Kurayami looks at his rank on the holographic screen calmly. Gotta say, he was pretty satisfied with it. But yeah... to be honest, he doesn't really care about this test that much, he's confident in his own capabilities. It's just that...
'Combat wise, I'm probably the strongest one among this class... for now that is, but in the future, these guys...' he thought to himself as he gazed at Midoriya, Bakugo and Todoroki discreetly. 'These guys are just built different.'

Plot armors, power of friendship, protagonist halo and some bullshit power up. 'Urgh... I want some of those too, please.' Kurayami thought as he gazed at the sky absentmindedly, inwardly praying to whoever being who reincarnated him into this world.

'Hmm... and the last one is... Wait, isn't it supposed to be Midoriya? So does that mean Mineta gonna get kicked out?' Kurayami curiously looks at Aizawa as he try to get the students' attention by faking a cough.
By the way, Mineta who's in the middle of the crowd, have already fallen on his knees while looking at the ranking list in disbelief.
While most of them felt pity towards Mineta. Kurayami and some others are indifferent towards him. For example; Bakugo, he doesn't really give a fuck what's gonna happen to Mineta while Todoroki is... yeah, he probably thinking about cold soba or something. Even Kurayami have a hard time reading his poker face.
"By the way, I was lying about the expulsion." Aizawa suddenly said towards the students as he turned off the holographic screen.
"....."

Looking at the dumfounded faces of his students, Aizawa couldn't help but flash them a mocking grin "It was a rational deception to draw out the upper limits of your Quirks."
"""""Whattt!!!????"""""
"....." Kurayami stayed silence and glance at the others as they started to clamoring around about their ranking and the expulsion.
"Of course that was a lie. It should have been obvious if you thought it through." Momo Yaoyorozu said as she looked at the others like they're stupid or something.
While the others seems to agree with Momo's assessment. Kurayami, who already knew Aizawa's style to expel his students, decided to stay silence at the end. The first reason is, he doesn't want to embarrass this rich girl and lastly, he doesn't want to make a scene by confronting Aizawa about it in this particular moment either, he can just talk to Aizawa personally later on if he wanted to.

"With that, we're done here." Aizawa said as he walked out the field lazily.
"There are handouts with the curriculum and such in the classroom so when you get back, look over them." he continued.
"Midoriya, have the old lady fix you in the nurse's office. Tomorrow will be packed with even more rigorous tests. Prepare yourself." Aizawa then stopped in front of Midoriya and told the reckless kid to patch up his finger at the nurse's office.
'Hmm... there's no expulsion? that's weird...' Kurayami thought as he walked out of the field towards the locker room with the other boys.
Today, first year students were supposed to attend the school specifically for the entrance ceremony and then the orientation, ya know the usual introduction stuffs. Which means, there's no lessons for today. And that's mean, they were allowed to go home earlier or they can walk around the campus to familiarize themselves with the school layout.

[Boys Locker Room]
"That test earlier was a little nerve-wracking huh?" Sero said as he is changing his gym uniform.
"Yeah, luckily the expulsion part was just a lie." Kaminari said with a relief tone.
And they continue on chatting about the test earlier and what they're going to do after school today. Kurayami doesn't really said anything on his part, he just nodded and agreed to some of their questions.
"But man, Aizawa-sensei's quirk is really unexpected huh, but the side effect though..." Ojiro added his opinion about their homeroom teacher.
Seeing that Midoriya, the quirks nerd was about to start blabber on about Eraser Head's quirk, Kurayami decided to intervene. He really appreciates Midoriya's talent in quirks analysis but he doesn't have the time for that right now. He also need to remind these guys a bit. They're getting comfortable thinking that the expulsion part was a lie.
"About the expulsion. He was serious about it." Kurayami suddenly started speaking causing the others to stop talking. They immediately looks at Kurayami curiously.
"Huh? Seriously?" Kaminari exclaimed a bit after hearing Kurayami's words. The others also surprised by this.
"Aizawa-sensei was really going to kick out whoever placed in the last rank. In fact, he punished a whole class of last year's first-years with expulsion." Kurayami said as he close his locker, an amused smile adorned on his face as he glance at the other guys.
"I-I-If th-that's true, why he doesn't expel me earlier?" Mineta asked hesitatingly.
"Well, who knows? I can't read other people minds." Kurayami replied Mineta nonchalantly as he walked towards the exit. Well, for this part, it's true. Kurayami doesn't really know why Aizawa didn't expel Mineta. Plot maybe? (Note: What are you doing author?!) (Author: I dunno either man!)
"Oh yeah. I'm sorry Kirishima, but I can't hangout with you guys today. I've got something to do. Thanks for inviting me though." he said as he walked out the locker room leaving the flabbergasted guys behind and went straight to the classroom.

The first thing he saw after he entered the classroom was a pile of files on the teacher's desk. Unsurprisingly, there's no one else here other than himself. 'Well, looks like I'm the first one to arrive then.' He walk to the teacher's desk and pick up one file for himself, he glance at the others files.
"Well, might as well..." His shadow spread out under him and turned into small hands. The hands then grab all the files one by one and put them on his classmates desks. After done with their job, they retreat back into his shadow silently.
'Alright then, time to go home.... Well, maybe after a quick tour, I need to check out the gym here first.' He picked up his bag and then leave the classroom, normally.
....
'Hmmm... as expected of U.A, the gym here is very nice. All those high technology stuffs and those shining equipments really make me feel excited to do exercise in there.' Kurayami thought as he walked out the front gate of the school. He also got to meet some seniors in the gym earlier, they're pretty friendly. They also kindly explain to him about some others training facilities that the school have. He can't wait to try them out later.
"Oi~ Yami~!!!" He turned around and saw Mina running towards him with Kyoka Jiro, Tsuyu Asui and Toru Hagakure following her from behind.
"Hmmm?" He raised his eyebrow looking at this girl curiously, didn't he already said that he doesn't want to join her little gathering earlier.
"I heard from Kirishima that you won't even hang out with them either. Do you really want to go home just like that? You're no fun~" She said.
"Well, I got something to do at home after this." he replied back, completely ignores her teasing. He then nodded at Tsu and looked at the others curiously "Well, and these are... "
"Oh yeah, you already met Tsuyu-chan right? Yami, meet Kyoka Jiro and Toru Hagakure. And girls, this is Kurayami Kaito. His looks might be a bit intimidating but he's actually a good guy, he's just a bit shy towards strangers." Mina quickly introduced him and the girls to each other. Though her last words caught him off guard making his smile faltered a bit.
"Hello." Kyoka greet him simply as she looked at him curiously.
"Hello, I'm Toru Hagakure. Nice to meet you~" the floating school uniform next to Mina waving around showing her enthusiasm while greeting him.
"Well, It is nice to meet both of you as well." he greet them back as well. He then take out his phone and looked at the time "Well, looks like it's time for me to go home. I got something to do after this."
"You always said that you have something to do but at the end, all you do is training, training and training. You barely got time to hangout with me anymore. Hmph, you training maniac!" Mina pout as she glare Kurayami.
"Being hero is not an easy job, didn't I tell yo-" he try to explain to her but like usual, his words were cut off by her "Yeah yeah, I heard that exact same sentence many times already. Hmph!" she cross her arms and turned her head to the side as her pout intensifies. He looks at her speechlessly before turning towards the other girls.
"You girls are going to the karaoke right? Make sure you return home before dark. Also, please take care of this girl for me." He talk to other girls as he point his finger at Mina who's still pouting.
"You can leave her to us, kero." The ever responsible Tsuyu immediately agree with his requests.
"Sure, why not." Jiro said, amused by the interaction between him and Mina.
"Hehehe, don't worry, you can leave Mina-chan to us, Kaito-kun!" Toru replied with a little laugh, probably amused by his interaction with Mina too.
"Good, Hey." he nodded, satisfied with their answers and then he turned towards Mina and called out her gently. Hearing his voice, she glanced at him and asked "Wh-" but her next words were cut off when Kurayami poke her forehead gently (Itachi style).
"Sorry, Mina. Maybe next time." he smile gently at this girl. Out of all people he met in this second life, this girl is probably the most precious one after his adoptive grandparents. He admitted that he have a soft spot for her, that's why he went along with her 'adventures' and shenanigans, sometimes.
"W-Wh-What a-are you-!" her face quickly turned red after seeing his smile. Kurayami laugh a little seeing this girl's reaction. Hearing his laughing, she immediately glares him while still blushing hard.
Seeing this, he quickly stopped laughing, he already satisfied with this. Anymore than this, this girl might went on 'sulk mode' or worse, she might attack him with her acid.
He casually slipped into his shadows while still appreciating her angry yet blushing face. Mina can only glare at him while the other girls are snickering behind her.
"Then, I'm going first." He said one last time while waving his hand towards them before fully disappears into the shadows.

[After Kurayami went home]
"Woah, I don't know he can do that too." Jiro said in awe looking at where Kurayami disappear.
"Hey hey~ what was that about huh~" Toru immediately went to 'attack' Mina. She started to tease the pink girl after seeing the display of affection earlier.
"I don't know you guys have that kind of relationship, kero." Tsuyu tilted her head cutely while looking at Mina who's still blushing.
"Yeah, you guys are so cute~" Toru excitedly dancing around Mina.
And that's the last straw.
"Yami, you idiot!!!" Mina immediately run ahead leaving her friends behind.
"Hey hey! Wait for us!" Jiro and Tsuyu run as well following Mina.
"Yeah! You need to tell us more about him!" Toru followed them as well.

But yeah, I like Mina a lot, she is very cute in my opinion. Sorry Mina×Kirishima shippers🙃.
