54 Chapter 48

TITLE: The strongest in U.A?

Hello guys, it's IAmghost, the author here though you already know that and I have a few words to share before I allow you to read this chapter.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you all for ur support especially some of you who have given me suggestions for my story and actually encouraged me to keep writing, special thanks to david_444 and Swikong for your support and constant help, I really appreciate and to the rest of you guys, thanks for not losing hope in me, love you all.

Secondly, due to the majority of votes going to Sora and Hana working under Mirko, we'll be going with that. It might take some time but I'll make it work and I'll try my best to bring you something you will enjoy so please keep supporting me.

Lastly, I'll be taking my exams next week so I am kinda busy in case I don't release as many chapters as usual now it's because of that but don't worry, I won't be going on hiatus anymore since I now type with my phone so we'll be together for a while.

Three days had passed since the opening ceremony for the 2nd semester, Midoriya was finally back in class since his suspension had ended, but Bakugou wasn't since he was slightly longer.

The students were currently in class as Aizawa said

"Now that Midoriya is back, let's formally talk about the internships. Let's hear firsthand for those who have been in the field how this internship is different from field training."

"These guys have made time in their busy schedule to come and talk to you so please listen attentively. They rank among the top students in U.A. They are known as 'The Big Three'"

And immediately three individuals stepped into the room, leading the three was a boy, he was tall with a muscular figure, his yellow hair and bright smile made him look confident and charismatic. behind him was a girl with periwinkle hair reaching her knees she had a smirk on her face as she looked at the 1A students with curiosity and finally at the end of the line was a guy, he was a tall lean individual with pointed ears, he had messy indigo hair and carried an air of indifference about him.

These were the U.A. big three, Mirio Togata, Nejire Hadou, and Tamaki Amajiki.

The 1A students were amazed seeing them as they looked at them with admiration in their eyes, even Sora looked at them with interest as he thought 'So these guys are the strongest in the school...'

They didn't quite look the part as Amajiki was first to talk, as he stared at them intensely giving them goosebumps but this sound turned to confusion seeing him turn to face the board as he said

"I want to go home"

Nejire thus stepped in and began talking though it was more of her asking the 1A students various questions like "Todoroki how did you get your scar? Ashido if you lose your horns will they grow back? Sora, is your wind always invisible or can you make it visible?"

The 1A students were greatly confused by this and Aizawa couldn't hide his irritation as he said

"I see you all are lacking any sort of rationality"

"Ah Don't worry Eraserhead, I'm the key performer here after all," Mirio said anxiously to stop Aizawa from driving them out before he shouted

"THE JOURNEY AHEAD_!?"

He took a pose leaning himself forward as if to hear a response from them but the room was silent, the 1A students had nothing to say as they wondered what he meant and as if reading their thoughts he said

"You were meant to respond with: WILL BE FULL OF DIFFICULTIES! Well you guys have failed to get the point of the conversation"

"These guys are weirdos, are they the top three in U.A."

"I don't know man"

The students couldn't help but question if these guys really were the top students in U.A. as they murmured. Mirio heard this and addressed the matter as he spoke about how the students were confused about what was going on he was sure they expected to hear them talk about the internships and the like but since it seemed this year's students we're that good and his introduction didn't work out, he made a suggestion

"Why don't you guys team up and fight against me?"

""HUHHH?"" The students were shocked, Mirio thus explained mainly so Aizawa could agree

"It'd make more sense to experience it firsthand rather than sitting down here and listening to some lecture."

"Do what you wish" Aizawa said and thus they headed to the Gamma gymnasium in their sports attire.

All of the students were currently in the gymnasium they really wondered if Mirio was serious about and it seemed he was as he was currently stretching.

"This a bad idea" Tamaki said muttered from the corner before continuing "these kids haven't even fully evolved and reached their full potential so no matter try not to rough them up to the point where they can't stand"

Nejire also commented though she spoke about how he had a hard life as a kid and stuff like that. The 1A students were slightly surprised to hear it all as Kirishima said

"We've had real-life experience too. All this worrying about us, are you guys trying to call us small fry?"

"I'd like it if you take that way, feel free to come at me anytime you want" Mirio said nonchalantly before he asked "so who's up first"

""I'll go first"" Midoriya and Kirishima said at the same time. This surprised Kirishima as he turned to Midoriya but Mirio liked that as he said

"The problem child huh? As I thought you're full of energy"

Midoriya took a battle stance as he activated his quirk, his eyes burning with passion as he relished the opportunity to test himself against one of the best in U.A., he wanted to see how much he had grown in this short time.

The rest of the 1A students stood at the back as they themselves got ready for battle, though Sora and Hana were separate from them as Sora suggested they stay behind and observe before making a move and Hana obviously agreed since Sora suggested it.

And immediately Mirio activated his quirk, causing his clothes to fall off. The girls screamed seeing this and he apologized as he tried to readjust his quirk, Midoriya saw the opportunity and immediately lunged forward with a kick but his attack passed (phased) through him.

Midoriya got an insight to his quirk through the attack but Mirio was unfazed as he said

"Straight to the face huh" but he soon had to hold his breath as the rumble felt at him due to Jiro's quirk.

"He's gone" Iida shouted as he was nowhere to be seen and almost immediately, he appeared behind Jiro, his aim was to take care of the long range dealers.

"He teleported!??" Kirishima asked in shock as he wondered just how strong was his quirk but it was not that his quirk was strong, rather it was his technique that made his quirk strong as he wiped out almost half of the class with one attack. While this happened, Aizawa decided to share his thoughts with the students as he said

"Okay kids, this is a great learning experience for you all so get yourself roughed up a bit. That guy, Mirio Togata is the closest to the becoming the No. 1 and that includes the pros too"

"He took over half of them in an instance... so he's the closest to becoming the No. 1" Todoroki who was close to Aizawa thought out loud, this made Aizawa ask why he wasn't with them and he said it was because he didn't have his license.

"All that's left are the close range ones" Mirio said after he had eliminated the long range dealers but he felt something amiss but he couldn't ponder much on it as he stared at the rest of the 1A students before him and took a battle ready stance, the 1A students seeing him couldn't help but feel he was invincible but that was far from it as all of this was because of how much effort Mirio had put into his quirk, Midoriya also didn't think like this as he said

"There's got to be some trick to it. whether he's using a phasing quirk to teleport or the other way around, whatever it is he'll have to attack us directly. so we have to aim for that moment and counterattack. If we don't understand how he's doing it, we will have to narrow it down the possibilities we know. Either, let's win this"

The rest of the students were impressed with Midoriya's thinking, even Mirio was impressed but with he smirk on his phase he activated his quirk as he phased into the ground and challenged saying

"Try and find it then"

As he disappeared into the ground making them wonder if he was a submarine but he didn't take long as he appeared behind Midoriya. As if predicting this, Midoriya glanced at him as he kicked him, Mirio was slightly surprised by this but he was already prepared as his quirk activated and the kick phased through him and he stretched his fingers to poke Midoriya's eyes causing the latter the close his eyes but this was a faint as his hand phased through Midoriya and he landed on the ground and immediately upon landing, he punched Midoriya's gut as he explained

"Many people have tried to counter me like that so naturally I trained to counter them"

Midoriya was in shock as he fainted to the ground. This surprised the rest of them but Mirio was not letting up as he charged at the rest, taking them swiftly from the back.

"Yay he has really gotten strong eh" Nejire said

"Mirio has always been strong ever since he was a kid" Tamaki replied before he continued his expression serious this time as he said "but the battle isn't over yet"

"POWER" Mirio shouted as he took out the last student and relaxed a little, that was all Sora needed as he appeared behind him, his palm clenched into a fist as he aimed for Mirio's chin, but due to Mirio's instincts raised from various battles, he activated his quirk and thus the attack phased through him and immediately he submerged into the ground before appearing a few feet from Sora, he had a smile on his face as he said

"You almost got me there... Menhera-kun"

"And you have insane instincts Togato-san, guess that's why you're the strongest in U.A."

"Yeah and I guess your skills are why you're called the strongest first year"

"I guess so," Sora said tentatively before he took a battle stance he said

"I humbly ask for your guidance"

"Hah this will be fun"

Everyone watched with excitement, it was now time for an epic battle - the strongest in U.A. vs the strongest first year... Who is going to win?
