14 Chapter 13
TITLE: Quirk test
--- 2 MONTHS LATER ---
Sora could be seen entering U.A
It was the first day of school and Sora smelled trouble as he walked towards his class. He didn't know why but he felt that today will be a massive pain in the ass.
As he walked through he noticed the students murmuring, he enhanced his hearing with wind and heard them saying:
"Wow, isn't that the guy who destroyed the 0-pointer like it was nothing?"
"Yeah, damn he was so cool"
"Kyaaa, he's so handsome"
He couldn't help but pat himself on the back as he complimented himself saying 'good job, good job' sometimes I wonder whether this guy was once 19 years old.
Anyway, he soon arrived before the huge class 1-A. he checked his watch and it read 8:00. He smiled as he thought 'wow I came pretty early' before opening the door.
As he entered the class, the students stopped whatever they were doing and looked at the newcomer. Sora looked around and said to himself 'good nothing has changed…' but soon fell silent when he noticed a pink-haired girl, her head on the table.
He walked towards her and looked at her carefully and couldn't but scream mentally 'WTF! Even if I've lost most of my memories, I still clearly remember the A students, I don't remember any hair this pink in the anime or manga or even fanfic, who is this…?' But before he could muse on it, he heard "what you looking at?" He stopped thinking and noticed her glare.
He laughed awkwardly as he said "oh sorry about that, your pink hair was just so beautiful"
"Yeah right, that's another girl with pink hair there and she even got pink skin so leave me alone"
His brows couldn't help but twitch when he heard this but he calmed himself by saying 'she's just a kid, a kid!'
COINCIDENTALLY, there was a free sit to her side and he took it. She didn't fail to notice this as she said "dude, you're really creeping me out, you sure you ain't a pervert?"
"Yeah sure, think what you want, I don't care." He said while shrugging
The girl laughed hearing this as she said "haha, you're pretty funny. Hana Nakamura, nice to meet you"
"I'm…" before he could finish they heard
"If you're here to make friends, you can just pack up your stuff and go home"
Everyone looked at where the voice came from and noticed a man in a yellow sleeping bag. He said "welcome to U.A's hero course" causing many to scream.
"It took you lot 8 seconds to settle down. Time is precious, you kids are lacking in common sense"
Not bothering himself he said "hello, I'm Shota Aizawa, your teacher" this caused many to question his words but he just pulled out a uniform from his bag as he continued "right let's get to it. Wear these and head outside" and with that, he left.
Sora seeing the man leave couldn't help but smile as he thought 'the coolest guy in MHA, Shota Aizawa. This is gonna be a pain!'

Moments later, in the U.A training grounds,
The class 1A students just gathered a moment ago and surprise was colored on their faces as most shouted "quirk apprehension test?"
A certain auburn-haired girl said, "but orientation, we're going to miss it?"
"If you want to make it to the big leagues, you can't be wasting time on pointless ceremonies." The students gasp as he continued "here are U.A, the teachers are given freedom that means I get to run my class anyhow I see fit"
"You've been taking standardized quirks all your lives but you've never gotten to use your quirks in any physical test before," he said while a showed them a device, multiple physical tests noted down before he continued "the country is still trying to pretend we're all created equal by not letting those with most power excel. That's just irrational, one day the ministry will learn"
"Menhera, you managed to get the most points on the entrance exam." Everyone looked at him while Aizawa continued with a question "what was your farthest distance throw of softball in junior high?"
"Uh, I don't remember" Sora replied awkwardly. Aizawa sighed as he said "okay, try doing it with your quirk"
Sora held the ball as he stood in the circle while Aizawa said "anything goes as long as you stay in the circle. Get going, you're wasting time"
Sora sighed as he thought 'see what I mean, I knew getting first place will mean trouble. Anyway, let's see… what am I going to do?'
He soon found the answer as he surrounded the ball with air then compressed it, he then applied wind pressure to the ball until he was satisfied before shooting it and the ball blasted off.
"Know your limits" Aizawa showed the device to them which read '∞' "it's the rational way of figuring your potential of becoming a pro-hero"
"WHOAAAA"
"∞! Seriously!?" A certain Pikachu said
"I wanna go, it looks fun," the yellow horn said
"This is what I'm talking about, using our quirks as much as we want" tape-man made himself known
"So this is fun, huh?" "Huh," the students said back while the guy continued "you have 3 years to become a hero, you think it's just gonna be fun and playtime?"
A smirk formed on his face as he said "idiots. Today, you're going to take part in 8 physical tests to gauge your potential, whoever comes in last will be deemed unfit for the hero course and will be expelled immediately." The students were in turmoil after hearing this but didn't have time to think as they heard "as I said, I get to run this class anyhow I want" raising his head, he showed them his crazed look and smile as he said "understand? If that's a problem, you can head home right now"
Sora was also in turmoil when he heard this as he asked himself 'should I head home or stay?'

The brunette was the first to complain as she said "you can't send one of us home when we just got here, and even if it wasn't the first day, it's just isn't fair"
"Oh, so you think natural disasters are? Or power-hungry villains? Or catastrophic incidents that wipe out whole cities? NO! Life isn't fair and it's our job as heroes to combat that unfairness. If you want to be a pro, you'll have to push yourself to the brink. For the next three years, U.A will throw one hardship after another. So go beyond, Plus ultra-style" his smile bloomed as he made a 'come' motion with his finger while saying "show me, it's no mistake that you're here"
The fire was lit up as everyone showed a determined look (except a certain duo)
"Now then, we're just wasting time while talking. Let's get this show on the road"
Test 1: 50-meter dash race.
A group of two will race each other while a machine records the time each took.
The first duo was of Tenya Iida and Tsuyu Asui. It was short and Iida came out on top, time: 3.04 seconds, Tsuyu came 2 seconds later. This Iida's field so it was not surprising he had won.
The remaining groups weren't really of interest until it was finally Sora's turn.
He walked to the starting line and looked at his partner. She was a girl with black hair, a great body figure, and a matured aura to her, this was Momo Yaoyorozu.
He didn't bother speaking and immediately after the buzzer, he appeared at the other end. His time: ERROR. ERROR.
This was no surprise to Sora as he literally vanished, he transformed to wind and blew himself to the finish line, and there was no way the device could calculate the passing of wind as part of the test.
Aizawa was slightly surprised by this as he looked at the boy, his thoughts 'not bad, let's see how he fares in the next test'
Test 2: Grip strength
A device is held by the students and they have to grip it with all their strengths. This was pretty much meant for physical enhancement-type quirks.
Here, Sora didn't bother using his quirk and used his natural power. The device read 225Kg. he smiled slightly as he thought 'not bad'

Test 5: Ball throw
Sora didn't have to redo it, so he just watched the others. He wasn't surprised when he noticed another had reached infinity, of course, this person was that certain brunette; Ochaco Uraraka. He even believed hers had gone further than his.
But his attention was diverted a second later when Izuku stepped into the circle. He had a little smile on his face as he thought 'oh this should be fun

Moments later, Izuku had successfully thrown the ball after Aizawa had stopped using his quirk. It reach 700+ meters and he had only broken a finger. Bakugo was incensed when he saw this, he had many questions like how could that bastard have a quirk, has he been hiding it all this time. But he stopped thinking as he believe violence was the better solution but before he could do jack shit, he was stopped by Aizawa's capturing tape. Bakugo wondered why the tape was so strong, Aizawa answered before saying "jeez don't make me use my quirk so much, it gives me serious dry eyes!"
'Too bad, that quirk is amazing' thought all the students.
While everyone was doing this, Sora was laughing as he thought. 'Damn Bakugo, your face at that moment was priceless and Mr. Aizawa, oh my god. Dry eyes, damn this is too good.' A strange sense of humor if you ask me.

Soon all the tests had been done and the students stood before Mr. Aizawa. He looked at them and said "all right, I've ranked you all from best to worst. I'll just pull up the whole list, no need bothering with each individual score"
And the list was out:

2 Sora Menhera
3 Shoto Todoroki
4 Katsuki Bakugo

20 Izuku Midoriya

At this point Midoriya was quaking in his boots, beads of sweat overflowing, he was sure his hero career had ended before it even started.
But then heard "and I was lying, no one's going home"
All stared blankly at the man, he smiled as he explained "that was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all"
At this point Midoriya was a white ghost, Iida's lenses had been broken from shock. They didn't expect this but then heard Momo saying "I'm surprised the rest of you didn't figure that out. I'm sorry, I guess I should've said something"
'Yes, you should have' they thought
Aizawa walked away while saying "well, that's all for today. Pick up your syllabus in the class and read it over before tomorrow morning and Midoriya…" he handed the boy a paper as he said "you go get yourself fixed up at the old lady. Things are going to be tougher tomorrow when your actual training begins. Make sure you're in shape" and he left.
With that, the test had come to an end.
