but it was all it took for me to close both warp gates and kick him again, with my other leg, launching him back through another warp gate, this one leading a couple of meters away from me.

Then I blinked again, kicked him through other even wore warp gates which led to even more warp gates, which led to me blinking again, etc. Also while breaking a couple of his bones in the process.

I think you see a pattern here.

It was a new fighting style, which utilized the fact that I had three separate train of thoughts and my many quirks to open so many warp gates and launch my opponent through them to confuse them and not leave them any time to react or adapt.

It worked perfectly, there were over ten gates opened at all times, dispersed through the street and you could see Endeavor sometime getting out of one of them, quickly launched into another, as I blinked near him and punched or kicked him.

It was both hilarious and sad to witness.

After a couple of highly enjoyable seconds of this, I had to stop at my quirk was getting exhausted very fast, opening dozens of warp gates this fast was extremely tiring.

When I stopped launching him around plush, he only took a moment to regain his bearings and he was enraged, his face was distorted in an expression that strangely resembled Bakugou's.

He exploded in blue flames, everything around me, including the buildings was carbonized, we were now in a hell scape, straight out of a Doom game.

He fired concentrated rays of blue fire in a quick succession at me and I tried to make them go through portals but they were chasing me, so I had to blink away to safety, and moments later, they naturally disappeared and I took this as a cue to go back to my bullying of Endeavor.

I opened a warp gate behind him, which he detected and expected my fist or foot to go through it, trying to hit him, but it was a bait!

I instead teleported near him kicked him in the leg so hard it broke in a sickening 'crack'.

He gritted his teeth in pain, trying not to fall to the ground and barely succeeding. Desperate, he used everything he could to create a gigantic fire storm, of blue fire, of course, trying to buy time, but I could tell he was at his wit's ends, he had overused his quirk and was overheating, he was going Plus Ultra and paying the price for it.

Seeing this, I braved the fire, creating a scene straight of an action movie and, arriving near Endeavor and I grasped his head in my hand, before warping out of the fire tornado, at a spot where the street hadn't melted, and slamming his head on the concrete, hard, several times in a row, until I felt him become limp in my grasp. He was unconscious.

I took a look at him and he was in a far worse state than what I had imagined him to be, his entire body was bloodied, he had a broken arm, wrist, leg, jaw and nose, as well as four broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder, probably a concussion and several internal injuries.

I was certain he wouldn't have any lasting injuries, though, so that was that, it would just take him a long time to recover, but he wouldn't need to worry about that, he would have all the time in the world soon.

Looks like I was stronger than I thought I was, because I had used an amount of stockpiled strength that shouldn't've left him in this state. Too bad for him, I guess he learnt his lesson now.

.

Now, it was time to send a message to Japan. I took a picture of Eneavor, lying on the ground, with a mustache drawn on his face and posted it on my social medias, with the caption:

"That's what criminals get. Even if you are a hero, I'll come for you, so watch your back criminals."

Under the caption was a link the lead to a website that revealed, with proof, all crimes that Endeavor had committed over the years, and it wasn't pretty, to say to least.

.

After that was done, I opened a warp gate leading in front of my usual police station, and dropped the bloody Endeavor there, under the absolutely astonished gazes of the officers on the night shift.

.

So that was finally done...

It had been a long time since the Mc fought, and this may have seemed a little one-sided, but the MC didn’t get out unscathed either, and maybe you think the he went too hard on Endeavor, etc. Everything will be explained next chapter, so wait until tomorrow.

There will still be an Endeavor redemption arc, but obviously it will happen differently than in the manga, as Endeavor won’t be a hero anymore.

And yes, the Mc is in the same league as All Might and AFO, so it’s normal he defeated Endeavor, AFO had completely obliterated Endeavor in like 5 seconds in cannon, so…
