The place I suddenly found myself in was a black space filled with coal-colored fog.
In this darkness, I sat on a very ordinary chair and in front of me, in addition to the immense darkness, there was only a table on which stood a monitor screen and a mouse. The darkness was scary!
I didn't know what was hiding behind it, but all my instincts screamed that getting up from the chair would be an extremely bad, I would even say deadly, idea.
Swallowing, I looked at the black screen that was in front of me. At the very top, in white font, was written "Rebirth System."
"Um... But I didn't seem to die..." I smiled nervously.
I remembered that I was calmly walking around my city. But here's what happened next...
And suddenly I remembered about the meeting with the unknown who offered me a choice.
The nervous smile disappeared and I took another look at the darkness around me. She was frightening and omnipresent, she was under me and above me! It seemed that if I got up from the chair, I would simply fall into the abyss!
I turned my attention back to the panel. It still said at the top: "Rebirth System." There was a countdown in the upper right corner, with just under an hour left until completion. In the upper left corner it said: "Number of points: 10,000."
Just below were the columns: "Characteristics", "Cosmetic improvements", "Features", "Passive Skills", "Active Skills", "Items", "Status", "World", "Debuffs". Below was a black screen.
Using the mouse, I clicked on "Characteristics".
Immediately the black screen below changed. Five indicators appeared:

After thinking a little, I added one point to my intelligence. I somehow didn't feel smarter, but I noticed that instead of "10000 points" I now have "9999". The level itself rose by one.

I added another point to intelligence, and again there was no reaction, and I didn't get any increase in mental abilities, which is a pity. At the same time, the score counter changed again: "9997."

After that, I lowered my intelligence with the "<" arrow, and the points on my account again became "10000", intelligence level was "0", cost returned to "1".< p>
The system was intuitive. It was also intuitively clear that I had been given the opportunity to be reborn.
However, all this understanding of mine was based on the books I read, so I would like some clarification. But even with the addition of 1 point there was no explanation.
I looked at the time, it was quickly passing, and I had a feeling that if I kept digging and it ran out, I would greatly regret it. However, I already regretted being here! I didn't really want to be reborn!!!
Throwing away unnecessary thoughts, I looked at the passive skills column. According to the idea, a person simply owns them and, as a result, automatically constantly uses them. I liked passive skills because they were always, so to speak, turned on.
There were countless passive skills. Many of them were repeated, but at the same time they had different prices; there were also those that had different names, but meant something similar.
However, the worst thing was that they were all scattered in different places! And there were no explanations for the names.

However, there was no way to systematize the list. Just as there was no search engine for the necessary skills. So, if I want to find something, I have to do it manually and waste time on it!

Just looking at the endless set of words and numbers, I felt my head hurt, after which I decided to distract myself and look at other columns in order to relieve my head a little from the endless names.
"Cosmetic improvements"
A 3D image of my naked body appeared in the right corner; it could be rotated in different directions using different arrows.
Also on the left there were many columns and indicators for different parts of my body. Some things could be pumped up, some, like moles and spots on the body, could be removed. Here you could even change your gender for 100 points. And of course you could increase your dignity; there were somehow too many sliders for that. In general, it was quite possible to make oneself into a person with a model appearance.
- "Hmm... So you look at the price tag and realize that you don't look so bad." — I smiled to myself as I started looking at other tabs.
"Items"
There were a variety of things here, from chips and coke, to the Holy Grail and ending with poisons that can kill anyone. There were so many items here that it was simply impossible to really look through them.
