34 Chapter 30

TITLE: Internships (3) – Death

Looking at the Nomu headed towards him, Sora's brows furrowed as he took a fighting stance. He had to take this fight seriously, though he could easily end it with a swipe of his hand, he wanted to only use aero telekinesis for this fight to increase the level of the skill.

Whoosh… Sora avoided a strike from one of the Nomu let's call it, N1 but he didn't relax as he propelled himself into the air thus avoiding the punches of the other two Nomu, let's call them N2 and N3.

Fwoooshh…. Bammm… Boom

Sora rushed back down and punched N2 not wasting a second, he turned to N1 and N3, and using aero telekinesis (AT) he lifted both into the air and then shot them at the building thus they collided with N2.

He smiled slightly upon seeing this but he turned back seriously as the 3 Nomu charged at him, N3 who had wings flew high up before rushing down, while the other two dashed forward.

Sora seeing this, lifted 2 huge pieces of debris and shot at the one in the sky while he charged at the ones before him. Arriving before them, he created a staff and targeted their gut.

Bammmmm…

N1 tanked the attack which threw him away but allowed N2 to strike, and the Nomu sent his fist at Sora's ribs but Sora wasn't letting that hit him as he lifted his body into the air thus avoiding the blow before he struck the Nomu's brain with his staff and then he descended to the ground and kicked it's neck thus throwing the Nomu away but Sora didn't take a moment to rest as he changed the staff into a spear and shot it at N3 which was descending from the sky.

Whooosh… Booooooommmm

The spear broke the sound barrier as it hit N3 thus carrying it away before crashing to the ground, successfully pinning it.

Sora sighed as he looked around him, N1 and N2 rising not so far from him, N3 was a few 100 meters away as it tried removing the spear from its gut.

Seeing the state of the Nomu, Sora sighed, this was way too easy. He knew that it was his fault for being op but damn why couldn't the Nomu tank his attacks, but he soon shook his head as he asked himself 'when did I start to like fighting?'

It made no sense in his head, why did he like to fight so much? He thought almost everything to be troublesome but that wasn't the case with fighting, why was that? He wondered but he soon put that thought aside as now wasn't really the right time to do that.

Looking at the Nomu, Sora thought

'Hmm, there's something I always wanted to try in this world but I haven't been able to, should I try it now?'

He was thinking about the instant-kill technique in his arsenal but he soon decided against it as he felt, he didn't really need to use it.

Nodding his head, he shifted his gaze to the Nomu, who somehow looked fiercer, he wanted to charge at them but he had to shift to the side and as he did, he evaded a punch from N1.

'What the fuck!?'

Sora was baffled, how did the Nomu suddenly get faster but he didn't have time to ponder on it as he shot up thus avoiding the attack of N2 from the front and N3 from the back.

Sora didn't bother questioning how they powered up so suddenly as that'll just be stupidity, thus looking at the Nomu below him, Sora's eyes turned cold.

Lifting the debris around him, he reduced the huge ones into smaller rocks and when he had enough, he shot them all at the Nomu but they didn't bother dodging as they tanked the attack.

Sora frowned upon seeing this but he didn't get disheartened as he charged at them. Appearing before N2, he punched the air, creating a shockwave.

Bammmm…

The shockwave swept across the field and pushed N2 away but Sora had to almost lie on the floor just to avoid N3's claws, but that wasn't all as he carried himself with air and threw himself away thus avoiding N1's punch which created a small-sized crater on the ground.

Sora looked at the 3 Nomu and clicked his tongue, something was wrong here. The Nomu suddenly powered up, how did they do that, what was happening, was AFO someone interfering in this battle? He had many questions but he knew he won't be getting any answers.

Realizing this, he sighed and reorganized himself, if they were going to power up then he won't be going easy on them too, his aura changed, now he seemed like a Lion looking at his prey.

Whoooossshhhhh…

Looking at the 3 Nomu standing in the 3 man formation with N1 and N2 in front while N3 stood behind slightly hovering above the ground, he immediately lunged at N2, the Nomus got ready for his attack but they soon grew confused as Sora vanished.

Bammm… Booooommm

N1 felt a stinging pain on its cheek as Sora punched it, the force of the attack threw it away thus causing it to collide with N2, throwing both away.

*Whoosh* Sora avoided N3's claws before surrounding his leg with the wind as he kicked the Nomu, throwing the Nomu a couple of steps back but he didn't let up as he appeared atop the Nomu and punched it straight in the face, thus throwing it to the ground creating a small-sized crater.

He immediately flew into the sky and began creating small balls which soon turned to arrows and they began increasing until they became 100 then he looked at the Nomus which were headed at him. Emotionlessly he waved his hand and the arrows flew at their target, 34 at N1, 33 at N2, and 33 at N3.

Bang… Boommmmm

The arrows broke the sound barrier as they launched at their target, bringing all of them to the ground.

"Well let's end this"

With that said, he immediately appeared in front of N3 and was about to strike but he stopped himself as he noticed a group of people headed his way, using the air he enhanced his vision and when he saw the heroes headed his way, he smiled but this lasted only a second as he looked at the claws headed his way, his eyes turned cold as he finally used that technique.

Gripping the air as though it was a neck, Sora muttered

"De-oxygenation"

Immediately, the Nomu stopped moving and held its neck as it struggled to breathe but it was to no avail as a few seconds later, the Nomu fell to the ground, lifeless.

Moments later, the heroes rushed to the scene, Endeavor to be one of them together with Brainstorm and others.

He walked towards Sora and said "good job, we'll take it from here"

Sora nodded at Endeavor and the hero rushed into action. Turning his head he looked at Brainstorm who appeared by him, the man looked at him and sighed as he said

"We'll talk about it later"

Sora nodded and Brainstorm joined the remaining heroes in battle. Sora seeing this sighed and was about to go but before he did, he looked at the Nomu's corpse, and after a few seconds, he finally realized what he had done, he had just killed someone.

Though the Nomu was more of a monster, it still was human, a bio-engineered one and he had just taken someone else's life just like that, how could he?

Which right did he have to take another's life?

Realizing this, Sora controlled himself from vomiting, he gulped it in as he looked at the Nomu's corpse again he was traumatized and felt disgusted in himself.

He decided to stop looking at it and walk away but as soon as he took a step forward, he felt the energy leaving his body and before he knew it, he was lying on the ground and moments later, his vision became blurry

"*sigh* fuck me…"

Were the last words that left his mouth as he fell unconscious
