Chapter 50

TITLE: Hero Work Studies (1) - The Rabbit Hero, Mirko

It was a sunny day in the city of Hiroshima, Japan, the streets buzzing with activity as various categories of people could be seen walking around.

Sora and Hana were among this crowd of people as they were currently exploring the city, in search of their tutor, Mirko. They had been at it for a couple of minutes now and couldn't help but be frustrated by the fact that this hero didn't have an agency of her own and so their only chance of finding her was if a villain attack took place and it seemed luck was on their side.

*BOOOMMMM!!!!*

A large explosion took place in one of the numerous skyscrapers located in the city turning everyone's attention to where the sound came from, Sora and Hana were no different as they looked up to see what was going on.

Out of the smokescreen created by the explosion came a half-naked man, his head was that of a shark and he had a muscular tone, making him look almost sexy if you replaced the shark head with that of a blonde. He was currently smiling thereby revealing his ferocious teeth. Normally the people wouldn't be scared by this as he looked like your average villain but what made them panic was what was behind him - there were about 10 if not 15 individuals who had the same features as him and that was an issue.

Sora seeing this, stared at Hana and it seemed they had made their decision as they vanished.

"Hahahahaha" The shark at the front laughed, it was clear he was the leader as he said

"Citizens of Hiroshima, the era of peace has come to an end. We're here to restore the chaos of the wars... We are the shark heads hahaha"

"..." 'What an unoriginal name' the people thought as they stared at him blankly. Seeing their lack of emotion, enraged him as he ordered

"You dare mock me! Get 'em, boys!!!"

Immediately, his goons (15 shark heads behind) jumped off the building and dived to the ground, their landing creating miniature craters as they rushed to capture the people but then one of them was kicked straight on the chin throwing him a few feet away as the culprit of the attack landed on the ground.

It was a dark-skinned woman, with long white hair reaching her thighs, two white rabbit ears could be seen on her head as she wore a sleeveless white leotard with purple thigh-high boots - this was none other but the rabbit hero; Mirko. She had a smile on her face as she said in ecstasy

"Look what we've got here... an opportunity to kick some ass"

The shark heads seeing her, trembled. This was an obvious reaction considering she was ranked 5th in the hero charts and just knocked out their colleague with a kick but they didn't back down as they believed that their numbers could overwhelm her but they learned the hard way that all is pointless before true power as they launched themselves at her.

Mirko had a crazed smile as her red eyes shined brightly as she engaged them in battle.

BLINK! In a second she appeared before one and struck him firmly in the gut knocking him out. Without wasting a second, she jumped upward dodging the fist aimed at her and she brought down the hammer on the culprit with a back heel, before she jumped into the herd they joined up together and punched, kicked, and nodded them all unconscious.

In a matter of seconds, she had taken down half of them, making the rest panic as they looked at her with fright in their eyes. She enjoyed their frightened expression as her smile grew wider, she took a battle stance as she prepared to knock them out but suddenly, she jumped backward evading the leader's attack as he decided to join in on the action.

"You've got sharp instincts"

"Hah, I thought you would never come down," Mirko said with a grin as she stared at the Shark's head, he also had a smile on his face as he replied

"Well I couldn't just watch you take down my boys now"

"You make it sound as if you can beat me" Mirko scoffed

"Hmmmmm... I am pretty confident" Shark Head said with a smile before he explained "You see through me and my brothers and have the same physique and all, there's a reason why I'm called the leader"

Immediately, his body expanded in size, gills growing out of his neck and fins appeared out of his elbow and out of his knee too, giving him a menacing look.

"Wow you evolved from a shark head to a pure shark man" Mirko was still relaxed but this didn't get shark head agitated as he said

"You won't be laughing when I'm done with you"

"Bring it on" Mirko taunted him and he bit the bullet as he rushed at her, his mouth agape as though he wanted to swallow her.

Mirko was in a boxing stance as she waited for him to get closer and when she felt he was close enough, she jumped to dodge his mouth and immediately hit him with an elbow but he didn't flinch, this didn't worry Mirko as she switched to a leg lock around his neck. Shark Head seeing this could only laugh as he said

"Hahahaha what are you trying to do? Do you think you can hurt me with that?"

"You never know unless you try," Mirko said as she mustered all her strength and dragged herself to the ground shocking Shark Head as he wondered 'how' but what happened next, shocked him even more as Mirko gritted her teeth and poured all her strength into her arms and legs as she pressed her arm against the ground and squeezed Shark Head's neck with her legs as she lifted him and slammed his head against the ground, effectively knocking him out as all he could see was stars.

"Whew... that made me break a sweat," Mirko said as she sat on the ground but then she noticed the rest of the goons surrounding her, they were petrified with fear causing Mirko to say "Oh guess it's your turn"

Hearing this, the goons decide to run for their lives but before they can get too far, Sora appears knocking out four with a blast while Hana uses exploding blood to knock out the remaining three.

"Ohhhhhh" Mirko said amazed before she pointed at them and asked, "Wow, who are you guys?"

"Hello Mrs. Mirko, we're Zero Two and Tempest from U.A. High. we submitted our internship forms to you recently"

"Ohhhhhh you're those 2 fellas from U.A. So you want to do your internship with me knowing I don't have an agency and I like working alone?"

"Yes" Hana responded with stars in her eyes, she really wanted to learn from Mirko meanwhile Sora just nodded, and he didn't really care.

"Hmmm, I can agree but I have 2 conditions"

"..." The two nodded as they waited to hear her demands so Mirko said

"Firstly, you guys will have to house yourselves, I don't want to be housing kids in my home that's annoying" Sora and Hana agreed, they knew this would happen so Hana informed her father to prepare a place for her so after they got her approval, they will be headed to the mansion

"No problem" Hana replied so Mirko continued

"Alright, the second is..." Mirko stood up with a smile on her face as she finished her statement "You guys will have to fight me, no quirks allowed and if you're able to back me into a corner, I'll consider accepting you guys are disciples"

"Sure" Hana accepted immediately but Sora didn't agree with her as he thought

'You want me to fight without my quirk...? That's suicide, I'm nothing without my quirk'

He was exaggerating but it was not wrong, Sora hardly passed a day without abusing his quirk, he used it to cool himself since for him everywhere was always hot, used it to strengthen his attacks, it was his everything. He didn't believe he was of much use without it and now he had to fight a woman who took down a giant with raw strength without his quirk... yeah, no way they were getting accepted by her but since Hana had already agreed, there was nothing he could do about it.

"Aight, see you kids tomorrow at the Edion Stadium by 9 am, come prepared to die," Mirko said with a smile as she left.

"Yay, we finally met her"

"Yay..." Sora said unenthusiastically, causing Hana to ask "What's wrong, darling?"

"Nothing," Sora said with the same tone. Seeing this, Hana couldn't help but wonder what got him so down as they headed to the mansion prepared for them by Hana's dad.
