32 Case Closed?

The six police officers had made it to the scene of a warehouse with seven headless corpses crucified to the side of the building. Even though they were given details on the scene that currently lays before them, seeing it in person was a completely different matter than being told about it. Especially since they could see just how enraged the person was that did this, judging by burn scars that look like it came from electricity, and the bloody pulp that was once their genitals.

It was enough to make a couple of the new recruits on the force vomit, as they have never seen something like this in their lives, even some of the more seasoned officers couldn't help but gag when they looked at the corpses.

In their minds almost all of them had the same thought, 'What kind of monster could do this?' the only officer at the scene who didn't think that was officer Gori.

"What caused someone to be this angry?" He didn't think of whoever did this as a monster, instead he wondered what caused this to occur in the first place. Even if he wasn't a detective, he still wanted to get to the bottom of this case.

Four of the present officers, reluctantly, went to gather evidence for the detective that would be here in less than ten minutes. Meanwhile, two of the other officers, one being Gori, were curious if the warehouse itself had any significant for the crime to occur here, so they went to check the inside of it.

The two went to the front of the warehouse, where they saw that the two doors at the entrance were slightly open. They both looked at each other and nodded, there was a possibility that the killer could be in the warehouse currently, so they both took out their guns and slowly moved towards the entrance.

When they were less than three feet away from the doors they suddenly heard the sound of a little girl's voice speaking to them.

"I advise you two to put away your guns, you might scare these five with them." Gori and his fellow officer were confused as to why a little girl would be her, or why there would be five other individuals here, but they slowly put away their firearms, though they remained on guard as a precaution.

As they slowly opened the doors to the warehouse they were met with the sight of six children, with the other five surrounding the tallest of them, a girl with white and gray hair, antlers, deer ears, and red eyes. The officers assumed that her quirk had something to do with a white deer.

Looking at the other five they noticed that four of them matched the descriptions and pictures of the most recent kidnapping victims, the only ones they didn't recognize were the girl in the center, and the black haired boy that she was hugging.

"Hello officers, if you're here to save these kids from the seven guys that kidnapped them, you're much too late to really do much." Said the girl with antlers to the puzzled/shocked officers that didn't expect to find the most recent kidnapped children.

"Yeah, big sister Eve already saved us, like a hero!" Said the green haired boy with freckles fervently, the officers recognized this boy from the kidnapping report as Izuku Midoriya.

At Izuku's statement the two officers and our protagonist had one thing on their minds, 'Big sister Eve?', the officers because they didn't know who Eve was, and Eve herself because she didn't realize that Izuku already saw her as a big sister till now, even though he's technically older than her by a couple of months.

While the three of them were questioning Izuku's words, and while the other four were agreeing with his statement, another police car pulled up to the warehouse. This one belonged to Detective Tsukauchi, who was still thinking about the kidnapping case.

As Tsukauchi stepped out of his vehicle one of the officers that were gathering evidence noticed him and proceeded to go and greet the detective.

"Detective." The officer didn't have much to say, as this had been the first time she's met the detective, though she did recognize him from his photos from when he was still a regular officer.

"Tell me what we're looking at, officer." Tsukauchi didn't want to focus on any pleasantries, as he wanted to get back to the meeting he was at before as soon as possible.

"Well, from what we can tell the victims had their throats and genitals repeatedly stabbed with some sort of needle, and then they were decapitated in a single motion." The officer said as she went through her notes of the state of the bodies.

"Whoever did this definitely had a vendetta against them, but why, also where's officer Gori? The captain said I should talk to him about this case, since it's not in my precinct's jurisdiction." Tsukauchi, while regularly having to help in cases around Japan, still needed to talk with the lead officer in cases outside his precinct's area.

"Oh, him and officer Matsuda are currently inside the warehouse." She managed to see them enter before she almost puked again at the sight of the corpses earlier.

"Thank you." With those final words Tsukauchi went to the entrance of the warehouse to speak with officer Gori about this case.

When he got closer to the entrance he noticed the two officers standing and staring at something in front of them. The detective curiously looked past them, and his jaw nearly hit the floor at what he saw. In front of the officers were four of the recent kidnapping victims that he was looking for, there was also a girl that looked similar to the girl Sir Nighteye had a vision about, and she was holding a small boy close to her.

While he was still shocked at the sight he was currently seeing the girl in the center noticed him, she wore an expression that Tsukauchi couldn't identify.

"You cops really need to get better at finding people, 'cause one of the kidnapped kids from last time had to save these five, and it took me less than an hour." Eve never really had a good view of police, as they never managed to find the crimes of those scientists. She also was a bit upset still that those bastards almost experimented on these five, two of which she believes may have a crush on her now, and the other three she now sees as her younger siblings.

To say the two officers and detective were shocked would be an extreme understatement, the officers because of her cold tone and gaze, and the detective because from what is quirk told him, she was telling the truth.

Tsukauchi looked at the girl closer, and he realized that she looked almost exactly like the only kidnapped child that they haven't found still, Himiko Toga. She looked different from the picture that he had as reference, and from what Sir described, but he could tell that this girl was Himiko Toga, just changed somehow.

"E-excuse me, what's your name?" Tsukauchi mentally cursed at himself for stuttering, but he was still dealing with his earlier shock to the point he couldn't properly keep his voice steady.

"Hm? My name is Evangeline Kieran, I prefer to be called Eve. Though you may know me better by Himiko Toga, one of the kids the police failed to save a bit ago." If Tsukauchi wasn't actively focusing on his actions he would've flinched from her statement, after all he was the one heading the kidnapping case, so it was his fault they weren't saved.

"Oh, and if you want to know who this guy is, he's my new brother Tenko, he was also taken with these four." Since Tenko didn't have a family anymore, Eve decided she would do the same thing that her mother did for her, make him a part of her family, she'll ask him later if he wants his last name to be Kieran too.

From Eve's statement it added another, smaller, layer of shock to the cops as they didn't even know that there was another recently kidnapped child other than the four behind Eve. Her words also brought a warm smile to Tenko's face as she had officially considered him family. Which made him happy that the girl that saved him, helped him with his quirk, and comforted him while he cried genuinely wanted him around.

"Now officers, I don't know what the procedure is, but can we please hurry it up, I want these four to get home as soon as possible." Her words managed to finally knock the two officers out of their shocked state, but her words also brought up another question with Detective Tsukauchi.

"Don't you also want to go back to your parents?" From her phrasing it genuinely seemed like she didn't care about going back to them, which is what caused him to ask this question. But what she said made Tsukauchi realize that his hunch about the Toga's abusing/neglecting her were correct, especially since his quirk told him that she wasn't lying.

"I don't want to go back to the people that hated me for something I can't control. I never asked to be born the way I was."
