10 Combat Training

(Next day)

Just like yesterday, Kurayami woke up early and does his morning routine. And after done showering and wearing his school uniform, he made himself a classic american style breakfast while watching morning news.

...

"Well, looks like there's nothing new or interesting for today." Kurayami said as he turned off the television. He then turned his attention towards the class timetable on the table. He picked up the timetable and examine it once more.

"Hmmm... English, Japanese, Math, Science and etc etc... U.A is indeed a hero academy but it's still a highschool. Except for the extra period for Hero Course students, everything else looks rather normal, I guess." He said as he put the schedule back on the table.

*beep* *beep* *beep*

"Well, school time..." he rose from his seat as his shadow materialize into several hands. They quickly picked up all the plates and cup on the table and rush to the kitchen and put them all in the sink. The hands immediately retreat back to his shadow after done with their work.

After making sure the front door have been locked and everything inside the house is clear, Kurayami picked up his bag and slipped into his shadow and went to the U.A. He can't be late for the first day, right?

....

Appearing in the same alley near the front gate of U.A, he calmly stroll in with the other students who have arrived at the school as well.

And after a lot of twist and turns, he finally arrived at the class. "Good morning." He opened up the door and entered the classroom.

'It seems that I have arrived way... too earlier than I anticipated, gotta reset that alarm clock after this...' Kurayami thought as he walked towards his seat while glancing at the three people inside the classroom other than him. Shoto Todoroki, Momo Yaoyorozu and Ida Tenya.

'What a wonderful morning...' he thought sarcastically as he close off his eyes to meditate. 'Sigh... just where is Mina when you need her... the vibe in here is killing me.' he thought one last time before he focused back on his meditation.

....

(About 10 minutes later...)

"Good morning..."

"Good morning, everyone!"

One by one, the students entered the classroom. The once silence classroom gradually become full of people. They began to talk to each other about their day and other stuffs. Kurayami noticed these and decided to end his short meditation session.

Even though he already 'awaken', Kurayami doesn't join in their conversations, he chose to remain silent and ponder about his attempt to recreate [Flash Step] yesterday.

Well... the good news is, he did somehow managed to replicate the [Flash Step] movements. The bad news is, he doesn't have much control over it, he need more practice before he can use it in battles efficiently. He didn't want to crash into walls or anything in high speed and make a fool out of himself. It would be embarrassing as hell if that ever happen.

"Good morning, Kaito-chan." he looked up and saw Tsuyu as she walked towards her seat.

(Note: Tsuyu's seat is in front of Kurayami's and Mina's seat is in front of Tsuyu's. The seats in this fic doesn't really follow anime. You guys not gonna fuss about something small like this right?)

"Oh, good morning Tsu." he returns her greeting as she sits on her chair and turned her chair facing towards him.

"So, how was yesterday?" he opened up the conversation with her. He also kinda curious about what they do yesterday.

"Well, it's an interesting experience for me. I mean, it's also my first time entered a karaoke. We sing a bunch of songs together and then eat at McDonald's afterwards, it was fun, kero." she answered.

"Is that so." and from there, they continue on chatting about today's agendas and when Mina arrived, she also happily joined in the conversation as well.

After a few moments chatting and waiting, Class 1-A's English teacher, Present Mic finally entered the classroom with his usual antics. And so, the first lesson for today begin.

After all those boring lessons and the delicious lunch prepared by the Cook Hero: Lunch Rush during lunch break, it's finally the time for the Hero Basic Training.

While everyone else seems excited and nervous for the hero training, Kurayami on the other hand was thinking about something entirely different than the others.

'The miso soup that Lunch Rush make earlier... I wonder if he can teach me his recipe.' His face was very serious while thinking about this.

He suddenly snapped out of his thoughts and turned his head towards the hallway. 'He's here... this presence... as expected of...'

"I am... coming through the door like a normal person!!!" All Might shouted as he entered the classroom in a bizarre position.

'What kind of normal person comes through a door like that!!' Kurayami instinctively wanted to retort against All Might but luckily, he managed to hold back the urge.

"It's All Might!"

"Woah, he really is a teacher!"

"That's a costume from the Silver Age, isn't it?"

"Yeah, the design is really different, it's giving me goosebumps."

After the students calm down, All Might continued "I teach Basic Hero Training. It is a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero. You'll take the most units of this subject! So, without further ado, let's get right into it!"

"This is what we'll do today... Battle Training!!!" he said as he brought up a small board showing the word "Battle" on it.

This announcement immediately make everyone excited especially Bakugo, as a huge bloodthirsty grin appeared on his face.

"And to go with that are these!!" All Might continues on saying as he pressed a remote button. Following his action, several rows of suitcases pop out of the wall beside him dramatically.

Seeing their costumes, everyone became even more excited than before.

'Hmmm, U.A sure work fast huh...' Kurayami thought as he glance at the suitcases on the wall.

"After you change, gather in Ground Beta!" All Might said.

"""""YES!!!"""""

.....

"Those guys are so slow..." Kurayami muttered as he walked through the dark tunnel that lead to the Ground Beta after he changed into his hero costume.

Kurayami's hero costume consists of a dark-colored jacket with four buttons on the high collar. He has four blue belts around his waist. His dark colored pants are tucked into light-colored boots, which have sets of four belts. Over all this, he wears a grayish hooded cloak.

"Well, I've got to admit it, the quality of this costume is really good. Minor fire and cut resistant, quite durable for a piece of clothing and.... very comfortable too." he said as he stretch the cloak he's wearing slightly.

He isn't a creative kind of guy and he definitely don't have any idea on how to design a costume to begin with, so at the end he just went with what Nacht use to wear on his missions.

"Ohhh, it's Young Kaito! You look great, nice costume!" All Might exclaimed after seeing Kurayami walked out the tunnel alone, and then he continued on "Er.. and where are your friends?"

"Oh, they're still inside the changing room." Kurayami respond lightly as he walked towards All Might and stopped in front of him.

"Well, in that case, we'll wait for them for a bit more." All Might said.

Kurayami doesn't offer any verbal reply, he just nodded silently while staring at the tunnel together with All Might.

"..."

"..."

(5 minutes later)

"They're here..." All Might said.

"Finally..." Kurayami sigh as he looked at his classmates as they walked out of the tunnel together looking cool and all.

"Go gather with your with friends. We'll start the lesson now." All Might said to Kurayami.

"Okay." Kurayami replied as he walked to his classmates and stand beside them facing All Might.

"Looking good, everyone. You all look cool!" All Might said enthusiastically as he looks at all his students in their hero costumes.

"Now, it's time for combat training!" All Might said.

(Note: After a long lecture and instructions from All Might, along with their interactions. I'm very lazy to write it. Sorry, you guys should know the drill for this part right?)

Out of all people, Kurayami didn't expect that he's going to be paired with Momo Yaoyorozu. 'This girl... I know she doesn't really care that much about her clothing but this is...' He thought as he walked towards Momo.

"I never get a chance to introduce myself. My name is Momo Yaoyorozu, you can call me Momo since my family name is quite hard to pronounce. Nice to meet you." As expected of a high class family's heiress, her etiquette is very different than normies like him.

Kurayami reciprocated the greeting as Momo continued "While the first teams are getting ready, how about we talk and share a bit about our quirks so we can come up with a plan?" as they all walked to the monitor room to watch the fight between Team Midoriya and Uraraka VS Team Bakugo and Ida.

"My quirk is called Shadow Devil, I can manipulate and do many things with shadows. I can travel through them too. How about yours?" Kurayami started as he demonstrate a little by shaping shadows into a rose and handed it to Momo gentlemanly.

"Oh my... Ehem- My quirk is called Creation. I can...." Momo was flustered by his actions but after a moment, she started to explain about her quirk to him.

While all this happened, a certain pink girl was watching with a pout on her face as she looked at the rose in Momo's hand.

'Hmph... stinky Yami.'

[Monitor Room]

After 5 minutes preparation. The first fight begin with Midoriya and Uraraka infiltrate the building by the window. When Bakugo finally found them, he immediately target his childhood friend. And that's when it's get interesting.

Everyone have different reactions seeing Bakugo's actions. Then, when Midoriya flipped Bakugo over and evade every attacks from Bakugo, they immediately changed their opinions about Midoriya.

The fight continued on just like in the anime as Bakugo continued to throw his explosions everywhere, destroying the building while fighting Midoriya. And the ending was also the same as Team Midoriya win with Midoriya throwing a freaking 100% OFA full packed punch through the building, giving the chance for Uraraka to seize the objective. While leaving Ida on the ground kneeling in despair as he watched Uraraka hugging the objective.

"Hero team... wins!!!"

The next match is between Team Hagakure and Ojiro VS Team Todoroki and Shoji. Well, it's an instant win for Team Todoroki. This guy really went ahead and freeze the whole building.

Bakugo was really shocked by this though, yeah his face is freaking hilarious. Poor guy probably think that he's the strongest when he entered the classroom.

'Half-Cold, Half-Hot... a 'perfect creation' of Endeavor...' Kurayami thought as he looks at Todoroki on the screen as he melting all the ice on the building.

'Those eyes... he really hated his father, huh...'

...

"Next match. Team C as the villain and Team G as the hero! Prepare yourselves!" All Might said as Momo and Kurayami (Team C) with Kaminari and Jiro (Team G) went out of the monitor room and went to the selected building for their match.

"So how you want to do this?" Kurayami said as he stare at the objective.

"Kaminari's quirk is an electric type quirk, very straightforward and Jiro's quirk is her earphone jacks, she can hear things from afar using them and she probably can release some kind of soundwave attacks with the help of support gears. Her quirk is pretty troublesome" Kurayami added briefly as he looks at Momo. He wanted to see what kind of strategy this girl came up with, he can just finished it instantly like Todoroki but he's kinda curious too.

"Alright, I got a plan. I'll create speakers and play some loud songs to distracted Jiro-san's quirk and maybe I can create a lightning rod to counter Kaminari-san's quirk. We also can barricade the door...." She then continued on talking excitedly about the defenses that she could make to defend the room.

"Okay... you do that, I'll confront them then." He looks at her blankly before turned around while tapping the floor with his feet twice. 'This girl really is smart as hell, but her battle instinct at this moment is non-existent. Might as well finish this early.'

"[Shadow Domain: Haunted Building]" he voice out his technique as his shadows spread out inside the building. Some rooms and hallways inside the building begin to disappear as they were covered up by shadows walls. Shadow mist begin to appeared randomly inside the building covering up some of the lamps and making the building entirely look like a haunted place.

After satisfied with his work, he turned to Momo and said "Stay in the room and guard the objective. Oh yeah, play some scary musics too, okay. There are guests that was about to come over."

"O-Okay..." She answered as she started to create the speakers and the other stuffs she needs to guard the room. After that, Kurayami help her put the speakers in specific corners inside the building and help her barricade the door.

["Now, let's start the third indoor person-to-person combat training match!"] All Might said signaling the start of the combat training.

"K-Kaito-san, isn't this going to traumatize Jiro-san and Kaminari-san?" Momo said hesitantly as she turned on all the speakers simultaneously.

"You don't have to worry, I'm not gonna actively trying to scare them or anything. I just make some rooms and hallways disappear, that's all." 'hopefully' Kurayami replied as he put on his hood and slipped into his shadow. "Then, I'm going first."

"Yes, be careful." Momo said as she sigh and create a bo staff and stand beside the objective.

Bruh, sorry this time I got some serious health issues. I can't stop coughing and my temperature is freaking damn high, I feel weak af, I can't even lift up my arm for a long time.

Today, I finally feel slightly better so I hurry up and finish this chapter ASAP.

The chapter might be a bit disappointing for some people so I'm sorry for that.

There must be some errors somewhere here, since I'm writing this as fast as I can.
