46 Mei's Parents!

Later

Mei was feeding Bullet as THE drama played on TV.

Bullet was shocked "WHAT?! NO WAY!" He turned to Mei, saying in shock, "You see!? 17th Prince kill 1st Princess, say she kill girl he love! So crazy!" Mei laughed and Bullet went back to watching with wide eyes.

Aizawa was on the phone and said "Yeah. That would be great, thanks. No, no… It's not a problem. With the reaction I've seen, I'm surprised. Alright. Yeah, 4th door." he hung up and looked at the duo on the couch.

He sighed to himself, his home was going to become a date spot? What the hell…

A little bit later

Bullet shouted, "17TH PRINCE PUPPET?! 8TH CONCUBINE CONTROL BUT PUPPET TOO?!? REALLY OLD KING!? WOW!" he turned to Mei stiffly, "Believe?! Bullet can't!" Mei was shocked and laughed "WHAT THE HELL?! AHAHAHAH! THIS DRAMA IS CRAZY!"

Aizawa went to open the door, a big muscular guy with yellow crosshair eyes and a gentle woman with pink hair were standing in the doorway.

The man nodded and shook Aizawa's hand, "Thank you, Eraserhead. I hope she didn't cause any problems." Aizawa shook his head and stepped back, the woman smiled gently, "Meimei~ Mom's here to pick you up."

Mei froze and turned her head stiffly, laughing "Aha?" Bullet was shocked and looked over before struggling to stand up, he stumbled forward and fell on the ground. Mei was shocked and went to help him but Bullet stood up on his own, walking over to Mei's parents.

He struggled to speak before saying "Sorry! Bullet bring Mei here. Not Mei fault." as he bowed deeply.

The woman pursed her lips gently and the man picked him up, looking at Bullet, who blinked innocently at him. The man set him straight, smiling "I saw you on TV. You're not too bad, kid." Bullet swallowed and looked at him, not understanding but nodding.

Mei jumped on him and laughed crazily "HAHAHA! HE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL! IF I LOSE THAT, I'LL DIE! AHAHAH!" The woman peeled her off Bullet, smiling "Mei, stop troubling Eraserhead. You can see Bullet at school…" Mei pouted and said "But!" Her mother hugged her, smiling "Home. Now. We have to talk, okay?"

Mei nodded and the woman brought Mei away.

The man nodded at Eraserhead before turning to Bullet, who looked troubled. The man patted his head and smiled, "Mei doesn't have many friends. She's also sick, if she's really happy when she's with you, you don't have to worry about anything, kid." Bullet blinked and Aizawa translated, Bullet nodded and smiled kindly "Bullet like Mei… A lot!"

He seemed to struggle before saying with a blushing face, "Not know if should say, but say! Bullet like Mei… Um… No Quirk but Bullet work hard! Promise!" The man was startled before smiling gently, he laughed and ruffled Bullet's hair, nodding "Happy hear this. Me watch you. Understand?" Bullet nodded firmly and said "Yes, sir!" the man laughed and apologized to Aizawa again before leaving.

Aizawa closed the door and looked at Bullet, who seemed to have used up all his brain energy for the day. He snorted and shook his head, "You tell Girl father, you like girl? Crazy. Drama crazy, you more." Bullet was shocked and asked "Not supposed to say?!"

Aizawa's lips twitched, "Not know?" Bullet turned pale, shivering "Bullet… embarrassed!" Aizawa chuckled and said "You sleep. 2 days no school, then back." He paused before pointing at Bullet's nose, "No train. 2 days, you sleep!"

Bullet was stunned and Aizawa was very serious, saying "If no. I call Midnight. Sleep for sure!" Bullet swallowed and said "But-" Aizawa tilted his head, warningly and Bullet shut his mouth.

But his thoughts were all over his face, Aizawa was sure this crazy guy was going to train in secret! He didn't let Bullet know that he knew and smiled "Good. Sleep now." as he yawned and left.

Bullet had a sly look on his face as he laughed soundlessly, muttering "Heh… Dad fooled. Just like 5th concubine. Heh heh…"

Meanwhile, Aizawa made a call, "Nemuri, I need a favor…"

The Midnight sleep corps was on her way!

On the flip side…

Mei was sitting in a car and laughing "But I want to stay with my dog! Damn! You mortals, how could you do this to me?! AHAHA!" but her face was pouting with her arms crossed.

Her mother looked at her from the passenger seat, smiling "Who said you can't? We just want to let him rest. If he never gets better how are you going to keep him?" Her father looked in the rearview before back at the road, chuckling "He told me that he likes you a lot."

Mei froze and laughed, "AAHAH? HE SAID THAT!? THAT DOG! WHO DOESN'T! AGHAHAH!" Her father drove and curled his lips, "As long as you're happy, Meimei. Quirkless, Bad Quirk, God Quirk… I don't care at all." her mother smiled gently and pinched Mei's nose, giggling "Not to mention, he's a good boy. Very tough! Just like momma!" The man chuckled and patted her thigh.

Mei laughed and sighed, saying sadly "He's better than you can even imagine…" her mother and father smiled happily, not saying anything. Just the calm tone of voice was enough.

Before, Mei would only shout, it was a strange disease… That's what they were told. Something that popped up when Quirks started becoming prevalent. The expected lifespan of this disease was around 30.

The doctors couldn't understand why.

They told Mei's parents that at best she could live to 50. How hard was this to hear for them… Apparently, the brain would just shut down and kill itself for no reason as time passed. The only common trait they all shared was that they were all extreme geniuses! The best of the best!

Not even intelligence improving Quirks suffered from this affliction. It was as though nature blessed them at a cost.

So Mei's parents made it their goal to let Mei be as happy as possible. They couldn't do anything about that disease, but at least she could be happy in the time she had. That was all they could hope for.

When they got home, Mei trotted to her room/workshop, pulling out her phone and texting Bullet.

Her parents started talking about Bullet.

Mei's father liked him, but… "He's just like Mei. I want her to be happy but… I saw the look in his eyes. This kid, he'll do anything to save people. I've seen it before." Her mother crossed her legs on a stool, smiling as she held her chin in her palm, "So? What are you going to do? Break them up? That boy is one of the toughest people I've seen."

The man sighed, "That's why I'm worried. If he dies… What if it accelerates her condition?" The woman let out a breath and replied "What if it doesn't?" he looked at her as she explained "You saw how she's been calming down recently? I thought it was UA helping her or Recovery Girl… But I called the Nurse and she told me Mei hasn't been taking her pills for a while now."

The man crossed his arms and frowned, "You mean…" the woman snapped her fingers and smiled beautifully, "Yes~! Maybe this is a good thing. If he loses an arm, doesn't he have our baby? If she's sad, doesn't she have him? Maybe they can support each other?"

The man sighed and furrowed his brows, "So you want to support him?" The woman flicked her wrist and a book appeared on the table, "Worth a shot, no? If he can make my baby happy, then whatever Support company, bullshit, he can have it!"

The man frowned slightly and muttered "I guess…" The woman leaned in and pursed her lips, "You guess, big boy?" the man snorted and pulled her into his arms, "AHAHA…" before coughing, "You figure out about that boy, I'll go talk to Mei… Got it, puppy?" she scrunched her nose and kissed him, "Okay~"

The Man pinched her nose and walked into the workshop as the woman opened the folder.

Mei's parents ran one of the biggest Support Companies in the country… Mio Chitose was the brains behind the business while her husband Kei Hatsume was the mechanic!
