34 Chapter 34: Glimpse of the past
Izuku stared at the small toy soccer ball infront of him. Hesitating to even move his hand. As Izuku took a deep breathe just to be ready for his quirk's painful aftereffects Dogday and Catnap sat right next to him. Just in case if they have to protect Izuku if whatever he summoned suddenly turn rogue and attack him.
After a couple of seconds of deep preparation Izuku muster enough courage to grab the soccer ball and activate his quirk. The soft and rubber touch of the ball reach Izuku's sensation as he felt the need to put another hand to the ball and waited until he felt a connection.
His almost there. He could feel it. A strange touch of a fragile tether that he doesn't know where it's end point lies. Izuku doesn't know how to explain the weird feeling of unfamiliarity but it feels like his traveling to an unknown place.
He could flouting at a dark abyss as he follows the string to some sort of a white dot. He was so close at reaching the growing white dot but once he started to feel this connection his quirk's negative affects started to take over.
The feel his stamina leaving his body and his mental state worsen as if his head wanted to explode. Izuku doesn't want to back down now as he tried to cling to this connection. This string he was working so hard to ever since he was a child. No way he'll ever give up now.
So he continued to pull himself towards the dot. The journey both physically and mentally draining made him feel like he was about to die. He kept persisting as the more closer and closer he gets to the dot the more Izuku started to see that this white dot isn't a dot.
It was a tunnel as it was so large that not even his small tiny body can compare to the ginormous size of the blinding tunnel. Izuku stared in astonishment by the tunnel as he moved a little closer just to touch the tunnels white light.

Izuku P.O.V
' ugh.... What? '
I couldn't help but too feel this terrible headache. I tried to stand up and look around to find out where I am only to see that I'm in some colorful kid friendly daycare. This place looks large as it almost reminded me back at UA's auditorium.
I could see hundred heck even thousands of children playing in this place until they suddenly run towards the large entrance where a couple of adults showed themselves infront of the kids. My eyes widen when I saw a familiar face on one of the adults as it was the stranger back at my nightmare.
' What? '
" Hey kids guess what? The director has chosen three lucky candidates to be rewarded for their hardwork! You know what that means, It means it's time for us to say goodbye to your lucky friends! "
The strangers cheerful tone cause these children to clap and cheer in excitement. I couldn't help but to feel like a ghost to them since almost all of these children pass my body without even batting an eye.
I don't know what's happening but seeing that I'm unseen and untouched by anyone in this place I decided to just focus on my attention to those two people. Who knows maybe I might probably get some answers to whatever's happening.
The adults settle the children's cheers down as one of the adults. Someone that I'm not familiar with started to pull a phone from his pocket and speak to the entire children in this large Daycare with the same enthusiasm as the stranger.
" Okay kids looks like our lucky candidates are..... Rich, Madison and Ashley!!! Let's welcome our three lucky candidates! "
' I-I can't believe it. I MADE IT!!! '
A girls voice suddenly sounded in my head. I was about to turn my head around to see which voice belongs to only to feel my limbs numb and my whole body suddenly lifted off the ground.
I didn't know what to do as I tried to move but my floating body simply refuse until I notice one girl that is infront of me move. Causing my body to follow her direction.
I couldn't do anything as if I'm like a spectator. A ghost that's meant to just watch whatever's unfolding. This girl and two other children with her walk through the crowd as these crowd's of children made a path for them.
These children did smile for her but it looked unatural. As their cheers and excitement where twisted into somewhat of an obsessed welcome to an initiation. I could see these children suddenly got twisted and elongated. Towering her as she happily walk's towards the adults.
' I-I can't believe I manage to get in!!! '
' W-will my foster parents be kind to me? '
' Eee!! I can't wait to meet them right now!! '
This girl's excited voice kept filling in my head as the daycare started to devoid of color the more closer she got's to the adults. The children become even more twisted and grow unaturally long as if their turning into tree's.
I wanted to get out of this situation as fast as possible but my body just simply refuse to obey. I was moving closer to her as the more she walks the more I notice a raggid green fabric coming out from her back until she arrive at the entrance. Meeting the two adults as if they are her savior's.
One of the adults look at her for a moment before he sighed heavily. He crouch down to her level and patted her in the shoulder as he said to her with some hint of sadness in his tone.
" Congratulations Ashley you did it "
But despite the man's subtle tone the girl couldn't help but to feel pride as her eyes brightened up since she couldn't hold her astonishment. I could see the man's made a slight frown but the other man beside him took on the girls hand and shouted at the entire twisted colorless room.
" Okay it's time to say farewell to our three lucky candidates!! "
" Goodbye! "
" Stay safe! "
" Visit us often! "
" Bye bye!! "
Their loud cheer still feels oddly human as I look back to their their bodies. They have turned into twisted mishapen pipes. All of them connected through one pipe line. The Daycare devoid of color as it now looks nothing but a destroyed abandoned facility.
I don't understand what's going on until I noticed that something large was attached to my back. I turn my head around. My eyes widen. And my pulse beating fast. As a large maggot filled rabbit like corpse stuck on my back.
I couldn't scream because my mouth was stitch shut. My back now covered with it's molded cloth of flesh and swarming crawling maggots kept moving pass my back as it tries to cover my whole body.
The corpse look up to the broken hole of the ceiling as I followed. Noticing a moon on the top. It's bright soft light shines throughout this dim dreaded facility as the corpse stared at the moon for some time before it runs.
I could feel the air passing me. The corpse trying to pull me in to it's body as more maggots tried to cover my face.
The movement of these maggots felt like whisper's. Thought's that kept changing the same words over and over again in repeat.
' JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! '
" MMMMGGHH!!! "
Only my muffled sound could help me silence out these weird whisper's as I felt like this corpse is getting closer to a wall. These maggots kept chanting louder and louder. More desperate than ever before while the corpse begin's to walk back towards the moon.
I couldn't help but to feel fear. I know what will this corpse is going to do as I couldn't help but to just watch. The rabbit look up at the moon as it's dried up smile widen in joy as it took a long leap off the ground.
' YES YES!!! '
' JUMP JUMP! '
' THE MOON FOLLOW THE MOON!!! '
' IT'S NEAR JUST A LITTLE CLOSER! '
These maggots whispered as I could see that we are getting closer to the figure of the moon. The light of the night sky. The weirdly comforting light. The relief of finally reaching my freedom.
It was what I was feeling right now as once I could touch the moon we stopped. It was this matter of seconds that we started to fall. More of these maggots kept screaming. Begging gravity to just lift us up to the moon.
The feeling of dread, shock, hopeless and worse of all fear kept filling in my heart as I saw the moon leaving us. Shrinking into the darkness until nothing but the sound of broken bone's achoed through the abyss.
" CRACK!!! "

Change P.O.V
Catnap and Dogday stared at Izuku as he holds the soccer ball silently. They couldn't help but to feel anxious since Izuku stayed silent for over a whole minute.
Catnap couldn't take the wait anymore and was about to shake Izuku off from his daze until the two notice blood to suddenly drip out of his nose.
" Izuku!? "
" Thud! "
Izuku fall's on the couch. Letting the ball slip away from his hands as it bounce off the table.
It landed on the ground and stop. It's spherical shape started to mold and move in an unatural way. The smacking of flesh and cracking bones followed the Irratic movement of the soccer ball kept occuring before arms and legs pop's out from it's rubber soccer balls skin.
Catnap and Dogday seeing this sequence of gory transformation emmidiently transform themselves into their monster form. Ready to strike once the ball finally transform into a living being.
As It's spine and organs form, a green fabric suddenly appeared. Wrapping itself around it's disgusting display until a small rabbit like plushie formed right infront of them.
Dogday couldn't help but to lower his guard. His eyes widening in disbelief as he couldn't believe his eyes.
Why wouldn't he. He recognize the green plushie infront if him anywhere as she was one of the children he used to take care off. The one he used to support when she was having a hard time accepting her identity as a toy mascot like any other smiling critters before her. The one he couldn't save from her sealed fate.
The green rabbit plushie felt her consciousness is drifting back. Her eyes slowly opening as the blurry sight of Izuku's room was improving slowly to the point that she sorta recognize it.
She couldn't move as she in a daze state. Her mind was blank and her sense's are brand new since she has just woken up from her very long rest.
