Chapter 23 - USJ Incident Final

Midoriya could not understand what was going on, even using all his knowledge he could not form a hypothesis of what he was seeing.

The world around him had turned a completely drab gray color. However the world outside the dome still retained its color... but it seemed to have been frozen.

In the distance you could see two large figures in an intense combat which had been interrupted by the strange phenomenon in which they had become involved.

PAM!

A loud tap on your shoulder jolts you out of your thoughts, quickly turning your gaze you see a nervous Kyoka looking at you with concern her face stained by tears that seemed to have stopped at some point. "Are you okay?"

"I- Yes! Just... this is strange..." Stammered Midoriya barely managing to complete the sentence. "Everything seems to have stopped..."

'And this feeling of deja vu is only getting stronger...' Midoriya thought before looking down at his palm, he could have sworn he saw it blur for a brief moment but it was hard to tell as the drab colors made it difficult to see.

Kyoka frowned as she looked outside the dome. "You don't think-"

Suddenly the sound of shattering crystals catches both of their attention, the cause of this is none other than Lena's lifeless body which has started to surround itself with strange shifting crystals covering her body completely.

Midoriya asked while trembling with fear. "What's going on?!"

Kyoka growled as she frowned. "I don't know!"

Both students began to back away carefully, until all the crystals shattered at the same time releasing a large celestial flash that spread all over the gray colored world until it collided with the dome, as if it was filled with water.

And just like a water balloon.

The dome burst because of the large amount of water.

BOOOM!

Midoriya and Kyoka could barely keep asking for help because of the explosion, which although it didn't hurt them, the strong wind current almost sent them both flying.

Midoriya gritted his teeth hard as he refused to take a step back.

Kyoka grunted at the effort she was putting in to keep from flying away like a sack of potatoes.

When they opened their eyes again, they saw that the colors returned to the world as well as everything was moving strangely naturally again.

'Didn't the others notice?' Midoriya wondered as he bit a lip. 'What really is Lena's Quirk?'

Shiz... Shiz...

The sound of small lightning bolts made them look up to see....

""Lena!"" They shouted in unison as they quickly approached to inspect the state of their friend and companion, who was on her back as celestial lightning bolts shot out from all over her body.

Before they could reach her a strange sensation assaulted them, they suddenly felt heavy, so heavy that they couldn't move a muscle, they couldn't even breathe no matter how hard they tried.

Their survival instincts quickly assaulted them full of panic, but no matter what they tried... they were frozen.

The sound of footsteps finally brought them back to reality.

The order was none other than Lena, who had turned around to face them as she approached.

Only now she looked a little different, her eyes were completely light blue as small lightning bolts shot out of them. Her formerly brown hair now had a sky blue tint that seemed to respond to the energy discharges coming from her. The strangest thing was that her movements seemed erratic, as if someone was moving her with strings.

Lena continued to walk with her strange gait, leaving us frozen as she passed in our midst and we lost sight of her.

Suddenly the sensation around our bodies disappeared, leaving them both lying on the ground on their knees as they gasped for breath, their hearts pounding loudly in their throats as they trembled slightly.

'What...'

'... was that'

They both turned their heads back to see Lena raising a hand as the celestial rays steadily intensified.

"I see the dead rise to torment the living."

With a slow twist of her hand, everything around them seemed to shake uncontrollably as the space around Lena distorted with different scenarios.

Suddenly, Reaper stopped moving as her body constantly shifted. First into a jet mist, then the same Reaper but in a different costume, then a brown-skinned adult, then into a teenager, then into a child, and then....

"LENA!" shouted Kyoka as she appeared at Lena's side taking her raised hand and suddenly lowering it, returning Reaper to normal.

Lena simply looked at her as she bowed her head before trying to raise her other arm, but this time towards Kyoka-.

Before Lena's body collapsed as if the ropes had been cut off....

"AAAHHH!"

All Might shouted as he swiftly hit the villain in front of him with heavy bursts of fists with all his might and more.

They had been fighting for about 7 minutes, but All Might had to admit that it was one of the hardest fights he had ever had in his entire life as a Hero.

'HOW IS THIS THING STILL STANDING!' All Might thought in surprise and annoyance, he hadn't had such a tough battle since his encounter with All For One all those years ago and it was taking its toll on him.

Nomu tried to punch him in the chest, but All Might moved faster dodging Nomu's punch to counter with another SMASH, which didn't have much effect on Nomu.

Nomu took a few seconds to recover from All Might's attack before giving him a strong punch in the shoulder that knocked the hero off balance, taking advantage of the opportunity Nomu attacked the hero's stomach....

But a large layer of ice stopped the purple villain's impact.

"Looks like I've arrived in time..."

Said the new unexpected guest Shoto Todoroki while breathing heavily.

"NO! GET OUT OF HERE YOUNG SHOTO!" shouted All Might as he regained his balance and looked at Shoto in panic.

The creature broke free of the ice and headed towards Shoto faster than the son of Endevour could react.

But All Might kicked Nomu and threw him into the air, saving Shoto from being crushed to death by a brutal blow from the cruel villain.

With a shake of his head, still dazed by what had just happened, Shoto ran out of the Central Zone resigned. That was all the proof of strength he needed to know that he would only be a nuisance in the fight, he wasn't stupid, but it still hurt his pride to see how far he was from Hero Number One.

"You can't beat Nomu!! he has a Shock Absorption Quirk, a Super Regeneration Quirk and lastly thousands of Super Strength Quirks! IT'S THE ULTIMATE WEAPON!!" Shigaraki shouted as he laughed like a madman and looked at All Might with an air of smugness.

"So that's why it was... hehe.... Then I just have to get over the limit of his Quirks!" shouted All Might as he parried with one hand the punch aimed at Nomu's face.

Pushing Nomu back, All Might began to hit Nomu punch after punch, Nomu also began to hit All Might but they didn't have as much momentum and speed as the flurry that Hero Number One was throwing at him.

ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA!

After hundreds of blows finally Nomu began to show signs of damage.

"NOW!!! I'LL SHOW YOU WHY I'M THE NUMBER ONE HERO! PLUS ULTRA!!!" All Might shouted as he landed a blow so hard on Nomu that it sent him flying out of USJ at the speed of sound.

...

All of USJ fell deathly silent.

Shigaraki was in shock, his Nomu, his perfect weapon designed by his master was defeated....

"It was a lie... it never weakened..." Shigaraki muttered as he scratched the back of his neck in annoyance and anger. "It can't be... my plan was perfect... why did it fail?"

"Now villain! Surrender to the Law!" said All Might as he glared at Shigaraki, the latter just glared at him with hatred.

...

Staring at each other Shigaraki moved towards All Might, the latter took a defensive pose to face the Villain, but to no avail....

BANG! BANG!

Two shots stopped Shigaraki in his tracks, one hit him in the leg while another hit him in the shoulder making the villain writhe in pain.

"Damn Heroes..." Shigaraki muttered under his breath in frustration and hatred.

Looking towards the stairs all the UA personnel could be seen entering the door, some had already dispersed to face the remaining villains.

"Game over....for now..... Kurogiri!" shouted Shigaraki a moment later a purple mist began to slowly swallow him.

"Mark my words hero... someday... your head will be mine..."
