Nezu sighed, "You're down to 5 hours Toshinori? You really need to manage your time better."

The man in question rubbed his head, embarrassed, "I'm sorry, I had to extend it because my time ran out when I was fighting a tricky opponent."

"That's exactly what I'm saying, Toshinori, you need to manage your time better. Soon people will start noticing how little you show up now, even if you are solving multiple crimes an hour."

"You're right. That's why I've come to you, I think it's time to start searching for a successor."' His voice was serious, a clear contrast to the apologetic tone it had previously.

Nezu sipped his tea, clearly happy, "Good choice."

"That's why I've come here, asking if I could maybe become a teacher here next year. I plan to spend the remainder of the year around Mustafu, and then if I could maybe become a teacher next year, I could search for my successor here." Toshinori explained.

"It's a good plan," Nezu nodded, "But I have another idea. Do you remember Invincible?"

Toshinori nodded, "Akira Endo? Of course I do, he's a good kid with a good heart, isn't he coming here this year?"

"He is. A good kid with a good heart as you've said, plus a quirk that rivals your own. Perfect for the next symbol of peace isn't it?"

Toshinori's eyes widened, "You don't mean…"

"Partly," Nezu made a so and so gesture with his paw, "What i'm saying is, Akira is worthy of the next symbol of peace, with or without one for all. He'd be that much stronger with One for All, but in my opinion he'd be too strong, unstoppable in other words. In the event he goes rogue, which I highly doubt, or the event he gets brainwashed or forced to do something, no one could stop him."

"I agree. He does have a history of killing people. Although those are villains, to kill someone at this age means he must have some very strong ideals. If he gets the power into his hands, then there's no telling what he could do." Toshinori pointed out.

"What I'm saying is, I'm planning on Akira to become the next symbol of peace, at least until your new successor comes around. Think about it, Toshinori, 2 symbols of peace, unstoppable in power. In the event one turns bad, the other could stop them. Japan would truly be the safest place in the world." Nezu had an intense look on his face.

Toshinori put a hand on his chin, and found himself nodding along, "2 symbols of peace." He found himself picturing that world with a smile. He himself knew how hard his job was. Without him, Japan would be crawling with powerful villains out on the streets. So much stress was placed on him everyday. With 2 people, they could ease each other's burdens and make Japan a safe haven.

"It's a good plan, so what do you plan to do with young Invincible?"

Nezu drummed his nailed paws against the edge of his desk, a sweet smile edging his face, "Well firstly, I need to get rid of his classmates. This batch of examinees has been one of the worst we have seen, and it simply would be a waste for Akira to be taught alongside him. Akira needs to be the main focus for Aizawa."

Toshinori sweat dropped, "And how are you going to do that?" The smile that appeared on Nezu's face gave him the chills. It was scarier than most villains he had fought.

"I'm not sure," He shrugged, "But I'll think of something!"

His voice was jovial and upbeat, and Toshinori regretted even meeting with Nezu in the first place. Everytime he did it just served to make him more scared of him.

"Ok…" Toshinori just wanted to get out of this conversation…and room, "So is that sorted then? Can you do that for me?"

"I sure can." He thought it was the end of that, so he gave one last nod towards the Nezu and made to leave, but just as the door was closing, the high pitched voice of terror stopped him.

"And Toshinori!" His eyes widened, "Make sure to keep track of your time limit!"

All tension left his body, and he managed to utter out a reply before leaving and speed walking down the halls.

Akira looked at his reflection in the mirror, rubbing the slight stubble that had shown on his chin. It felt like sandpaper. He was now 14 years of age, and had mostly gone through puberty aside from a few extra inches in height he was sure he was going to grow.

From what Akira could tell, he was quite an attractive man now that he didn't have the baby face anymore. If he wasn't going to become a hero, then becoming a model was very much a possibility, especially with his physique.

It had been 2 weeks since the UA entrance exam, and an extra week since he got the message from Aizawa himself that he passed, though Akira knew that already after winning his bracket. Included in this news was the fact he would be in class 1A which was taught by Aizawa. Again, something he knew, but information he needed to be told nonetheless.

He flexed his arm, frowning as the thick fabric of the uniform covered and shrouded his muscles. He glanced at the watch on his hand and seeing the time, he decided he needed to leave before he was late to class.

It was a quick 10 minute walk up to UA, and another quick trip up the stairs and some looking around before he found himself in front of the right classroom.

He took a deep breath. These would be his classmates for the next 3 years. He only hoped they weren't cunts.

When he entered, he was embarrassed to say no one even noticed him. They were all too busy with their own devices. He spotted a group of girls gossiping in the back, centred on one desk which contained lots of cosmetics and makeup.

He saw another group of males doing roughly the same without the makeup, and initially considered going over to them, but decided against it. Akira took a seat at the front of the class, away from all of the gossip.

He spotted a girl sitting next to him, and he decided to introduce himself, "Hello, I'm Akira, nice to meet you."

She briefly glanced at him, giving a slight look of disgust before turning back to her phone like he was never there.

'Ok, looks like that's a bust.' After his first attempt at human interaction failed, Akira decided to stay quiet at his desk and set up his notebooks. The classroom slowly filled up and up, and the noises of chatter got higher and higher, but still no one introduced themselves to Akira.

It was only because of an ever so familiar feeling Akira got that he managed to notice Aizawa lying in his sleeping back, staring straight at him. They stared at each other, Aizawa giving him a look.

Akira nodded, understanding what the look meant, 'Got it, I won't tell anyone you're here. They have to notice themselves.'

For the next 5 minutes, the loud chatter of the classroom didn't reduce once. It was a constant noise of gossip, laughter and jokes. Eventually, it seemed someone was sensible enough to notice Aizawa.

"What the fuck is that!?" One of the girls screeched.

"Is it dead?" Another one said.

Aizawa took a queue to unzip his sleeping bag and hop out. He stood up, looking at the class with an unimpressed look, "It took you 5 minutes to notice me. In that time, I could have killed hundreds of people, and because you are too busy gossiping you wouldn't notice." Aizawa said with a sigh.

He slowly got up from his sleeping bag and brought out a UA uniform. Tossing it to the nearest student, he said, "Put these on and meet me in the field in 5 minutes. Directions are outside the locker room." And with that, Aizawa walked off.

"What the hell was that?"

"I don't know, is he really a teacher, should we report him?"

"Heh, don't worry, if he tries something I'll protect you all"

"Yeah right…"

Akira tuned the rest of his class out and walked out of the classroom. Making his way to the locker room, he wasted no time in putting on his costume and making his way to the field.

"That was fast. Any more on their way?" Aizawa asked, sipping a jelly pouch.

"I didn't see many, maybe only a few. I did get dressed pretty fast."

Aizawa nodded, "Hm. Ok."

There was a short lull of silence which permeated the air, before it was suddenly broken by Aizawa, "So, you were trained by Knuckleduster?"

Akira nodded, "Yeah. He's a good teacher."

"That he is, I've fought him one to many times. How is he doing? Is he still drinking?" Aizawa questioned.

Akira chuckled, "Only on occasion."

"Only on occasion huh?" Aizawa raised an eyebrow, "So you mean everyday?"

"Everyday." Akira repeated.

It took an extra couple of minutes before someone else arrived, and an extra 15 minutes before the last of them showed up.

"Is that everyone? Ok before we get started…You, you, you and you are expelled. Pack your bags and leave." Aizawa pointed to the group of 4 girls who arrived last.

"What why!?"

"Oh my God!"

"You were 20 minutes late. Instead of showing up on time and listening to your teacher, you were more bothered about your makeup and making sure your costume has no creases. We can't afford to have hero's like that, so leave." Aizawa explained in a brutal fashion, destroying all the girl's hopes and dreams. He cut off any room for argument with a sharp glare, red eyes flaring up, "You heard me. Now leave."

And so they were down to 16.

"Now that that is out of the way, we can get started. To get a good idea of where each of you are at, I'll be taking you through a series of tests. You've been taking standardised tests your whole life, but you never got to use your quirks anymore. Those with the most power excel, and you weren't allowed to do that. But here at UA, anything goes. Akira, what was your ball metre record throw?"

"Uhhh…I was home schooled, but properly around 80 metres." Akira coolly responded.

Aizawa nodded, "Ok, come up here and throw the ball, but use your quirk this time. Anything goes, just stay in the circle." He tossed the ball over to him and Akira walked to the podium.

"Ok, here goes…" Akira winded his arm back, flicking it forward with all the speed and power he could muster.

*BOOM*

The ball was thrown in the air, creating a large gust of wind, blowing people back slightly.

Aizawa's phone beeped, displaying a number. "2000 metres. All of you need to know your capabilities."

"2000 metres? What the hell…"

"This is surreal…"

Aizawa continued on, "Today you'll compete in eight physical tests for me to gauge your potential. Whoever I think does not perform up to the standard of a hero in training will be expelled just like the last 4. Got it?"

"Hey, don't you think it's unfair to expel people? I understand the last four, but to expel people just because they might not perform is a bit too much don't you think?" One of the students asked.

"Does anyone else agree with him?" Aizawa asked. 4 students did. "Ok, all you 5 are expelled." He glared at each of the students, "33, 35, 36, 32, 40. Those were your places on the exam. I may have let you off if you performed well, but those who just barely got in and can't listen to those who know best don't deserve to be here."

11 Students now. The herd was being thinned.

"Ok, anyone else wanna say anything?" The rest of the students shook their heads.

"Let's carry on with where we left off. Yaruo, you're up next." A normal looking kid came up next. When Aizawa tossed him the ball, he struggled to capture it.

Yaruo threw the ball quite a respectable distance, totalling in at a distance of 500 metres. As he was walking back to the group, Aizawa stopped him.

"Yaruo stop. Can I ask what your quirk is?" Aizawa asked.

"Ah, I call it 'Push'. It allows me to emit a field which pushes things away from me with great force. I can only use it on my hands right now." Yaruo responded.

"So you're a close quarter type?"

Yaruo nodded, "Yes."

"Then can I ask why you haven't trained your body at all? Why are you so weak?" Aizawa dryly asked.

"I'm sorry?"

"You should be sorry. A quirk like that is suited for close quarter means, but in the process of training your quirk you seem to have neglected your physical training. I saw your footage from the entrance exam, you were running out of breath 2 minutes in. While you were sharpening your sword, you never learned how to use it, so to speak. You're expelled."

10.

"Next test is the 100 metres sprint. Akira and Tamako, you're up first."

Akira got 2.01 seconds and passed with flying ease. Oh, and Aizawa also expelled another 2 students.

"Grip test."

Akira crushed the machine fully, getting the top score. Aizawa expelled another student.

"Long jump."

Akira cleared the entire field. Aizawa expelled a student who tried to sabotage the results.

"And final test, long distance running."

Akira started off at a steady pace, slowly gaining distance on everyone else. By this point there were only 4 students other than him left. Aizawa had expelled them in a cold and ruthless fashion that he hadn't seen before.

He slowly picked up the pace, finding the run rather easy. He ran more than double, no, triple this distance each morning and in the evening. His stamina was the thing he was least concerned about.

He lapped his fellow competitors once, ignoring the jealous looks from all of them. 2 of the students were struggling to keep up, while the other 2 were running at a leisure pace.

He lapped the 2 struggling competitors again. They were beginning to slow down much, sweat dripping down their face as they took in heavy breaths. He ignored them, turning his attention to the other 2 students he was catching up to.

Call it a hunch or a gut feeling, but Akira felt on guard as he passed the 2 students. His hunch was right, as just as he was about to pass them, one of them roared in a rage, screaming as he threw his fist forward.

Akira used his hand to parry the attack off course. Restraining much of his strength, he delivered a punch to his face, knocking him onto the floor. He had already turned to the next student who had begun to act, but Akira quickly knocked him out with a swift kick to the side of the head.

"Stop." Aizawa said. He pointed to the 2 students, the conscious ones, "You both are expelled. Work on your stamina." He walked over to Akira, then looked at the 2 students below with a sigh.

He took out 2 apostic notes and stuck them on both of the students. It said they were expelled. The reason was obvious.

"You pass." Aizawa said dryly.

1.

And that was the story of how Akira became the only remaining student in class 1A.
